As always, I need a mind-ease!

BF and I had sex in the hot tub tonight - totally unexpectedly. He did not ejaculate in me, he pulled out before.

"If ejaculation takes place in hot water (like a hot tub or Jacuzzi), or water filled with pool chemicals, bubbles, chlorine, or other substances, sperm would not be able to survive for more than a few seconds. Also, the water in a pool is too cold for sperm to live." (http://contraception.about.com/od/contraceptionmyths/p/watersexmyths.htm).

I have PCOS and I'm on BC pill as well.

Chances of pregnancy is slim, correct?

(I just need a simple "you're not pregnant" and I'll be fine!)

I recently had a colposcopy done after a pap smear. It was my first colposcopy. During the procedure, the gyno said things looked "pretty normal." However, she still chose to take a biopsy.

Frankly, I'm a bit confused. Isn't a biopsy only taken when abnormal cells are found during the colposcopy? I was a bit nervous afterwards and also, a bit rushed, so I didn't really get to think this stuff over. I'll find out the results in about a week, I know, but I was hoping I could get some feedback now since I'm so nervous. Thanks.

Just found a glob of egg-white like discharge and came here to figure out what it is. Cervical fluid seems to be the answer, indicating that I'm ovulating. But if I'm on the pill, how is this possible? Should I be concerned that it's not working? I can't remember ever seeing discharge like this before and I'm panicking a little since the pill is the only form of birth control that I use. Any help would be much appreciated!

I can't find my Cipro bottle anywhere. I had a mild UTI and was prescribed six pills, a three day course. I had taken three. Also that stuff that numbs your urethra and makes your pee orange.

My symptoms are pretty much gone. It's Sunday, so there's no way for me to get to the doctor. I've stopped taking the orangemaking stuff so as not to mask symptoms, and am taking lotsof Cranberry capsules and drinking water. Am I going to be ok!? I can call the doc and ask him to phone in a new script on Monday morning, should I ask for a longer course now since I'll have let the buggies breed by discontinuing one lot of antibiotics?

Hello everyone!

I was just on cosmopolitan.co.uk, reading the article "20 Things you never knew about orgasms" and it says "The older you get, the shorter your orgasm will be".

Is this true? Because that would definitely suck. I'm 19 and am just starting to experience some of my best (and longest) orgasms ever and would like for them to stick around if at all possible.

Thanks, VP-ers!

Well this week will be the end of my first cycle of nuvaring.

Pros - don't feel it at ALL! I was so worried that I would feel but i totally forgot i even had it in!
I'm happy to switch from Ortho Evra patch too because it has a lot less estrogen, which will help me feel better since my grandma had breast cancer and i didn't want to increase my risks.

Bad - Vaginal irritation. It's off and on but the worst is when my vagina is irriated when urinating! Makes me worry that i have a UTI but i highly doubt it, especially since it's not every day. I read that nuvaring cause cause irritation during peeing.
Also i have more discharge and its...yellow! Again it didnt smell funny and this change happened after the nuvaring was in me for a few days so i doubt its an infection.

In your experiences, do these changes stop, become less frequent, how long did it take etc.

Thanks for any advice on nuvaring!

Hi,

I'm not really sure I am informed enough about either, nor really looking to self-diagnose, but the past week (prior to my period) I've been feeling completely hopeless. If I were to pursue hormonal birthcontrol, which I am not using at the moment, could that help? How does one go about pursuing a proper diagnosis?

Thanks

I've had my Paragard for 4 months, and have been tracking my cycles (average period has lasted 5 days with 27 day cycle).  Four weeks ago, I went back on HBC (Seasonique, which I have taken in the past) and I started the Sunday after my period (I still have my Paragard inserted).  My period started 2 weeks in, and I have now had it for 15 days straight.  It's not heavy anymore, but definitely more than spotting and is bright red.  I don't have any cramping.  My period is technically due this week.  I've checked my strings, and everything looks fine.
I'm kind of at my wit's end - I'm tired of dealing with bleeding everyday.  I plan to see my doctor this week, but just wanted to know if this was normal for going back on the pill at all? Is it just the hormones?  I've never had an overly long period before but it just feels like it's never going to stop.
