My planned parenhood when up $5. Poo. And I had my first experience with a male gyno. today. He was kind of quirky (and older), so I guess I didn't mind it... that is, until he goes... [randomly inserts two fingers without warning and presses down] "This muscles is tense. Relax it, or this is going to be uncomfy. Ok... big act of faith. Open 'em up!" But in the end, I got a freebie pill pack, so yay for me.

Anyway, someone asked me to post the answer to my question about antibiotics and the pill when the meds in questions were actually eye drops. I asked the nurse as she took my stats, but forgot to get back-up by asking the doctor. But the nurse says that eye drop antibiotics shouldn't interfere with the effectiveness of the pill since they aren't being absorbed nto the bloodstream like oral antibiotics.

So there you have it.

For a minute, I thought you meant your PPh went up to $5. I was like "dayum! $5 isn't bad at all!!" I need to actually READ the sentence before I react. ^~

No gyno should put fingers in you without warning! The whole process has to be about trust and information. For someone with me (with vaginismus, where the vaginal muscles tense up when penetration is attempted) that would be a bad, bad thing. Hell, I can't even get two of my own fingers inside, most of the time! SO I would probably scream if someone did that to me...

Nah. The post probably made it sound bad, but it wasn't like he shoved them up there, really. He just placed them on the lower muscles right at the opening because I was tensing up. It wasn't a violation or anything. He was very nice and understanding and helpful with questions.

Your gyn sounds like mine -- quirky and older and sometimes says kind of odd things. Since I find the whole exam to be somewhat surreal, having this kind of freaky guy be part of it just completes it. I don't mind it.

Of course, when I think about it, the same oddity from my dentist would scare the dickens out of me. Wonder what that says about me. Heh.
