ok, i'm asking for help for a family member again :)

my cousin is 25, and 5 weeks pregnant. she's been trying for this for MONTHS, so it's definately a good thing. her first daughter is almost 4 and it's 'bout time, hehe.

the dilema is that she's had some light spotting and was told that her progesterone levels are too low. she's been using a progesterone topical cream and that's DEFINATELY helped, taking her levels from 600 to 3600. i dont know what these numbers mean, but it must be good. however, not good ENOUGH aparently.

she had some serious bleeding issues after her last pregnancy (because the idiot doctor RIPPED out the placenta, after inducing birth probably too early so he could get to his vacation) and after 3 days of GOLF BALL SIZED clumps that she was told were normal, was finally given a D & C to stop it. she also had the evil E, epesiotomy. so, there's been some complications, but none that her midwife (currently, thank god no more hospitals...) said would inhibit being pregnant again.

anyone have any hints for KEEPING a pregnancy?

Well, I learned something new.

It is indeed possible to over-Kegel. *chuckle* Yeah, I know, I never thought it could happen either. But, after reading some about how to learn Kegels, I thought I might have been doing them a bit wrong, so I started starting and stopping my urine flow every time I went to the bathroom. Just to see if I could work a bit differently.

Keep in mind, I drink a lot of water, so my bathroom trips are frequent, and I continued to do them occasionally in between.

After three straight days of this I was outright sore.

*laughter* So, now you know, it can be done!

What fun. I highly recommend them.

I was wondering what the purpose of doing "kegels" is.

I got a brand-new pack of nice, fresh, white cotton panties.

And the first thing I do is spot all over them.

**CALLING ALL G-SPOT PROS** i have a dilemma, i've never really tried to find my g-spot and in light of the recent posts about it, i am ready to go on a search.. i wanted to buy some toys to help me get started, and would like your advice on what YOU would choose if you were in my position.. ive narrowed it down to two on the good vibrations website .. theres number one:
http://www.goodvibes.com/cgi-bin/sgin0102.exe?FNM=49&T1=1+2+AF+BE46&UID=2002092816424825&UREQA=5&UREQB=4&UREQC=3&TRAN85=N&GENP=

or there's number two:
http://www.goodvibes.com/cgi-bin/sgin0102.exe?FNM=50&T1=1+2+AJ+BE27&UID=2002092816424825&UREQA=5&UREQB=4&UREQC=3&TRAN85=N&GENP=

i just cant make up my mind!! and its frustrating.. i want to start exploring asap.. i don't know if vibrator intensity is a good thing or not.. or how long it should be.. in either case i'm going to get the educational book on g-spots, so i'm all covered there.. someone please help me!

so, finally (after trying it 3 times) i'm sucessfully using the keeper. the problem i have though, is that it's so messy when i empty it. i'll have bloody mucusy strings hanging from my vagina. is this normal? i really don't like it like this, but i still prefer it to sea sponges because it doesn't need to be emptied as often, is cheaper, and is less embarrassing to clean.

if anyone has any advice on making it less of a mess i'd appreciate it.

thanks in advance.

Hey fabulous Vag-Pag people! Please talk to me about diaphragms and cervical caps.

I went off the pill a few months ago in order to try to get pregnant with my husband. However, in typical Murphy's Law fashion, now would be the time that I ended up getting swept off my feet by a new partner and entering into a passionate, torrid, romantic new relationship. (The husband and I are in an open relationship, as is my new partner with his wife. All parties are aware of everything that's happening and it's all okay.)

The new partner and I have been using condoms and timing for birth control, but I'm not comfortable with the level of certainty that offers regarding paternity. So I have an appointment at Planned Parenthood on Monday to get fitted for an additional form of barrier contraception, ie. a diaphragm or cap.

So I'd like to hear your experience with a) this kind of appointment and b) using diaphragms and caps, the good and the bad.

Thanks all!

I was just wondering, if you're on the pill, are you meant to have varying types of cervical mucus, just not the egg white stuff?
