You know how on the last few days of your period when you have a light flow, your vagina gets kind of itchy? How do you all take care of that? Corn powder? Baby powder to dry up wetness or whatever?

I'm thinking of starting to pat myself down with medicated Gold Bond powder, because it's getting REALLY irritating. Monistat cream, perhaps? I know that deals with the itchiness that can come from yeast infections and such. Just wondering what everyone else does.

anyone here have any experience w/the bc pill modicon?

i started on it about 2 months ago. the first month was fine, no funny side effects or anything that i noticed (other than the fact that my breasts are now almost a full cup size bigger, but i'm not complaining!)... the 2nd month, about halfway through i started spotting.. the first day was almost (but not quite) heavy enough to wear a "junior" or whatever lowest absorbency tampon. anyway, it's slacked off, but i still have to wear a pantiliner 24/7 to keep from staining my panties.. it's been this way for a full week now..

i'm not worried or anything like that, i'm just wondering if this is likely to stop anytime soon or if it's a problem with the dosage not being high enough or something? thanks :D

I'm spotting!!! I've never been so happy to have my period.
Last night I took 1250 mg of Vitamin C pills plus ate an orange.
this morning I drank half a cup of orange juice and a few hours ago had 250 mg pill of Vitamin C. Then I had a cold glass of water (cold gives me cramps) and I started to cramp and now I'm spotting...in about 2 hours my period will come down heavy and I will be dying of pains like always, but at least I got it!
I don't know if it was due to the Vitamin C or not, but yay!
This was my longest cycle ever...40 days...
Now tonight I'm starting on Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo!
This has been cross-posted in Birth Control, Menstrual Hut, and Vagina Pagina, as well as in my journal...I have to spread the joy!
Thanks to everyone for their suggestions to my earlier posts.

I started a yeast infection on Wednesday, so I took a Diflucan (which is latent through the bloodstream) and a dose os Monistat 1 for the immediate itching and to knock out some of the infection. Come Saturday, the itching is gone, but I still have the classic discharge.

The discharge started up again after being remiss for a day, but there's no itching. Is there any way that I'm still fighting the infection? Or does my body not realize that I did everything I could to get rid of the little yeasty bastards?

Should I be worried or should the discharge subside? Thank you all so much for being reliable and prompt. :)

Taken from a Friends posting. awful isn't it...Blah.. I am slightly pissy, but, it is a journal, and it is his opinion...
Question for you, how many ladies have been raped but never reported it??? cause of fear of disbelief? (Raising hand)

"Hmm... Found the e-mail address for the alleged victim of the Kobe "assult" (note the quotes)..

Kate Faber's e-mail addy is "removed.... "

I'm wondering how true it is.. and if that is her real name... According to the supposed friends who have blogs in different places... they say she was distraught cause her boyfriend dumped her.. and was taking drugs before going up to his room (after flirting half the night with him)... and didn't look worried when she left that night..

hmmm....

Personally, I think she is out for the money.. she saw a chance... and she took it..."

I have two questions that I hope you lovely ladies can answer for me. I apologize because these questions are about the two most asked about things: yeast infections and shaving. I hope that these questions haven't already been asked a million times.

1. Today I went out and bought a 3 day yeast infection treatment. I was wondering how well these work and how messy they are. I'd rather do the yogurt or the garlic, but we have neither at my house and it's just a pain to go get. But if the OTC treatment doesn't work, I plan to try yogurt before I call my doctor. So basically, any information on how well they work/stuff like that would be great.

2. I never had a problem with ingrown hairs or razor burn, but I bought Bikini Zone anyway just for the hell of it. I also bought the new Skintimate Bikini and Underarm shaving cream and a shaving minimizer. I was wondering if I put the Bikini Zone on before the shaving minimizer, the other way around, or if it really mattered at all. I also heard deodorant was great for shaving with....but do I use it as a shaving cream or put that on, then put the shaving cream on? That always confused me.

Sorry for all the questions and I hope some of you have some advice. Once I use the Skintimate Bikini and Underarm and the Bikini Zone, I'll let you all know how it went if you'd like. :)

aunt flo arrived today, just as scheduled, according to the ovulation calendars on both webmd.com & cyclespage.com. this is pretty good news, considering my fiancee and i do not use protection. though one question i have, has anyone else engaged in long-term unprotected sex and never ended up getting pregnant? any idea why that'd happen?

i also found out recently that i have cysts on my ovaries (i posted about it a while ago), so it's making this period even more painful. i'm nearly out of the vicodin i was given for the pain, and before calling to ask for another round of it.. does anyone else have any idea as to what i could to do tone the pain down? nothing i've tried works: asprin, tylenol, ibuprofen, aleve, motrin, midol, heat pads, ice packs, warm baths, massages, etc. any other ideas and/or tips? any vitamins or anything that might help it?

ANY & ALL comments are much appreciated. thanks.

I have been having cycles where my period comes every 26 days. This seems rather short to me. They use to be around 28-30.

I also notice that about a week before I start, my nipples get so sore that they literally ache when I put on my bra or they rub against clothing. Is this normal for them to be that darn sore?

I'm 32, and never have had children.
