Hey.

Brief history:
21, virgin (no PIV, oral, fingering, ect), not prone to UTIs or anything..

My vag itches SO MUCH. I'm pretty sure it's not a yeast infection 'cause there's no discharge (thin or otherwise, it's like it's always been) and no smell..

I think it's just little abraisions or something, trying to heal but not getting to? and they're itchy in the meantime.. like from my urethra back to my cooter and a little inside/around that area..

How can I relieve the itching until whatever it is heals? It's not unbearable but it's pretty annoying.

*waves hello to the people on her friends list who are also part of vagpag, who now know TMI about her vagina troubles*

Has anyone ever gone back on the same method of hormonal BC after a break of several months? I went off the ring after 7 months of use in November due to a serious drop in sex drive during the last half of that time frame, but I'm eager to get back on until I can afford Essure. Anyone have experience with using BC, quitting, then restarting the same method, and if so, what were the differences, if any, in side effects between the first period of usage and the next? (Please don't suggest I try different pills, IUDs, etc. as there are various reasons other hormonal/internal methods don't work for me.)

Also, about Essure: is there any organization that offers financial aid of sorts to people needing money for birth control/sterilization procedures? My insurance covers the doctor's fees, price of the equipment and device, and local anesthesia, but I'm really, really scared of it hurting like hell and want to opt for general, which would cost me quite a bit out-of-pocket. Or does anyone have encouragement for/stories about undergoing the procedure with local only?

I'm 26, a virgin, and have never had a cervical smear test. I live in the UK. My GP told me a few years ago that as I had not been sexually active I did not need one. Is this correct?

Thanks!

I'm on Ortho Evra (the Patch) and yesterday was my new Patch day. I recently went from sticking the Patch on my butt to giving it a try on my shoulder, but the term "buttstickers" still applies around the house, haha.

Anyway, a few hours later, I was feeling absolutely miserable. My stomach was queasy as hell, and it was like a huge fight to keep my dinner down. My boyfriend asked me if I was feeling alright, and I told him my stomach was just bothering me some.

"Oh," he said. "It always does that on your new Patch day."
I was taken aback. "Really? I never noticed!"
"Oh yes. Every new Patch day, your tummy bothers you really bad a few hours after you put it on."

I honestly had never noticed before. My best guess is that the hormones are stronger in a fresh patch than in an old one, and my body is adjusting. How bad does it suck that female hormones can make us queasy, seriously? Blah.

Anyway, there wasn't much of a huge point to this post, except kind of a general query. Do any of you other vagina-lovin' ladies who use the Patch notice any issues like this after putting a fresh one on?

I know that pregnancy can be hard to achieve right after you get off the pill (until all the hormones get out of your system), but could it harm a pregnancy a year later?

My theology teacher (who is pretty much anti-women-being-anything-but-baby-raisers) said that the hormones from the pill caused her to miscarry almost a year after getting off the pill. (If it's worth anything, this was 20-odd years ago.) She does have a tendency to *ahem* exaggerate, so I'm wondering if there's any truth in her at all.

I understand that the pill affects different women differently, but I'm skeptical of the possibility of this. Help?

Ever since I had gotten off of birth control pills, I noticed that I was always constantly wet. Whenever my boyfriend and I had sex, it was almost to the point where I was dripping wet. After a couple of months being off of it, I decided to go back on it. After taking the pill for almost three weeks now, I am extremely extremely dry and I hate it. Has this happened to anyone else? I hate using lube and it makes me sad knowing I am not going to be as wet as I normally was before the pill :/.

While it’s quite lovely and wonderful to not have to deal with a period, the fact that it’s completely disappeared is getting a bit worrisome.

As a bit of background info, I’m 22 years old. When I became sexually active, I began taking birth control pills (Triphasil 28). In June of last year, I stopped taking them. This was, in part, because it completely destroyed my otherwise healthy sex drive (or at least that’s what I attributed it to at the time). After stopping the birth control pills, I had two normal periods and then they just stopped. That means my last period was in July. Of last year.

I’ve made two trips to my doctor since then - once for a yearly check up (which included a pap smear) and once more to have a pelvic ultrasound (which was primarily to check for Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome). Nothing really out of the ordinary was found in either case. I’m just baffled.

Now I’ve been putting off making another trip back to the doctor, but at this point it seems apparent that something is indeed wrong. Unfortunately last time I went, I was just handed a prescription for another year’s worth of birth control... I haven’t bothered filling said prescription because it just seems to be treating the symptoms and ignoring a potentially larger problem. Not to mention the fact that my sex drive is as elusive as my period.

Anyhow, I don’t suppose you lovely ladies have any thoughts or ideas?

I had a D&C a week ago today. Ive looked through the memories and didnt find much there about what the average recovery time is and other side effects. Im still fairly sore after a week and have problems sitting in any one position for a length of time. Is this normal or does anyone have any advice for me?

I started birth control, about two weeks ago tomorrow.
I'm on Ortho Novum, and I was wondering if birth controll can have effects on making your breast grow?
Sorry if this is a stupid question.
But mine had gotten a bit smaller a month or so ago, but now they're back up to size/bigger.

Hi, all. New here, hope someone has some advice for me.

I've been a B-cup for years, until my bras started getting too tight around November of last year. I tried on a C, it felt more comfortable, things were fine.

Now everything is tight again. I think I need a D. Is it normal to go up two cup sizes in about six months' worth of time? I'm twenty-four years old, so I'm way past adolescence now. I know that different factors can play a role, and most of my female relatives are large-chested women, but is this too rapid?

I'm making an appointment to go to the gyno soon, as I haven't in a while and I need to, but I was just wondering if this has happened to anyone else.

Ok so I didn't know how to look this up in the memories really, so i decided to just post it.

I am on Yasmin. I was previously on OTC-Lo but that caused my periods to be two weeks long(while in the 3rd active week) along with many other side effects so my gyno switched me to Yasmin in October.
I love Yasmin & I do not want to switch. I have previously been able to "skip" my periods before, this month I tried, but it failed. I have been bleeding for 9 days now. Not like a period because its just light. I decided to cut this pack short so I could just have my period week. That means I took roughly 5 weeks worth of active pills. Now my question to you girls is...

--Since I stopped taking it, should I just start again this coming Sunday? Or pick up when I would normally start taking it again (my last pill I took was friday, so start up again on this coming saturday).
--Would I need to use a backup method for a month then? or just the week?

The main reason I just stopped taking it is because I have read in here taht you can take more than your 21 days of active pills but no less. If what I did was stupid, please tell me [[just dont be so bluntly ;) ]]

I talked to the midwife who treated my at the Gyno office today (breast lump, but it wasn't anything irregular, I'm just a 16 year old who desn't know what an "abnormal lump" feels like), and she said she'd never heard of the parsley tea trick, but she DID say that if I just put another patch on (it's my patch-free week)that I should be okay and not get my period this week. I just wanted to thank you all for your help and advice, and I'll let you know how Monday goes with my guy! (We have the house to ourselves, and we originally thought that I would be bleedin'. Thank goodness for that midwife, eh?)

First of all, I would like to say how great I think it is that this community exists. The sheer number of entries goes to show how every one has questions about the female reproductive organs, and no other good forum to ask them in.

Now to my questions... I've searched entries, but didn't find exactly the same situation as mine. If I overlooked an entry, please tell me!

Long description of pain during intercourse, rawness, vulvodynia and gynecologist questions, yeah, lots of stuff and lots of fun! )

Today was spent in the company of my guy. It was his birthday, so we had lots of birthday "relations". During said relations, I got dizzy. Many many MANY times. Unfortunately, I'm no stranger to getting dizzy. I got dizzy a lot a few months ago, and I always get dizzy before I'm about to pass out. I haven't gotten dizzy for the rest of the day, and it seemed to only effect me while I was having sex, or about to. Could there be a link?

To clarify, the type of dizziness I'm talking about is that room spinning type where you can't keep your center of gravity. I usually always fall when I get one of these dizzy spells, if someone doesn't catch me or I don't grab on to something and go limp.

EDIT: Sorry, I didn't add a subject!
