Yesterday, I had pain during sex. It could have just been him hitting against my cervix, but I've never had pain with him before, so I'm doubtful. Is this normal? I also have very irregular periods, and I'm wondering if these could be symptoms of some sort of problem.

which position were you in? there is another spot than can be hit suring sex if its too deep (very rare though) and if you were in missionary then you couldnt have been too deep..

Yeah, we were in missionary. It hurt a little with me on top too.

Your cervix moves throughout your cycle, so it's possible that a position that you've used in the past without a problem caused it to get hit this time around. Missionary is a favorite position of mine, but every now and then, I can't do it without making some adjustments to avoid pain.

If you continue to have problems with it hurting after a day or two, or if the pain persists from this time around, going to the doc is a good idea (just to be safe!).

*grins* They change a lot throughout the month. I have an IUD and usually check for my strings right after my period. This week, I've been checking every two days because I got a new IUD so I'm a bit nervous. It's been really interesting seeing how the cervix location has changed over the last WEEK! I've always noted the changes, but never really followed a cycle. It's been quite interesting.
