silica gel pack plus feminine products?

so... in the pocket of my purse, there was a bunch of tampons, condoms, and pads... and one of those little packs that say "SILICA: do not eat" on them. well. it ripped and the stuff inside got all in the pocket with the tampons, condoms, and pads... they were wrapped, but we all know that tampons and pads aren't wrapped very thoroughly. is it still safe to use them now that this silica stuff spilled out in there with them?

weird question, i know.

Hi gang,

Me and my daughter of 7 years are living out here in India. I have had a cyst on my vulva since I was preggers with my daughter here 7.5 years ago. I'm 33 this year

This cyst started when I was 24 and stupidly put some perfume on my vulva after my (Now X) husband complained that I stunk... He was an ass.

So this cyst went from "I didn't have it" to softball sized overnight- literally.

Went to the doctor who was trained in America. She said, Bartholian cyst. No operation or meds, I was preggers. Had extreme pain for weeks. Took Tibetan medicine. Helped the swelling go down but not away.

Fast forward seven years- over which, no health care plans, single mom hood, and just plain busy. Finally after a really nutty few weeks, the damn cyst decides that it's time to do something spectacular! I run a fever, get hives and oh my god it hurts to walk.

Thank god there is an Austrian homeopath here. I ring her to see if she can help me. I get a Texas Doctor. He calls me in. He slices the cyst open. Two cups of pus. He says staph infection.And Sepsis beginning, thus the hives. He gives me antibiotics (cloxicillan and Amoxicillan with lacto bacillus) and the Austrian Homeopath gives me Silicea plus more of the gram 1 homeopathic pills.

What do you guys think? I don't have a regular doctor except for these two. I trust em! But my god, seven year staph infection?! It kinda makes sense but kinda doesn't.... Over the past year I have been getting sicker and sicker. Low blood pressure, no fainting. Dizzy and low grade fever on and off. Cold symtoms but no cold. No parasites. No nothing- I get regularily tested for all STDS and HIV. Had full blood work. I attributed it to stress and being a mom with a kid who doesn't sleep well. Our diet, by the way, is great. Indian food, veg, low fat and since we don't have a car, LOADS of exercise. We live in the mountains. Not so much pollution. I have gotten sick a lot this year. Mostly intestinal and food poisoning. But unexplainable tiredness and just needing to sleep and sleep. Sometimes 12 hours a day, with a nap, and not hungry much.

On a happy note, I am getting better and better. I am itchy which means I am healing- no fever, and the tissue looks healthy. Both Doctors agree that it's healing. I haven't had this much energy for a long long time. But, I am still getting hives, but these are diminishing also. The Texas Doctor said that it's because sepsis had started. He told me to stay on the antibiotics for 10 days. I will, cross my heart.... but an encapsulated staph infection? That is my question- IS IT POSSIBLE? Sounds weird, but what do I know!

I did get some pus out of the cyst before...6 months before, by lancing it with a needle. Can you ask your Friends?

Spotting while on the pill, 7 years into taking it?

I've been taking the pill for about 7 years now. I've never had any problems with it. Even when I first started taking it I experienced no side effects, including inbetween period spotting.

My period is has always been like clockwork since starting the pill. I usually get it 2 or 3 days after taking the last pill in my pack.

This month however, I got my period last Wednesday with still 4 pills left in the pack! It wasn't just spotting, I basically got my period early (It's still going today)

Should I be concerned? Is my protection compromised? What would cause this all the sudden when I have been taking the same pill for 7 years without incident?

This might seem very silly, but i have a question about an acne cream i've been prescribed and my birth control

I'm on Alesse right now. I've recently started using a topical acne cream called Benzaclin - one of the active ingredients is Clindamycin (there are 10mg in 50g of cream... it says 1% beside the ingredient). I know that using oral antibiotics while taking birth control pills can decrease the effectiveness and that kind of concerns me. Is the same true for topical antibiotics in such small doses? The jar lasts about 2-3 months and i use it twice a day on my face. Apparently this medication can be absorbed into the bloodstream, so that's why I'm a little nervous.

Am I correct in thinking that the incredibly small dose means that the effectiveness isn't compromised? i have no problem using condoms while i'm using this cream (and for the time being my SO and I do use condoms as well), but if a slip up were to occur I'd like to know how to react or if to worry.

Smegma Removal?

So...I noticed a few days ago that I was having some weird clitoral pain/pressure sensations. I have vulvar vestibulitis, so I was worried that I might be developing vulvodynia as well. However, this afternoon I sat in front of the mirror, pulled back my clitoral hood a bit, and saw two small white chunks of stuff, I'm assuming smegma, stuck on my clitoris way back where the clitoris and hood meet. I tried to pick it away and sprayed water from a squirt bottle at it, but the damn stuff isn't moving. I'm guessing that this is the cause of my pain, since it's all on the left side and it's the left side of my clit that seems to hurt.

How on earth do I get rid of this stuff? Do I have to see a gyn and have them remove it? Or will it just clean itself up on its own if I leave it? Or is there some method for removal that won't be excruciating?

Help!

I don't know how to start this. I had my first period at 10 years old and since then I've never really had a period schedule. For about the first 1 year or so it was once and month for 5-6 days. At about 12 or 13, I just stopped having periods. It would come occasionally every 3-6 months. It should have been something that was a warning sign, but I always put it on the back burner. At 13, I started to get cystic bumps near my groin and my thigh. (If it makes any difference I haven't had any sexual intercourse) My doctor always told me to exercise, that both my missed periods and cystic bumps were because I overweight. I haven't seen my doctor in about 2 years now, both because I don't have insurance and I wasn't a big fan of "lose weight and get back to me." In the last 2 years I've probably had my period about 4 times and now have painful bumps under my arms (which i'm guessing is Hidradenitis Suppurativa). I'm 19 now and I really just want to be healthy. I just don't know what to do. I'm in the process now of getting insurance, but I still haven't gotten over my fear of doctors. I know no one is here is a doctor, but I'm just looking for some help.
