summer dryness

Hello; I haven't seen this exactly addressed. I am usually one of those women who has no problem getting quite wet when aroused. I live in New England, one of those areas with very distinct seasons, and during the summer I sometimes have trouble self-lubricating whereas most of the year there is an excess, although I'm just as mentally aroused(or more, being in extra good shape, and people wearing less clothing, etc.). Some guesses are being slightly dehydrated, or perhaps drier air due to air conditioning or fans! It is not really a problem, as I'll just buy lube or drink more, but I was curious if anyone else noticed this, or if i'm crazy!

yeah.. i think i am more dry in the summer if we're going to have sex in the bedroom where the fan is at the foot of the bed. it's not that i'm producing less lubricant, i think it's just that the fan is drying me off! :P

mmhmm...sometimes i think the fan is literally acting as a blow-dryer (will often just turn off), but other times it is not even on, which is why I suspect sweating out needed moisture might be a contributing factor!

Maybe you're dehydrating because of the heat, and not drinking enough wanter. Really, the air in New England - at least southern New England, is very very wet in the summer. It's been so humid here that I've felt like I was swimming in a very hot sticky apartment most days. :) But I guess if you have a fan blowing directly at you, it could be drying you out.

Hello; yeah, i've been drinking a lot of water/other fluids, but sometimes it can be hard to find a balance...so you have a really ample amount, but don't feel sloshy and are peeing all the time because you had too much. But i'll keep gulping it down!

I think it has something to do with wearing less clothes during the summer. For real, when you have to wear pants all the time (sometimes tight), it makes me lube a bit for no reason. eh, who knows.

You're right...that could be a factor...maybe everything "air dries" more when it is exposed, even though it is healthier overall, or something...
