Birth control pills and Extreme Dryness....

Ever since I had gotten off of birth control pills, I noticed that I was always constantly wet. Whenever my boyfriend and I had sex, it was almost to the point where I was dripping wet. After a couple of months being off of it, I decided to go back on it. After taking the pill for almost three weeks now, I am extremely extremely dry and I hate it. Has this happened to anyone else? I hate using lube and it makes me sad knowing I am not going to be as wet as I normally was before the pill :/.

I don't know.... I think it varies from person to person. I used to be dry as a bone on birth control, which is why I recently got myself an IUD. :D You might want to try switching to a different HBC, because often each one will react differently. You might get different side effects, but you also might be able to be wet again. That's really the best advice I can give. Good luck!

When I was on the pill I experienced vaginal dryness as well. The only thing I really did to "remedy" the situation was to use a lot of lube. I've tried a number of forms of hbc and always experienced the same dryness. Now that I'm off hbc I have no issues with dryness at all.

Oh no! I didn't mean to imply no hope for you :( I was just relating my personal experience. You never know, if you switch to another pill/ring/patch maybe you would have different results.

Hang in there. In the mean time, lube is your friend :)

I've been on ortho-trycylen before and I loved it for my periods and skin... I honestly don't want to switch to another kind :/.

I suppose it's going to have to be my friend.

I'd rather have to use lube than have hosed panties all the time like I do now.

I'm constantly wet, it's annoying. If I don't wear a pantyliner, I blow through underwear in an hour. Ugh. Trust me, you're better off needing lube than needing a dozen panties a day. ;___;

Last summer when I went on Ortho Tri-Cyclen at first I experienced the same dryness and I was like Hallelujah. But a few months after I had adjusted to the pill it all came flooding back and it hasn't stopped since.

I was on Ortho for about two years and in those two years, I didn't have a steady boyfriend and didn't have much sex so the same thing could have happened to me without realizing it.
