Alright, sorry for asking so many questions.

I've just recently become sexually active. Me and my boyfriend have only had sex once - it was oral. (He's FTM so we're not going to be doing PIV stuff, obviously, unless toys count). My boyfriend has had other partners before, but I haven't. I'm just wondering how necessary it is to use a dental dam when he goes down on me? Seeing as I don't have anything, obviously?

I kind of dislike dams for two reasons. For one thing, they seem like they would kind of kill the sensation. (I didn't use one last time). Also, I have a latex sensitivity, and am at very high risk of developing a full-blown allergy (due to the pre-existing sensitivity, as well as a surgery I had when I was younger, and having a cousin who is very allergic to latex). So, no latex for me. The non-latex dams are very hard to find, and expensive (3 dollars apiece). I did buy one a while back, but didn't end up using it last time. Yes, yes, I know.

So, should we really use a dam next time? Or is it fairly safe to skip it?

Also, any kind of safer sex tips for folks with latex allergies would be spiffy.

I've got two questions. First: My last period was about two weeks late, but I did end up getting it on day 42 of my cycle. This time around, I am on day 45 of my cycle, and I still have not seen the likes of my period. My cycle has always been about 30-32 days long. My boyfriend wants me to go see a doctor, but there haven't been any other symptoms of anything -- my va-jay-jay is feeling fine. Should I be worried or should I just let my body go with its flow?

Ok, well this doesn't really seem to be a huge deal. But I've noticed after I masturbate, the fluid on my fingers seems to be instantly dry and when I rub it off of my fingers it flakes off.

This is only when I haven't taken a shower. If I masturbate directly after a shower it doesn't flake like this.

Is this normal? If it isn't what is it? Should I be worried about this?

Thanks =x

Whenever I masterbate or fantasize about sex, sometimes I imagine that I am the guy and I'm receiving oral from a woman. Is this normal? Even when I watch porn occassionally, the scenes where the guy is receiving fellatio looks more visually appealing and gratifying. It looks like it feels really good for the guy and I picture myself being him..

sometimes I'll switch back and forth to me being the guy, and then the girl..

This is a really stupid, basic question, but I couldn't find what I was looking for in the memories -- exactly how does a douche work?

Back story: I got a yeast infection about a week and a half ago, nothing out of the ordinary. Had itching, discharge, etc. I treated it with a one-day treatment like I've done in the past. Itching went away. Discharge stayed and it got this fishy smell. I started my period right afterwards, though, so I decided to wait and see if that cleared it up. Alas ... no. Discharge is still here, and so is the smell. Great.

I'm going to make an appointment with Planned Parenthood on Monday, but they're kind of slow around here (even with infections) so I know it could well be several days or a week before that happens and in the meantime, I want to try a boric acid douche (can't find gel capsules anywhere to make capsules), because it's just GROSS. (Reading this community has made me think boric acid is a better bet than vinegar but feel free to correct me.)

But, I've never douched before, and I don't really know how it works. How often do I do it? Is the mixture supposed to stay in there somehow? And exactly how do I get it up there? Some sort of syringe?

Thanks!

I finally got on it after all the urging going on in this community!
(and as a side note my usual awesome doctor has a new partner who is ALSO awesome. he was very friendly and thought I was awesome for asking about nuva ring hahaha. and he knew I was nervous about paps and said unless I really want one he recommends to wait another year so hurrah)

ANYWAYS. I'm guessing it just floats around as it pleases? It NEVER stays up by my cervix, it's always in like.. my vaginal canal closer to the opening? My boyfriend has to push it back every time we have sex. I know it doesn't matter where it is to work, just wondering if anyone has a magic spell or something to make it stay out of the way and stop floating down during the day. I doubt it, but hey, doesn't hurt to ask.

We also had a bit of a miscommunication where I was off the pill for a couple weeks.. I had sex with my boyfriend on the 14th day (it was heat of the moment couch sex if anyone was wondering) and for whatever reason he figured I was still protected and didn't pull out. I'm not too worried, but I'm kind of on the fence between taking a week off from the ring while my boyfriend is in Havasu, or just taking a pregnancy test. I guess taking the week off wouldn't be an issue, and it would be cheaper, so I'll probably do that. But if I opt for pregnancy test, is the best time to take it 19 days after the sex in question? Since I won't be missing an expected period or anything. 19 days is just my rough calculation of possible factors involved. (Fertility, sperm life, hormone levels) Can anyone confirm this with better math than my laying-in-bed-at-night-nothing-else-to-think-about situation? haha

(I plan on stacking the ring for three months or so at a time, if anyone's wondering about the scheduled week off bit)

So, recap:
1. time to wait after sex for a pregnancy test to be certain?
2. hoodoo magic to keep my nuva ring higher up.

Thanks!!

I hope this question is allowed here, and if it's not I'm sorry and I'll delete it.

Is there any way I can get birth control pills without a prescription? I live in NYC, and I can't go to a doctor.

I've been taking Tri-Nessa for over a year, and the prescription has run out. I just can't go back to the doctor, and I need more. Or any birth control pill, in a pinch, but something like Tri Nessa or Ortho Tri Cyclen would be best, because I've been on those before and know how they work.

And yes, I *always* use condoms, but I don't want that to be my only contraceptive method. Until this is resolved, I'm definitely not having any sex.

I also have other medical reasons for needing to be on birth control pills, namely that I can't menstruate without being on them.

So anyway I can get what I need?

Toys

So I'm thinking that I've been single long enough, and it's about time I get myself a toy. The problem is that the little one is basically always with me, so I don't really want to go into a store- besides, I don't think there are any in this town!

So that leaves ordering online. But I'm a little freaked out about that. Can someone tell me what sites are "safe?" As in, they won't sell my info to 100 porn sites or put random charges on my credit cards or whatever. I'm not usually so paranoid about this, but I get enough random porn emails without putting my name on something that's actually related(ish)!
I looked at the site linked on here, but I just couldn't reassure myself that it's secure enough.

I seem to have found myself in a quasi relationship (where he's asked me out, but I'm not sure <_<). We've had sex in the past, and seem to be going back to that, but I need a reminder. He likes to preform oral sex (begs to do it, really), and he's aware I have herpes. If he were to get it (hsv-2) orally, would it be worse/better or more frequent/less frequent than hsv-1?

Hello, hello.

I come bearing Yeast Infection question(s). In the last ten days, I've been treated for a siunus infection with amoxocillian (sp?), three times a day. Both the pharmacist and doctor warned me about the overgrowth of yeast that would occur, etc etc. So I was prepared and watching for any signs of a dreaded YI, and the third day in it got pretty tender, red, swollen, outside skin burning when I peed, and all that jazz down there... labia and I guess what I'd call my 'taint', heh. I even had dry skin peeling off the 'taint' area. However, there was also bits of blood coming from the outside...? Is this because it was raw/cracked/dry? Anyone else bleed from the outter skin during a YI? Anywho... So I figured, yahoo, YI. I ate lots of yogourt and all that jazz, but did not use and otc treatments or creams. It seemed to actually clear up and my vag/crotch region felt fine. I should probaly mention I never noticed any unusual discharge... just the outter-symptoms.

So last night, since I thought all was well down in my pants, I went for some lovin' to the boyfriend's house. Skip to sex and... OUCH. The opening felt really raw and dry during sex, but not to the point where I have to stop. After we're done, I go to clean up and pee, and I notice the blood is there, again, and the same story this morning. However, I can't be sure if it's coming from the inside out now, and not just from the outside bits. Either way, the blood confuses me when not many people have said outside and/or insie bleeding as a symptom, all that often. The amount was minimal, by the way, and since it happened a few days before the sex AND then the night of sex... got me questioning.

So the questions are... has anyone else bled from the skin irritation of a YI? Or bled (obvious not period-related here) during a YI at all? I'm assuming it's from the skin being so burn-y and whatnot? I'm on Depo and haven't bled at all since May. I have no STIs and am in  monogamous relatonship. Should I go ahead at use this one-day YI treatment? I have not seen a doctor for the YI. But everyone (including them) have said that being on antibiotics is a good way to get one of these, so I guess I just assumed I'd get one as well, which seems to explain these syptoms, minus the bleeding in question. Or should I use an external antifungal cream first, to see if the irritation responds? There just doesnt seem to be any other reason other than a YI for all these symptoms right after a rondof antibiotics... or is there some other kind of infection I'm over-looking?

Thanks!

Can you treat men with Diflucan? I get yeast infections all the time and while I was reading another post I realized maybe my boyfriend is giving them to me.
