What is the soonest I could take a pregnancy test and get an accurate result?

I've got a very mild yeast infection, no discharge just the itch. I was wondering could one use just tea tree oil to get rid of one, and if so, how much and for how long?
thanks ladies :)

sorry if this is off-topic, but hopefully it's allowable because i'm pretty clueless.

i've never been to a gyno before for various reasons, but am planning on conceiving relatively soon and want the *thumbs-up* from one (just making sure i don't have any serious problems that could hurt a pregnancy).

that being said, i have no idea how to go about finding one. i mean, there are about 100 in my local phone book.. some are private practitioners, some are groups of a few, some are groups of dozens, some men, some women - where do you even start trying to pick one? is there some gyno-review website somewhere? lol

or even - i'm in northern NJ (specifically, butler - north morris co.) anyone have any suggestions? ;)

a child looks at a display of misshapen papayas resembling human genetalia in downtown jakarta.

found this on yahoo news and thought i'd share it with all you lovely vagina friends. more entertaining than the fruit in this photo is the kid in the corner with his finger up his nose. :-) enjoy!

here's another question for you wonderful ladies:

Would I have to get another physical/pap if I wanted to switch BC? Either from Ortho to something with a lower hormone, or Ortho to something like the NuvaRing?

I tried to make an appointment with my gyno today and I forgot how many women LOVE her services here in Austin Texas and I can't get in to her until the 24th of this month. It's not time for my annual physical or anything like that, I'm just curious if her secretary making an appointment for me to come in is even worth it (don't wanna do the copay crap). Or if she would be able to just do something like that over the phone?

Anyone got any information on that?
Any info is MUCH appreciated.

Thank You.

I am so sorry for posting this? But i was looking for the topics but i can't find it.

It has been said to me the Tea Tree Is used for many things? What exact is it for and how could I use it? Especially for my vagina? Are you able to use this as a home remedy as well?

Thank you and again sorry if this question to be asked once again...

I had my appointment today with my gynecologist. He said that I have PCOS. He was flipping through all the pictures from my previous surgeries (I've had 12 I believe) and was pointing out all the endometriosis and adhesions. He said that we could do another laperoscopy but I don't want to do that and having another surgery is just going to cause more adhesions so I think I should try a few treatment options frist and see if they work. I had a LUNA done and it helped with pain a lot but the nerves have grown back and that is part of why he wanted to do the lap again. I am going to take Provera to try and start my period and then go on an OC to try and keep it normal. He said though that the provera might not even work and that my period might not come back at all. He also told me that between this and the endometriosis my chances of getting pregnant are less then 10%. Its kind of been a depressing day. I thought that I was doing better by not having surgery done and just letting things be "normal" Anyways, I am going to try and see how this works, I go back in 5 weeks to get put on the pill, find out how I am doing and get my labs back. He did a pelvic exam and is still worried about the pain that I am still having. Anyhow, I hope this works out.

Well, guess thats all for now. Thanks ladies.

it seems that there have been quite a few posts lately looking for OB/GYN recommendations. I think it'd be convenient to have a cummulative post with any of our recommendations, for people to look at for future reference. I'd be willing to collect everything and post it, and maybe then it could be archived? it could be organized by city, state, country, whatever. I don't know what the response will be, but we could have a few good doctors listed at least. So, if you're interested and have a really great OB/GYN (or favorite clinic etc), you could either comment here or email me at rachel.nicole at gmail.com, and include at least the name and location :)

hey everyone, I just switched birth control pills, I'm waiting for my period to come, so I haven't gotten to try my new pills yet. I was wondering if any of you have heard of desogen. That is the new pill Iam going to take. Does it cause weight gain or acne/oily skin? Have any of you had bad experiences with it? good experiences? let me know!
thank you!

I think I have a yeast infection, not sure becouse I've never had one before. Its probably the very beginings of one. Anyway, how do I use the garlic clove? I know I peel the outer husk-like skin, but what about the inner skin? And how do I secure it so it doesn't get lost inside me? I don't have gauze, so could I use string? Also how long per a clove per a day and for how many days?

If I'm on OTC-Lo, and I take it properly, but have sex w/o a backup method during my fertile period, and I have been having diarrhea sporadically - should I be worried about pregnancy?

This did not occur to me until after the fact, unfortunately.

I apologize if this is off-topic; feel free to delete it. I am just concerned about this, and everyone here is so knowledgeable.

Okay, I've read that precum does not have sperm, and I've read that it does, and I've read that precum ITSELF doesn't have sperm, but if the guy has recently ejaculated then there will still be sperm in the general area from the last ejaculation. And I haven't been able to get scientific information from any of those - they're all just "what I've heard." Google hasn't been much help either.

Anyone here have a more definative answer? And possibly with some research or scientific information to support it?

My period usually lasts 3 to 4 days. But last week I got my period and I bled very heavy one day and had the most horrible cramps. I took around 15 ibuprofen and I still could barely deal with them. Then the next day my period completely stopped but then it started again that night with horrible cramps again. Then it just completely stopped. I'm sure its nothing to worry about but has this happened to anyone before? or why?

I'm new...

Hey...I just joined b/c I've been having vagina issues since late April/early May. I got pneumonia in April and went on mega doses of antibiotics. Since then, I've had a yeast infection and constant, "external" irritation that won't go away. I've heard about the garlic thing, but I've been forbidden by my mother to try it. I really think my problem is more external. Mostly I having constant irritation/burning around the opening of the vagina. My ob/gyn can't really find anything wrong. My acid levels are perfect. There's yeast, but it's in the normal range. I've tried diflucan three times, monistat 3 twice, and terazol. I take salt baths, sleep without underwear on, dry really well after my showers, and use mild soap once a day. I can't understand why I've been having this problem for so many months. So, any help you can offer me would be great! The other factor is my medication. One of the side effects is dehydration. I drink plenty of water, but some days it feels like someone's dumped a salt packet in my mouth. I don't know if that has anything to do with anything, but whatever. If I could just get some sort of salve to coat the vulva...that could really make things better. Something other than vagisil!

I really don't want this for the rest of my life...
