where to get waxed
Aug. 7th, 2004 07:51 amThere was a post about this for gynecologists, and a lot of people don't know where they should go locally to get a brazilian or regular bikini wax. So if you get this done, please post who or what salon you go to and in what town. Thanks :)
My right vagina
Aug. 7th, 2004 08:59 amI remember asking about this ages ago when I first joined this community.
My vagina seems to tip to the right. Any discharge/leakage falls on the right side of my knickers. I also seem to have more hair on that side.
My entire right side seems to have interesting features to it.
But anyway, when I insert my Divacup it also tips to the right, more proof that I have a skew-wiff vagina. Interesting.
And I'm developing a vague itch down there. I hope it's just irritation from the end of my cup and not yeast. *growls at yeast and takes more acidopholous*

fingernails...
Aug. 7th, 2004 10:02 amso last night I learned something new. You can tell the girls that don't masturbate cos they'll have long nails. *winces* I'm growing my nails for the ball at the end of this month and goddamnit I think I accidently gave myself a hysterectomy! Owies...
Do any of you guys have long nails and manage to pleasure yourself without butchering your girly bits?

sore vagina
Aug. 7th, 2004 10:40 amO.k.. this morning I woke up, and for some reason the two flaps (oh god, I am so uneducated I know) of my vagina were REALLY dry. I have been riding my bike recently and think this might be the cause of it. Are there any moisterizers or anything I could use?
Also it constantly hurts (but just a bit) from bike riding and I think for this reason I have absolutly no desire to have sex, but I am trying to lose weight and don't want to stop.. has this happened to anyone and does anyone have any suggestions for that?

Aug. 7th, 2004 11:31 amI overslept and thus accidentially left my tampon in for 9.5-10 hrs, give or take 30 minutes.
Should I be really worried? :\

New obsession
Aug. 7th, 2004 12:08 pmI remember reading a post and/or comments not too long ago talking about plucking the pubic hair of the vagina. When I first read about that I cringed. The thought of plucking my pubic hair was frightening. But then after thinking about it, I began to get curious. I pluck my eyebrows religiously(obsessively actually, ha!). So I finally had the courage and built up the nerve to try it.
It wasn't bad at all. It was just like plucking my eyebrows. It felt a lil weird at first, but you get used to it (like your eyebrows). I'm hooked. Although the process takes a long time depending on how you want your vagina to look(I'm still not done and I've spent the past 45 min plucking away), look at the pros...no razor burn and bumps, no hot wax, and most of all it's free!
To those of you who pluck: about how long does it take you to complete your grooming? Does soaking in warm water make it any easier? Are there any cons (ie ingrown hairs)? How long before you pluck again? Any tips would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

YI prevention and birth control
Aug. 7th, 2004 01:01 pmim on the pill, and i tend to get a lot of yeast infections. however, i still want to be taking the pill, because that is the only problem i have with the pill and i know it can be treated. even though yoghurt does help, i dont want that to be the only way to prevent the YI. the problem is that i go to boarding school and im gonna be going back soon, and the last thing i need is a series of yeast infections (its a bitch trying to treat it or get to a doctor while im away). my question is, is there any other way to get acidopholous, besides yoghurt? like a supplement? if anyone knows any way of getting it, please let me know.

Aug. 7th, 2004 01:18 pmYesterday, I had pain during sex. It could have just been him hitting against my cervix, but I've never had pain with him before, so I'm doubtful. Is this normal? I also have very irregular periods, and I'm wondering if these could be symptoms of some sort of problem.
Whhhyyyyy??
Aug. 7th, 2004 01:52 pmI've had a cold for the last few weeks so I've been taking loads of stuff for it.
Garlic
Horseradish
Echinachea
Zinc
Vitamin C
Fenugreek
Mallow Root
The last few days I've started taking acidopholous too 'cause I figured it wouldn't hurt.
So WHY on earth do I get a yeast infection NOW?? I mean, I'm pretty sure it's due to me wearing the cup but the last two cycles I had no problems.
*cries*

Aug. 7th, 2004 02:00 pmalrighty:
i posted a while ago about being on ortho tricyclin lo and spotting, and everyone said it was normal. but ive never spotted before so it was weird. ive been on it for almost 4 months now. i dont think the spotting is from the birth control thats why im asking you guys :)
what else could this be from?
my boyfriend and i are sexually consistant, and i thought it could be from just being too rough but who knows.
any suggestions?

What was your "sex ed" (if any) like?
Aug. 7th, 2004 04:16 pmA conversation I had today prompted me to wonder - what was sex ed like for you, if you had any at all? Mine was just a thing in 5th grade where they separated the guys and girls, showed us a little video, handed out free stuff etc. There may have been more in high school health (a class you could take anytime grades 9-12) but I tested out of that class, so I don't know. So, for all of you lovely ladies - and the guys out there too, I'm especially curious to hear yours - what'd you have in the way of sex ed?
EDIT: The real question I have here is: what sort of things were you taught? I see so many people come here wondering "Am I normal?" for things that (to me, since I've been lurking a while) seem really basic. Did you ever learn about things like yeast infections, masturbation, etc?

underwear?
Aug. 7th, 2004 09:19 pmIs it worse or better for your vagina to go without underwear under pants?
Opened up?
Aug. 7th, 2004 09:29 pmLast night, my boyfriend and I had sex 4 times. The fourth time, maybe the third.. it hurt to have him come out of me. Literally, take his dick out of me. It stung a little bit, and this has happened before.. so I just leave it alone, and let it heal itself. And, it's normal in a day or two.
Has anyone else had this happen to them? It's just a little tear, "split" I'd say. Lead me to memories if there are any, I searched but nothing was quite what I was looking for.
antibiotics and odd discharge.
Aug. 7th, 2004 09:43 pm
Howdy. So last week I was prescribed an antibiotic to help clear up some stubborn acne, and now my vagina's a bit weird. The antibiotic in question is called Minocycline, and I was directed to take two 100mg capsules per day. I took two pills last Wednesday, but the side effects I experienced were quite bad (extreme dizziness, nausea, unsteadiness = can't walk too well) and so I stopped taking the antibiotics after that first day. Ever since then, my vagina's been different-- I've been getting more discharge than normal, it's a little thicker, and the color has changed as well, it's light yellow with some brown. I had a physical and a Pap last Tuesday, and so I thought perhaps the discharge had something to do with that. Also, my vagina smells more... vagina-y. Normally I don't notice any smell at all, but over the past few days I've noticed that I can actually smell it. It doesn't smell fishy or bready or anything, it smells like my vagina normally smells, only amplified. If that makes any sense. I'm not itchy or anything, so I don't think it's a yeast infection (if it is, then it's nothing like any yeast infection I've had before). If it doesn't clear up in a few days, I'll try and contact my doctor about it. I work 7:30am-5:30pm and my doctor's office is only open 8:30-5 and I can't call during work, so my only hope of getting ahold of my doctor is if I get off work early. So this is why I'm posting here now, just to see what you all think. I'm not very worried about this, just curious as to what's up with my body. Thanks in advance for your comments and advice.
