Is it worse or better for your vagina to go without underwear under pants?

What about chafing? I always go panty-less when I'm wearing skirts or dresses, because I feel much more fresh and free-- it's so easy to tell that it's healthier for my vagina! But in terms of pants, I worry about the roughness of the material, and fibers as irritants.....

hm, i guess it depends on how tight your pants are? I've never had any problems wearing jeans without undies.

iv heard that if you dont wear underwear at night, it can help prevent infections, but im not sure if that could be true all the time. i cant wear anything other than cotton underwear though cos anything else just annoys me comfortwise..

i wouldnt go without underwear if im wearing something like jeans, or anything that can irritate

I don't wear underwear at night, usually just a t shirt or nothing. Durring the day I do though, just because it's more comfortable for me, maybe because I'm used to it. I don't think wearing underwear or not really matters unless your clothing is going to irritate you.

I'm not sure, but I only wear panties about 50% of the time, if even that often.
If my jeans are too tight, they can irritate my cookie.. but that's with or without panties. I don't see how a thin piece of fabric would help if yur wearing cookie cuttin' pants... but that's just me.

i have a large amount of discharge on a regular basis, and i don't like getting it on my clothes, so i always wear panties under my clothes, unless it's laundry day, and even then i'm commando for only a few hours.

as for whether it's "better" or "worse," i'd say it depends on your individual chemistry. if you notice you're getting more infections and you've stopped wearing panties, maybe you need to go back to wearing them, or vice-versa.

As for me, I love skivvies. I wear decently tight pants and miniskirts, so panties are required to (A) prevent my wild-woman pubic hairs from being forcably removed by seams (B) to keep my Happy Vagina from leaking on my pants, and thus enabling me to wash the pants less often and (C) to keep my privates private in a miniskirt.

I really love to sleep naked, but I tend to wear loose-fitting boxers to bed if I'm at school and therefore in the company of others. I'll wear panties if I'm on my period and want to wear a pad to bed instead of some internal device (give my girl a break from being all plugged up).

My relationship with panties, though, is paralell to my relationship with bras: as a busty girl, I must wear a bra or face the pain of jigglage (it is painful). So, I have learned to love bras and only wear ones that I find both attractive and comfortable (they do exist). With panties, since my choice of below-the-waist attire mandates them, I have learned to love panties and only wear ones that I find both comfortable and attractive (they exist in spades).

It probably doesn't matter...

I like not wearing underwear only when I know my butt won't be hanging out of my pants whenever I sit down or get up, or even as I walk.. Or when I just want to be comfortable... or when I know I won't be walking long distances..

Unrelated to the discussion, but...

...only when I know my butt won't be hanging out of my pants whenever I sit down or get up...

When I was in my last year of University a couple years ago, there was this girl who arrived late to class. She came in wearing these little tiny pants, and went to sit at the front of the class. As she sat down, her pants did not sit down with her and she mooned the entire class. Then the teacher says, "oh, that's my seat, can you sit somewhere else?" so she had to get up (tugging her pants up) and sit somewhere else.

I never ever wear panties. I don't even think I own a pair. I haven't worn them but maybe a total of 5 times in the last 18months. I can't stand them. And I haven't had a problem wearing jeans or anything of the like

the less material covering your vag, the easier it is for it to breathe. unless you were wearing really tight pants of an abrasive material, i don't think you'd have a problem. i go without panties most of the time, and i never have.

in my opinion

to be blunt, I have a pretty smelly vagina with lots of normal discharge, but since I stopped underwear, I've noticed the smell has gone down and I hardly find discharge on my pants, only when I wipe.

one of the best decisions I've ever made.
