Hi,

I've been getting brazilian wax since September last year. Prior to that, I used to shave a part of that down there area (around 2 inches of the top only).

I have ingrowth hair and I don't know how to get rid of them, and it's REALLY getting on my nerves. The ingrowth are ONLY in the area where I used to shave, there are NONE anywhere else. I've had 2 different estheticians and neither of them know why it's so bad. I bought a product from the salon I go to that's supposed to help reduce if not eliminate ingrowths and it doesn't work. I use a loofah in the shower, I use sensitive skin soap and and I use a dove mosturizing cream. And no, the water in the shower isn't too hot, I'm very careful about that. I shave my legs and sometimes get an ingrowth hair here and there on the inside of my thighs, but nothing as bad as this. It's irritating, super itchy, looks gross and I don't know what to do to fix it.

Anyone has any suggestions?

Has anyone ever experienced a sort of... Burning sensation in their uterus area because of an ovarian cyst?

In January I started experiencing the symptoms of an ovarian cyst in myright side. I had an ultrasound done, and was diagnosed wih one. The dr said it was the kind that has both solid and liquid components to it but didn't name it specifically. The symptoms (pressure on my right side) lasted about 3 months and then went away, but in the past week have come back. Today the pressure feeling is gone but i now feel a burning sensation in where I assume my uterus is.

I'm scared because I read online that cysts with partially solid parts can be cancerous, and the burning sensation can be a symptom of ovarian cancer. I know it's not from a UTI because I'm currently almost done taking antibiotics for one. The doctor wouldn't have taken a "watch and wait" 'approach if she had any inkling this could be cancer, right? I go back for a follow up in a few weeks, but I'm really freaked right now. I'm also only 26 and I know it's extremely uncommon in younger women, but that doesn't quell my fears.

Thanks in advance!

Does anyone know of any interactions between ayahuasca/DMT and hormonal birth control? From what few information there is out there on the subject it seems to be fine, but I can't find anything definite about it.

Thank you. :)

Is it ever normal for your vagina to have a weird smell and be itchy/sore for a week or so while having nothing technically wrong? I was totally sure I had a yeast infection or BV last week so I went to get it swabbed and the results came back clear. In the 3 days it took the nurse to call me with the results, it seemed to clear up on its own. I had had a little bit of tacky white discharge which made me think YI but apparently not. I had the same issues before Christmas, and I've had these issues many times without going to the doctor so I don't know if I did have anything or not because it seems to go away on its own. I would be worried about herpes, but the nurse didn't seem to think it was that, and also I've been having these symptoms for years, since long before I was sexually active. I remember being really self conscious as a teenager about this weird smell I'd get sometimes, or slightly swollen labia, or discharge, but the few times I plucked up the courage to see the doc, the results were clear. Is this normal?

I've been on the pill (Loestrin) for three years. Several months ago I stopped using it for about 3 months because I simply couldn't afford it. Last month was my first full month back on the pill. My first period was surprisingly light, but not abnormally so for being on the pill. I've been on my next pack now for about two weeks. On Thursday afternoon I started spotting (I presume) out of the blue. I thought this was probably normal since I just got back on the pill and I experienced spotting in the earlier months when I first started using it. But I'm still "spotting"- sometimes in bursts and more heavily than I would normally consider spotting. It's like a second, light period. Enough that I've had to wear a light pad or tampon the past few days. Also, I think it's getting heavier.

It's been five days.

So I guess my question is, is this normal? Does my guess make sense or does this sound like more than the usual spotting one might get from (re-)starting the pill? My mom wondered if I could be pregnant. I think this is unlikely since we waited the whole month and I believe into the second month before we had sex without a condom, but I suppose anything's possible. Therefore I also have to ask- how long does implantation bleeding generally last?

I should probably mention that I recently started a new job involving physical labor and being on my feet all day, and I am borderline underweight. Not sure if these things are relevant, but hey.

I will, of course, buy a pregnancy test when I get the chance, but I wanted some input first. Thanks, guys!

I've noticed that some people have posted that they have gotten a 3 day course of antibiotics for UTIs, so I did some research and some studies say that longer than a 3 day course isn't really necessary.

However, since I became sexually active, I'd had about 10 or so UTIs (in the last 2 years). I was ALWAYS prescribed a 7 or 10 day course. This has been different doctors and different types of antibiotics. I've been on Macrobid, Cipro, Bactrim, Keflex, Augmentin...pretty much everything, and I've always gotten a week or more course. And this has been from very mild UTIs (one or two I didn't even have symptoms yet, but I was tested because I was already at the doctors and I'd been having a string of them) to very, very bad UTIs (the worst I was peeing pure, opague red blood).

So my question is: Has anyone been prescribed only a 3 day course of antibiotics for a UTI? If so, what kind of antibiotic was it? I wonder if it is only certain ones.

Thanks so much for any help!!

I always take my birth control at 9pm. Several days ago I completely forgot to take it and took it at 9pm the next night as usual. It took until the next night for me to realize that I had skipped an entire day, but I took the extra pill and I've been continuing to take it at 9 every night since then. I checked my birth control pamphlet but couldn't find anything specific about going 24 hours between pills. Do I need to worry?
