alrighty:
i posted a while ago about being on ortho tricyclin lo and spotting, and everyone said it was normal. but ive never spotted before so it was weird. ive been on it for almost 4 months now. i dont think the spotting is from the birth control thats why im asking you guys :)

what else could this be from?

my boyfriend and i are sexually consistant, and i thought it could be from just being too rough but who knows.

any suggestions?

it actually can be from the BC, even if youve been on the pill that long. being on seasonale (which is where u get yr period every 3 months),i found that some people can get a little spotting everyday until they get their period.

you know how (when yr not on BC) yr period is late, and you sress about it, and the stress makes it come later? on BC, if your spotting, and you keep stressing about it, it can continue also.

it may also be ecause the type of pill you are taking is a lower dose than ortho tri cyclen. also, even if you have been on the pill for that long you can still get spotting. its a bummer though. like, im on seasonale and i got a little spotting even after being on it for six months

Spotting during the first 1-3 months on birth control pills is not unusual, but if you're in your fourth month and still spotting, you may want to call your doctor. S/he may suggest that you move to a different pill to control the spotting.

once or twice a day usually... my doctor said to wait a good month after i got on BC before we started using only BC for protection but this is the fourth month and the first month we stopped using condoms so we waited until i was sure it was in my system but i thought that maybe that could be a reason as well
