OK. Here is my story. Hopefully, someone will be able to shed some light on it. I'm 18 years old and have had only one sexual partner.

I had sex the day after my last period ended, about 12 days ago. We used a vaginal contraceptive film as our only form of birth control, and he ejaculated inside of me. I haven't had sex since then.

My cycle has been very regular for the past year or so, lasting about 32 days on average. Now is roughly the time when I should be ovulating, and I should get my period in about 14 days. However, the day before yesterday I noticed some slight brown discharge in my underwear. It has no smell, was very light, and I wasn't sore anywhere. This discharge has continued, and today it became a bit heavier after I got out of bed and stood up.

I find it strange that it has no smell, and that I have no other complaints "down there." I'm familiar with the idea of bleeding during ovulation, but it seems to be lasting rather a while (this being the third day).

I have also had a fairly bad cold since Monday, with a very sore throat and plegmy cough. I've been taking Advil quite consistently to deal with that, and am visiting my university's health center today to see what they can do about my throat. It's been bad enough that I have not been able to eat more than a few bites of food since Monday. (I'm not entirely sure whether this is relevant at all, but I figured I'd give as much information as possible.)

I'm trying to figure out how to get an appointment with a gynecologist, since I'm away from home and such, so until I do I would appreciate it if anyone could give me any insight on what's going on. Thank you so much.

Generally when I have orgasms, they are the big leg-shaking ones. They may vary intensity, but they are always what I'd refer to as "big ones." Reading this forum has made me realize that some people have a wider variety of orgasms, so maybe you gals can help me figure this out.

A week or so ago, my fiance was stimulating me orally. This is my preferred way of getting off and my fiance loves it, so needless to say we do it a lot. But this time, I kept feeling this little jolt, like an orgasm but on a much smaller level and not entirely pleasurable. It was like my clit was more sensitive than usual or the stimulation was a little too directly on the clit. It lasted for only a second and then my clit felt even more sensitive (like I had just had an orgasm) and I had to make my fiance move to surrounding areas before going back to my clit.

It reminds me of like when you get a body chill involuntarily, but totally isolated to the vulva. It was like my clit "shivered" lol. It didn't hurt, but felt somewhat uncomfortable because of the sensitivity.

It happened over and over (about 6 times) and I was getting frustrated (but in a positive way like "lol wtf is my body doing!") because it was interrupting the flow of pleasure for me to reach an orgasm. Eventually I got there, but am very curious about it.

I've had it happen to me in the past but blew it off as my body's way of reacting to over-stimulation. Like it was saying "get off me!" or something :) Never had it happen over and over, but its probably because I stopped stimulation after it happened the first time. It also seems to be isolated to oral sex.

Anyone have any idea what I'm talking about, lol? Maybe some of you who experience little and big orgasms can tell me if maybe that's what I'm experiencing or maybe its a reaction to over-stimulation?

Edit: Also, I am not on any meds right now, except Depo (which I'm coming off of)

I don't know if this is the right place to be posting this, but I don't really know where else to ask.

I had sex for the first time one week ago, and ever since then, I've had sort of awful cramps and I've had discharge that's slightly darker in color. Is that normal? I'm not thinking I'm pregnant or anything, but I'm just curious. The cramps sort of feel like period cramps (period cramps are a bit more painful) but I ended my period on the 24th.

Anyone know what could be up? Did this happen to you when you first had sex?

This is my first month off of hbc. My period finally went away and on about day 12 of my cycle, I noticed a jabbing pain in my left lower abdomen. At first I thought maybe I was ovulating. It has been a few days and I'm starting to wonder if the pain is an ovarian cyst. I've had them in the past. Is this common when hbc is stopped or is the sign of a larger problem?

You guys answered all of my questions great almost a week ago. So, I have another one. It's been 9 days since I discovered my first 2 bumps. Well, I still haven't had any pain and they haven't crusted over. It honestly looks like the red bumps just got smaller in size. They don't hurt when you touch them and I am extremely raw, itchy, and sore from the inside. I feel like I have a yeast infection. The doctor hasn't called me back with results yet but to me, this just seems weird. Obviously, I have to wait until the doctor calls but for those of you that have had outbreaks, when do your sores blister and form a crust? Thanks for the help in advance :)

New poster, long-time reader  :)

I'm on Yaz, and have been since about June of 2007. Taken it normally every month until now, when I had my first pill of the white placebo's for this pack yesterday, but I want to stack this pack, as I've heard can be done. Can I skip the last three white placebo pills and just jump to the new pack now? Any negative side effects of stacking? And would I be doing it right by just skipping the last placebos and starting a new pack instead? Thanks for any insights!

I know there's about a billion posts like this, but I was just wondering if anyone's had the same experiences with birth control as I have.

When I was about 15 I got put on Ortho Tri-Cyclen. I had some pretty terrible side effects. I gained a lot of weight, I had a bad skin reaction for a few days that made me itch all over (though my skin hurt to be touched, it was awful), my hair fell out quite a bit, and my moods were RIDICULOUS. My boyfriend ended up breaking up with me because I was so mean and bitchy to him. I missed pills a lot too and took them at the wrong times because I just can't remember the darn things. So I got off of it for like a year (I can't really tell if my moods were better though, due to being pretty depressed over the whole thing).

Eventually I ended up on Nuva-ring, and I really love how easy it is to use, I didn't have any side effects... until recently. I've been on it for about 2.5 years, but it's only been within the last year or so that I've gotten any side effects. My moods seem to be getting worse and worse with time, and my libido is decreasing to pretty much nothing as well. Is this normal? I was thinking perhaps my own hormones have increased/decreased and maybe that is why my symptoms have shown up so suddenly. But I'm currently with a boy that I love very much and my crazy moodswings are really bothering him.

So I need some help. I'm looking into everything. I was looking at IUD's, and i've seen some horror stories. Also, my cramps are TERRIBLE when I am not on birth control, like bed-ridden for 2-3 days, so I can't really take them getting any worse. I was also looking at the patch, as once a week seems easier to remember than once a day, but I don't know if it would give me the same type of skin reaction as I got with the pills, and i'd be so worried about it coming off. I really hate thinking of getting off the nuvaring, and i wish there was something like it that i could use, but i'm pretty sure it's one of the only things like it out there right now. I've had a lot of friends get pregnant on the shot, and generally have pretty awful experiences with it besides.

i'm just so lost, but I feel so damn crazy and i'm just hoping there's something out there that could work for me and be effective as well. if anyone knows of anything i'd appreciate it sooo much<3

Hey everyone, This is my first time posting so I'm sorry if this has been asked before..

I have had 3 yeast infections in my life.  The first one was about 3 years ago after I had sex and the condom broke.  I'm not sure if I got the YI because of that incident. Is that possible?

I had the next YI about 8 months ago, and thought it was because of using a vibrator.

My most recent YI was last month, but I'm not sure what from..  I always go to the bathroom after having sex ( I heard it is possible to get YIs from not peeing after sex) and sometimes I have a burning feeling.  For the past couple days I've had the burning feeling of a YI but only on my clitoris.  I don't know whats going on??

My fiance and I always use the same kind of condoms [Durex Ultra Sensitive] so I dont think I'm allergic to them...  Anyone have any idea of what could be wrong?

FYI: I had a pap smear a year ago and didn't have anything wrong with me, and I've been having sex with the same guy for the past 2 years.

Sorry If I confused you, and thanks for the help!

2nd post today.. I looked through the tags and couldn't find anything on this... if you know where its been posted before just let me know!

I LACK natural lubrication, and I think it's becuz I'm allergic to latex (just figured this out from my last post) .  I've tried different lubrications but non of them seem to work, they either burn, or need to be reapplied every few minutes cuz I dry out!

Can anyone else with this problem suggest a lubrication? Extra sensitive? Ive tried ultraglide, 2 different KYs and something else.  Warming stuff burns, tingling burns, regular burns.

Help? Thanks!

Hey Everyone,
I'm new here, but I'm not new to HBC, I started in yasmin in June of 2006 and switched to Yaz June of 2007, and now I'm going to be starting the Nuva Ring!
I'm excited, but i have a few questions and and I'm in need of some advice.
Now:
Should i refrigerate it? I have a small fridge in my room so it wouldn't be a problem I'm just not sure.
Should i start my Nuva Ring on the day i should be starting a new pill pack, or on the first day of my period, or should i wait until my next period, or should i put it in on the first day if my placebo?
My doctor was very rushed the day i went in and vaguely told me what to do but I'm still not sure.
Thanks in advance!!
-Sam

I finally got a yeast infection, the first in my 27 years of existence. My doctor gave me Diflucan which I took 2 days ago. The YI was/is pretty much asymptomatic in that with the exception of some VERY minor and sporadic itching which started about 5 months ago and occurred only during my period, there were no signs indicating its presence. No smell, no unusual discharge or burning, nothing.

So here's my problem; I know you're not supposed to have sex until after your YI is cleared but how will I know it's gone if there are no symptoms to begin with? Short of waiting to see if I experience any itching during my period next month, is there any other way to tell if a YI is gone? Or should I just assume the Diflucan did the job and resume having sex in a few days?
