I was just wondering, if you're on the pill, are you meant to have varying types of cervical mucus, just not the egg white stuff?

Cervical mucus changes throughout your cycle, whether or not you are on the pill. Check out this page for more info:

ah ok :) i got confused because the pill sort of blocks out normal hormones doesn't it, so I wasn't sure if the whole stages of mucus thing happened. Would you still get the "fertile" and "Very fertile" bits though? I thought the pill changed the mucus so that it wasn't easy for the sperm to swim in it. So in theory it should never be eggy. (lovely images here)

Well, the pill doesn't block out hormones. It gives you extra hormones! Estrogen and progesterone, to name a couple. It seems that my mucus goes through all the stages every month, and I've been on the pill for years and years. I don't really know though, your logic makes sense. I'm going to see if I can look it up.

Im sure it doesn't mean I'm infertile or anything but it's definitely not as it used to be..

Are you sure that the egg white stuff you are seeing is cervical mucus? It isn't any other kind of discharge?

I'm NOT seeing egg white :p
I thought you were saying you saw all stages of it even though you're on the pill, and I was asking if that included the egg white stage..

I am so confused.

Yes I do see the egg white, just a couple of days before my period.
