Okay this may be way off topic or just silly but I thought I’d ask here anyways…
Do/Have any of you ever gotten to a point where you HATE sex? Me and my boyfriend have been dating for a little over 8 months, and I loved sex at first (he wasn’t my first or anything) but I’ve gotten in this weird mood lately where I hate even the though to of having sex with anyone. See I’m overly paranoid about pregnancy (I use BC & condoms), and a lot of the time I either get an infection or a UTI after we have sex more then twice a week, and it just seems like the worry and stuff isn’t worth it. It’s just odd b/c all of this was there at first but now it just seems like my thoughts on it have changed. I was just wondering if any of you ladies have done this, am I just having a mood swing or something? Thanks.

Who knows i just got off my Period, maybe it's just PMS?

hello :)

i have noticed, that shortly after sex with my husband, my face gets red blotches and very itchy. i realized today that this only happens when we've used a condom.

could this be an allergic reaction to the latex?

thank-you !

i think i might have a slight vaginal infection: it sort of burns and is itchy, and feels sticky.

my question is: would this prevent me from ovulating? i know that when you ovulate, you're supposed to produce clear discharge that's very wet. it's been 7 days after the end of my period (i'm a normal 28-day cycle) and i haven't gotten that discharge. i was having a little bit of it on tuesday, but that might have been due to... sexual activities (no sex, just fingering). but then it stopped after tuesday, and i still haven't gotten any.

the burning feeling was there already on monday/tuesday, so i don't know... i'm afraid i might be pregnant, which would be horribly bad - can anyone give me some advice? there's probably a lot of unconscious stress about college decisions right now (i'm a hs senior), even though i don't really FEEL stressed out... can anyone give me some advice?

Last night I had sex for the first time. I was formerly 100% sure that my hymen was broken from being fingered, horseback riding, life, et cetera, but when he got in there past the head, it was like there was a wall. It hurt extremely when he pushed up against it. We waited a minute or so (at my behest, he was all for trying to ram through and insisted that it was my hymen), and then went on, and everything was fine.

Was this really my hymen, or just tensed muscles from me being kind of nervous? I was under the impression that hymens were closer to the opening.

hey everyone. i have a question. my boyfriend and i are a little worried i might be pregnant. please no judgement on this. we had sex last night and not even 10 hours has passes, but i just woke up with bad lower left pain and a little bit of feeling like i was going to puke and a slight fever. but we kind of dismissed the idea only because my familys been sick and i had surgey over the summer to remove my colon so i sometimes wake up with stomach pains. we're just worried and i dont know if my body could handle the morning adter pill. but is this normal...not even 10 hours have passed..could i be pregnant?

Recommendations for gyns in Virginia? Preferably in the C-ville area? Much as I love my PP, if I'm getting on insurance I ought to use it for something!

...but please, please, please don't delete this or disregard this as another "Um omg shud i liek totally doosh bcuz I'm haveing that not so fresh feeling? is it leik, bad?" No. This is not one of those. For the past few years or so where I've had a yeast infection at least once every two months I've gone to my doctor for help (to more than one, mind you). And I've been constantly dismissed even though everytime I've gone with complaints it has been positively confirmed that I indeed have a yeast infection and diflucan has been prescribed. Now you think this individual with all of his certificates on his wall from numerous ivy league institutions would catch on to this...trend. But no. He has refused to perhaps delve into this problem to see what the problem could possibly be, perhaps suggest something. Nothing.

I've tried acidophilus and it didn't work. I'm not diabetic. And in the list of natural remedies there have been suggestions to make a "douche" out of tea or a "douche" out of boric acid and water or a "douche" out of apple cider vinegar and water. Now *sigh* I'm asking: should I attempt one of these methods even though they are listed as one of those horrible horrible douches. I'm honestly a little tired of everyone going "Nah man douching is evil! Down with the man etc! They want you to think that your vagina is unclean but it's all part of the natural process! Down with the man! I love my vagina and all of it's natural processes! Down with the man!"

Fantastic. Great. Honestly I'm proud of you and your self-cleaning vagina but my vagina...is evil. Seriously. There is no fantastical self-cleaning mechanism because obviously if there were I wouldn't be going through this EVERY, SINGLE, MONTH. Yup. Every single month. No down with the man coming out of this fuckhole, just pure unadulterated evil. In fact I hear it chanting in latin and planning my demise in the middle of the night.

So, in short, in this extreme case of a lack of a self-cleaning mechanism (down with the man!) should I douche? And I swear to god if someone throws their perfect self-cleaning vagina(tm) love into a post and offers it as advice I'm just going to sew my vagina closed and forget about it. I'll do it! I swear! And I'll send pictures!

In certain positions, my boyfriend says he's sure he's "banging into" my cervix pretty hard. He said he just feels like he's stopped from going any deeper. And also like it's kind of tickly, which is amusing, but probably irrelevent. Thing is, I can't feel this at all. Is this a problem? Should I be worried that a) I can't feel it and b) My cervix is apparently taking a serious beating every other day?

So I wrote the other night about taking antibiotics while on the pill. I didn't get my period on Friday, when I was supposed to and tomorrow I am supposed to start a new pack of pills, and I have yet to start my period for this month. I did some reading up on it, and a few places say that it is not that rare to miss a period while on the pill, since you aren't actually releasing an egg (right?)

So as some can imagine, i am a little nervous about this. But when does ovulation occur on th pill? because i started to take my antibiotics during my third week of the pack, and then I had sex at the start of my 4th.

BasicallY, I am contributing my late/missed period to the stress of being sick..

Ahh, anyone?

so my friend and I were talking...and she insists that when you have sex without a condom(where the guy cums inside you) *provided that you have some other sort of birth control* that you're supposed to douche it out afterwards..is this true? I've never heard anything like that..I always assumed that it just kind of got rid of itself. So whats the deal? To douche or not to douche?

Hello, VP-ers! Just a few random questions, hopefully someone'll be able to help me!

  1. Problem 1: My vulva [the folds between my vag and my thighs] sweats! Not terribly or constantly, it just gets quite annoying and a bit smelly, at least to me. I shave, so it's not like hair is holding anything in. I don't really work our or exercise, so it's not like sweating when you're doing physical things ... just when I take my underwear off at the end of the day, it's just ... sweaty. Any reasons/causes anyone can think of, and is there any way to prevent this?
  2. Problem 2: I have started getting weird "bumps" in between my breasts and on my upper back. They're not like acne, they're just odd white bumps that don't go away. What is this? How can I prevent it?
  3. Problem 3: My nipples are ... lumpy! Seriously, when I get cold or whatnot, my normally-smooth nipples get all bumpy/lumpy. They don't hurt or anything, it's just embarassing. Anyone else have this problem?
I think that's it. Sorry if I'm too vague, ask if you need anything clarified. Thanks so much for your help!

This is a bit embarrassing for me, but I really want to understand this and fix the problem (if it's a problem at all).

My vagina is dry. Seems simple, right? Well I've had a boy finger me and it took him a while to find the hole because he had to play around with it because it wasn't easy to slide around because I wasn't wet. Now, could this be a matter of how I wasn't turned on or something?

and then today I went to masturbate and my vagina was just really dry. and it was difficult for me to masturbate. I don't know how people get wet because I can't do it. Is this something to be worried about? Is there something wrong?

i think i already know the answer to this but i need a little advice. i am taking a month off the pill so we're using condoms and of course last night it broke. we didn't realize it until afterwards and it was too late. and of course today is sunday. i called my doctor's office and there's just a recording that has a number to call for medical emergencies. is that what i should do, call that number? or is there something else i should do at 4:30 p.m. on sunday? i am getting a little panicky about the whole situation and would love some advice. thanks!

edit: i called that number and talked to the doctor on call and she called in the ecp for me. it was no big deal and i feel much better. off to the pharmacy!

My boyfriend and I had just finished having sex and a few minutes later I was just laying in bed and started have very sharp pains down near my pubic bone about an inch behind the bone area. Since it's not anywhere near where his penis was, I wouldn't think anything is torn. It's just pain inside like the nerves. I tried to ignore the pain and we went to have sex agian and when he went in, there was a terribly sharp stabbing pain and I had to stop. I've never had this happen before and it's still painful. Not constant anymore but when I move I have sharp quick pains. Has anyone ever had this happen or maybe know what it could be?

I hope this isn't a stupid question, but my first gyn appointment is coming up on a day that may coincide with my period. Does it matter if I'm bleeding on the day of the appointment?
