I have been having cycles where my period comes every 26 days. This seems rather short to me. They use to be around 28-30.

I also notice that about a week before I start, my nipples get so sore that they literally ache when I put on my bra or they rub against clothing. Is this normal for them to be that darn sore?

I'm 32, and never have had children.

I've "reset" several times over the course of my menstrual life. I've gone a few years at every 30 days or so, then had a few months of irregularity followed by a few years at every 26 days or so, followed by another reset and new schedule. You might have undergone something like that. If it seems always to be every 26 days for awhile, that might be the new normal for you.

i think what you are experiencing is perfectly normal, so i wouldn't worry. my nipples get like that as well - hell, my breasts in general get like that before my period. it never happened until the past few cycles though, so it set me off at first and caused me to think all sorts of things. my periods are always good at changing lengths of cycles, so. i can't help you there. all i can tell you is periods aren't always regular, and it's not usually something to worry about. feel better.<3.

I didn't mean to sound so dumb. I have always known that nipples getting sore was common, but THIS sore is what worries me. Thanks for taking the time to answer :)
