does anybody have any idea when Nuvaring and/or Ortho Evra are going to be available in Canada (more specifically, Ontario)? or if they are, at least more widely available? i've asked four of my doctors already and they know nothing about them.

and i really want to try one of them... :|

I have no idea. I am also in Ontario. I talked to my doctor on Friday, and he didn't know whatthey were. I had to explain it to them. I think the best bet would be emailing the companies or something.

I'm on Ortho Evra, and I love it. So much more convinient than other BCs. The only thing is, it gets a little fuzzy along the edges as the week goes on. When I switched from OrthoTriCyclen to Evra, I had a moody few first two weeks. It was weird, but now passed.

I read on Planned Parenthood Canada's website that Ortha Evra (the patch) was recently approved in Canada, and should be available early next year.

No. it was great for me. I didn't have any problems. The pill is hard on me because I am prone to headaches, and estrogen aggravates that. So, I didn't get headaches on depo, which was awesome. I lost weight. My sex drive was normal, etc. I know people have had bad experiences with it, but I love it. I only went off it because I wanted to be off hormonal contraception for a while.
