hello! i read that stopping birth control pills can trigger hair loss. has anyone experienced this? is it only temporary? does going back on the pills reverse it?

It has been brought to our attention in a recent post that members feel a safe space was violated.
From our info page:
"What is safe space?
Simply put, “safe space is one in which each person feels completely and unconditionally accepted and free, though not obligated, to speak her/his truth; I think the first step in engaging in honest discussion is feeling safe”.
This has not been the case due to some frustration on certain topics and issues. Let me make a reminder to EVERYONE that we here at VP take Safe Space very seriously. I know certain topics can get heated at times, but name calling is ridiculous and will not be tolerated.
If you or another member feel your safe space has been abused, please email one of the admins and we will review the situation.

More importantly, BE NICE TO EACH OTHER, we all have the same goal here, to educate women, and LEARN.

Dec. 2nd, 2002 11:27 amsooo this morning i scheduled my first gyno appt. i ended up scheduling an appt with an RN NP because she was one of two females who werent booked up into the middle of next year. all the MDs were male and to me going to a male gyno is like asking a cook to teach you to farm. anyway... are RN NPs just as qualified to care for my bits as an MD is?
also... does anyone know if skin so soft is safe for bits? i use it in my bath to shave and just wanted to make sure im not disturbing anything.
thanks in advance!

Dec. 2nd, 2002 11:29 amhi! does anyone know about how many eggs we start off with? if you're on bcp and don't ovulate, what happens to the eggs? they just don't mature? also, if your father was a fraternal twin, does this increase your odds of having fraternal twins (releasing more than one egg per month), or is it only something inherited from your mother's side?
how big is an egg? could you see it w/o a microscope? i think it's very fascinating to think that they're all already in me!

A question
Dec. 2nd, 2002 12:46 pmOkay ladies I need your help. Recently I allowed a close friend of mine who works at a beauty salon to wax me. This was about two months ago and I really enjoyed the after look. Now I don't see her often enough to permit it to be kept up, so I am interested in picking up one of the home waxing kits to keep me smooth. Does anyone have any suggestions? Tales of triumphs or frustrations? Thanks gals.
I'm in a vagina loving mood today. It seems in this community moles and freckles near, around and on our vulvas are pretty common, and I think that is just SUPER!
I am feeling so good I might look at some new underwear to buy :D

Dec. 2nd, 2002 02:39 pmIt says it can clean, er, hard to reach spots.
Yeah, that's why I want a shower massager . . . depending on how you define "clean". :)

Dec. 2nd, 2002 05:54 pmCan I just say that I am loving learning all this stuff about female bits. I used to be ashamed of my body and my periods, and I made my mum swear not to tell my dad when I'd started - it was hard enough to tell her. And yet now, I feel all empowered and proud and actually LIKE my periods. Hooray!
I remember when I moved into a shared house in 1999, living with 3 men and 1 girl. I had bought tampons with my grocery shopping and left them in the kitchen. I didn't see that this was a problem but one of my male flatmates seemed shocked and said "aren't you embarrassed"? I wish I'd said something to him now. Silly boy :p That's like, being embarrassed to let anyone see that you'd bought tissues to blow your nose with. Gah.
So there you go :)
