My boyfriend and I had just finished having sex and a few minutes later I was just laying in bed and started have very sharp pains down near my pubic bone about an inch behind the bone area. Since it's not anywhere near where his penis was, I wouldn't think anything is torn. It's just pain inside like the nerves. I tried to ignore the pain and we went to have sex agian and when he went in, there was a terribly sharp stabbing pain and I had to stop. I've never had this happen before and it's still painful. Not constant anymore but when I move I have sharp quick pains. Has anyone ever had this happen or maybe know what it could be?

Something somewhat similar happened to me a few weeks ago, except the pain was a little bit higher up - around the area where I have menstrual cramps. It was very sharp pain that lasted for several hours after sex (although the actual intercourse didn't hurt!), and it happened twice in one week. I was very worried and went to get an ultrasound, which came out normal. We just had sex again for the first time since those incidents and I was fine - no pain at all! I chalked it up to just random stress or strange positioning.

Hope you feel better soon.

I had some pains similar to that when I used to get cysts on my ovaries. It could also just be gas moving around in your intestines---I know, I know---but you'd be surprised by how many people go to the ER and go home with a diagnosis of gas. ;)

Sounds to me like he nailed you in the ovary. It usually happens when your ovaries have moved from ovulating and they're considerably lower and closer to your pelvic bone. They kind of get angry if you try to play pool with them. Mine usually calm down after a couple hours (once after a really bad knock it took a couple days), but get checked if it makes you feel better. You can try to see if that's what's causing the pain by a manual exam though. Two fingers inside, then press down with your other hand, just inside your pelvic ridge. You should be able to find your ovary with a minimum of effort. If the ovary is around the same place as the ouch, that's probably your culprit, but it doesn't hurt to get checked.

Yeah, I've had that happen. Sharp pain, sick to my stomach, the whole work. I told my husband, now I think I know what it feels like when a man gets kicked in the nuts (and I guess it's kind of the same thing).
