I eventually HAD to go to the doctor for my yeast infection (that is what it was after all, I was right) after I had been up since 4:00 am in total misery the other morning. He gave me a perscription for that pink pill and it seemed to work amazingly. No itching at all yesterday (I took it yesterday around noon), and none today until aroung 5:00 when I came home from work. Then I was all kinds of itchy again. -_- It's subsided after a warm bath and some vagisil cream, but should I be worried or is this normal? I'm so paranoid it isn't going to go away like it should.

hi everybody. i just wanted to thank everyone that commented on my last post; you're words of encouragement were so awesome and supportive. this community rocks :).

i have another question, though, about yeast infections.

once a month [about once a month, sometimes more or less], ONLY during my period, i get itchiness on my outer labia, just on the surface of my vagina. this only happens when i wear pads, which i have to wear to sleep because i often sleep for more than 8 hours [lucky me!]. is this a yeast infection? i think that it's due to the dried blood in the pad irritating my skin. there is no discharge and there aren't any visible bumps, just redness from me being itchy. i wore tampons last month just to see if it was due to pads, and sure enough, there was no itching. it usually doesn't even last a day, maybe only a couple of hours if i leave it alone.

any advice? does this ever happen to any of you? i'm not certain whether it's a yeast infection before because other than this, i've never had one.

oh god people, i post here sometimes but this time i'm so embarassed that i had to make another name. dumb, i know. anyways. i'm a 19 year old female and i have noticeable dark hair on my upper lip. i've been hella self conscious about it since the lady who waxed my eyebrows was all "do you want me to do your mustasche too?" and i was like um *embarassed avoidance of question* and it sucked. anyway, she put the idea of waxing it into my head but i was too embarassed to ask her any questions. everyone here is so helpful that i figured hey why not, even though it's not really vagina related. mods please feel free to delete.

1. what does the hair look like when it grows back? is it thicker or darker? will i have STUBBLE? i definitely do not want like, a five o'clock shadow.
2. how long does it take to grow back? do you have to wait until the hair is all long to get it waxed again?
3. is it really worth it? can girls with mustasches still be cute? haha

my mom tells me that i shouldn't because she is convinced that it will be thicker after it grows in, and that you can't see it anyway, but she is my mom and she is supposed to say that.

Long Winded Post

This morning before I got out of bed, I masturbated and when I was done, I had blood on my hand. What a wonderful way to find out I've started my period. :-) I didn't really think a lot about it. I had a lot of blood on my fingers, but I'd been messing around the outside of my vagina, so it seemed all normal. Which, I started while I was masturbating, because before I began, I checked to see I came up clean (a habit that began when masturbating at the end of my period, actually).

When I went to the bathroom right after, I wiped and I had very little blood on the toilet paper. As opposed to putting in a tampon (in fear of being light and drying out my vagina), I wore a pantyliner and I'd check it at work and if I started to get heavier, I'd put in a tampon.

(Gah, I want a Keeper or a DivaCup, so I could put it in and not worry about drying, but that's another post)

So I went all day and I had a little streak of blood on the pantyliner. Right now I'm going without any protection whatsover, and I'm hardly bleeding at all.

Last month, I had this where I went light for three days and had two days of absolute hell, followed by two more days of light. Which, my period has not always been regular, but it has ALWAYS been only five days. I've never, even when I was on BC, had a period longer or shorter than five days. I'm afraid I'm going to run into this again this month, but as it is, I'm confused on why I had this burst of blood this morning, and then hardly anything for the rest of the day.

Any thoughts?

Period Problem

Bah. Ever since I had to go on antibiotics for my last UTI, my period has come earlier. For the last 3 months, I have had about 3 pills left on my pack, and my period has come early. First was most likely the medication messing me up, second was probably stress, and third I dont know. Do you think something may be messed up with the pills, or is it just my body being off kilter?

Hello; I haven't seen this exactly addressed. I am usually one of those women who has no problem getting quite wet when aroused. I live in New England, one of those areas with very distinct seasons, and during the summer I sometimes have trouble self-lubricating whereas most of the year there is an excess, although I'm just as mentally aroused(or more, being in extra good shape, and people wearing less clothing, etc.). Some guesses are being slightly dehydrated, or perhaps drier air due to air conditioning or fans! It is not really a problem, as I'll just buy lube or drink more, but I was curious if anyone else noticed this, or if i'm crazy!

I had a weird thing happen to me the other day. I was on the third day of my period and had just walked into my apartment when all at once it felt like something was coming out of me.

NOT a feeling of gushing, but of "stuff" so to speak and it just kept coming. The blood soaked through my shorts and ran down my left thigh.

I went to the bathroom and looked at my underware and there was an enormous amount of blood clots. If I could have picked them up, it would have filled my palm, maybe my entire hand.

I didn't have once ounce of pain. And it didn't do it again. I'm sorry if this is too graffic, but this really has scared me to be honest.

Now first off I did NOT have a miscarriage because I haven't even KISSED a guy in 3 long years, much less have sex. I'm 33, single, and had an abortion when I was 21. I've never been pregnant since then.

Is this common to happen? I also had an abnormal pap back in July, and I am having my second one on August 23rd. Could these two things be related?

Hi-I have never posted here before and I have a question. Lately when I have intercourse with my boyfriend, I cannot stay "properly lubricated" the whole time, and instead of stopping to use lubrication, we just continue to do the deed. This leaves me with immense pain while going to the bathroom or just sitting. Is there anything you can reccomend that I used to sooth the pain?

I get my period about every 5 or 6 weeks. It's always a mystery to me as to when it will rear it's ugly head. It's usually extremely heavy for the first 2 days (as in super plus tampons are gone through within 20 minutes) so I don't really think thats entirely too healthy to change that often so when it's like that I use heavy pads, and change those also every half hour or less.

After the three days it becomes a normal period. The fourth and 5th day it tapers off. 6th and 7th day it lingers around. 8th 9th and 10 days sometimes I still am getting enough brownish blood discharge to have to wear a thinner pad.

When I bleed like this I often get dizzy, lightheaded and I feel the need to throw up.

Would it be possible something is wrong with me? I never got my period until I was like 15 year old. A few years after that, and since it has been like this.

UTI

I just got done with a three day regimen of cipro to clear up a UTI I had. Now, I just went to go pee, and I felt a dull ache on the left side of the middle of my back while urinating. Being the hypochondriac I am, I am worried that this is something that has crawled to my liver (despite the cipro) and is doing damage. It only hurt for about 15 seconds, and afterwards completely went away. Can someone reassure me, or tell me what it feels like when a UTI has spread to the liver, so I don't freak out anymore?
I am not running a fever or anything.

I missed my birthcontrol 3 days in a row and smart me took all 3 pills at once. The next day I got my period, a whole month early. I started a new pack and everything like the doctor instructed me to do. But I have had my period for 20 days now and I'm starting to get really worried. Has anyone had this happen to them? What did you do? I would really appreciate the help!

Ok, my boyfriend and I usually have sex at least once a day, no problems. Today there was some pain. It felt like it was maybe in my uterus/front of my lower abdomen? My vaginal walls also felt a little tender if he went a little fast or rough. Is this something I should be worried about? We've never had this problem before and I'm hoping it's something that won't happen again. Any ideas?

My planned parenhood when up $5. Poo. And I had my first experience with a male gyno. today. He was kind of quirky (and older), so I guess I didn't mind it... that is, until he goes... [randomly inserts two fingers without warning and presses down] "This muscles is tense. Relax it, or this is going to be uncomfy. Ok... big act of faith. Open 'em up!" But in the end, I got a freebie pill pack, so yay for me.

Anyway, someone asked me to post the answer to my question about antibiotics and the pill when the meds in questions were actually eye drops. I asked the nurse as she took my stats, but forgot to get back-up by asking the doctor. But the nurse says that eye drop antibiotics shouldn't interfere with the effectiveness of the pill since they aren't being absorbed nto the bloodstream like oral antibiotics.

So there you have it.

Hey Ladies!
I'm new to this community so bare with me :p. I was trying to look through the archives but my computer is PMS-ing today, so im sorry if this is a repeated post.

I have a question though. I dont know about any of you, but i shave my areas. My boyfriend likes it that way too. I dont mind doing it, but i get aweful razor burn, no matter what i do, what kind of razor, water temp, different shaving creams, i just cant get rid of it. Does anyone else have trouble with razor burn, and if so, what should i do!!
