ok first of all, i've been tested, not pregnant, not std's, etc.

oh and hello all, i'm new, my name is jasmine.

anyways, well i'd been hooking up with this guy pretty frequently. he's pretty well endowed-for me at least, and when we'd hook up we'd drink and take pills, whatever. so when we'd have sex, i'd be really relaxed and not numb...but well i guess just really relaxed.

ok, so the last time we hooked up i was totally sober, and got to appreciate how large he was. and it hurt, so we had to take it slow. and my stomach all the sudden started to cramp horribly and he had to pull out. so i was ok and we tried again...same thing happened. we couldn't even continue.

ok so now, i've not hooked up with him in about two weeks, or anyone else for that matter. but i do masturbate. and after every orgasm i get, i have these horrible cramps. like menstral cramps, but the worst ones i've ever experienced in my life. and they last maybe a half hour or so. no kidding. last night i had to take some pain meds i'd been given for my back, and soak in a hot hot bath so it would stop.

it's just so bizzare. another thing, i'll move or cough or sneeze sometimes, and get these horrible sharp pains, like sometihng is ripping inside me. it's in my lower stomach, and i asked the dr. at the health department here locally (because i can't afford to go to a gyeno), and she said it's all my intestines, gas, etc. but lately with the other pains i've been having, these have been worse too. the other day i was laying on the couch and stood up, and doubled over, clutching my stomach it hurt so bad.

i know i might should go to a doctor, but i don't want to be like "well, everytime i masturbate it hurts" or something weird like that, hah.

also, this odor lately. maybe because i've gained weight? who knows. i'm trying to lose, but god help me, it's not working well. but yea, it's not a uti or yeast infection or anything like that. just this odor, no matter how clean i try to be.

anyways, do you ladies have any ideas?

This is going to be a really odd question but...

I went to the hospital last night after a severe pain in my pelvic area. The only thing I could think of that it might have been was an ovarian cyst, since the pain was very similar to what my grandma described experiencing when she had one burst.

I had bloodwork done as well as a CT scan, but they were unable to do a pelvic exam. The CT scan showed a cyst on both ovaries, but nothing they did showed what had caused the pain, and the doctor told us to schedule an appointment with a better gynecologist since my last one basically did nothing to find the problem, just gave me BC.

If I did have a cyst burst, wouldn't they have been able to tell somehow? Could the pain have just been related to the cysts they know I do have? (I had smaller pains after the big, severe one that definitely came from my left or right ovary.)

I'm still worried and stressed about this- it was literally the WORST pain I have ever felt. It just came out of nowhere and I couldn't move because of the pain. Something that horrible seems like it would have to have some sort of cause! =( Does anyone have any idea what might have happened?

(Sorry if this is a bit of a dumb question, I tried looking up a few things, but my Google-fu seems to be rather weak and I didn't get anything useful.)

hi again. I posted recently about switching to femcon fe to control bleeding and how it wasn't working. well, the bleeding stopped (finally!) after a couple of days, but now I have another question. I'm on the 4th day of my inactive pills and my period is still MIA. should I be concerned? I haven't missed a pill or done anything differently, but I'm wondering if I should take a pregnancy test or just xchalk this up to my body getting used to the pill?

I've had problems with vulval and vaginal pain and irritation for six months now. Read more... )

I'm back to see Dr W on Friday. What should I ask her? Are there any tests I could ask for? What on earth could be going on here? Could it be vulvodynia? It's making me miserable, and we're both really missing our old sex life. I had all sorts of thrilling plans for incorporating sex toys and such, damn it, and it's just too sore to do anything of the sort.

will be cross-posted to [livejournal.com profile] vvs_community if they approve my membership in time for the doctor's visit!

Hello!
as the subject suggests, my right breast hurts very much. I feel like something is burning inside of it, on the side, near the armpit. It's not at all like the pain I usually have during PMS, but this time I had different symptoms than usual and now I'm on the last day of my period. Do you think that the lack of pre menstrual breast tenderness can be somehow related to this? By the way, it really hurts, I can't even wear a bra or sneeze!
I know that, if there's something wrong, it's not an emergency, but I'm becoming totally paranoid about this. Tomorrow my doctor doesn't receive and then I'm going to leave for a national political rally, I'm so afraid it will hurt and I won't enjoy the trip and the protest march, which themselves will make me weary. On Monday I'm going to have dental surgery, this means that I still won't be able to schedule an appointment for the breast and that I will have to deal with two pains altogether. Oh, how this sucks!
Do you have any ideas on what this pain can be? Should I worry or is it a common menstrual symptom I have never experienced before? What should I do to relieve the pain? I don't want to take drugs, I'm already going to take too many of them for the surgery in a few days! This leads to the second, totally unrelated question.

Antibiotics are usually a perfect way to make me get one of those neverending UTIs. When I'm lucky they only trigger a yeast infection.
Last month I took the first of four cycles of antibiotics I need for these dental surgeries and I had a mild UTI, but I'm sure things will get worse this time. I will take the first antibiotic on Sunday but I cannot make much to prevent the UTI, because of the rally on Saturday. I can't drink tons of water because I won't be able to pee that often, my hygiene won't be perfect because I will use public toilets and no bidet, I won't be in control of the food and I don't think I will avoid stress.
Can I start taking acidophilus and vitamin c now, or should I wait another couple of days? Can I take them both on the same day? I usually take birch capsules but they're too strong for the rally, so I'm going to use vitamin c.
I really need some suggestions on the way I can make the rally go together with the UTI prevention. Any ideas?

Thank you!

First question: What is the difference between a basal thermometer and a regular one, I have both, but they look the same, is it calibrated differently?

Second: I was given Metronidaz 0.75%, I'm instructed to use it after my peroid is over, just wondering is it going to give me a yeast infection? it's not listed in the side affects, but I was curious.

No sex for 2 weeks, how ever will I manage?

Hey fellow VPers. I've got a quick question that you can hopefully solve for me. When using Canesten pessaries (or in fact any internal treatment for yeast infections), is it normal for the itching to get worse before it gets better? Is this a sign of the treatment working?

Thanks!

Ok I just joined because if I don't get some help soon I'm gonna lose my mind. So some back story: I am sexually active but I've been tested and I have no STDs. I do however have cervical dysplasia (had a colposcopy done this summer and I have a mild case.) For the past year I have been having awful problems. Last year I had a horrible infection that took the doctors a few days to figure out what it was. Aparently I had a strep and e. coli infection of the vagina. I was treated for that and didn't have too many more problems for awhile. Well this summer I thought I had another bad infection because I was very sore with a lot of itching. The doctor said she was sure I had an infection just looking at me. Well I didn't... the tests all came back negative. Since then every single month I've had burning and itching. So no STDs, no yeast and no bacterial infection.

I recently went on a new pill (Ortho Tricyclen Lo) because Yaz was making me a depressed mess. I wasn't on anything for 10 days and I just started this pill on Sunday. I basically had my period for a month so I was wearing a pantyliner. Today I had very strange discharge. It was pinkish (mostly clear) but it was an almost sticky, jelly like thick consistency. I'm again all irritated, swollen and itchy. I don't know what to do. The last two tests I had have come back negative for yeast and infection. The doctors aren't helping me. This happens every month. It's so annoying and painful and I need a solution. I don't think its very normal to have this much irritation every single month :(

Thanks for any help in advance

Alright girls, I'm looks for a more experiences take on a situation that is cause some problems for my boyfriend and myself. The situation is that we've been dating for two years, but only became sexually active about 4 months ago. We're both 22, and each others first partners, and I can probably count the number of times we've had sex at under 30. The thing is that, while my boyfriend isn't having premature ejaculation or anything, he has a hard time getting me to orgasm before he does. When this happens we usually wait a little while and try again, but lately we've both been too busy to have that kind of time. The result is that we've had about 4 encounters where I haven't finished. It's not that I can't, its just that for whatever reason I take a little longer than he does. So I guess I have a few questions: First of all is this normal, or are we screwing up something that all are drunken, one night stand neighbors have managed to figure out? Second, are there some techniques out there that can speed me up or slow him down (yes, we engage in pretty heavy foreplay and sometimes oral, but any other ideas?) Is his stamina, or my speed, something that will improve with age and experience? I'm just really confused right now, and tired of how he always seems to feel guilty. Some personal advice would be great, mostly cause I'm sick of this factor dominating our wonderful relationship (oh, I should also add that the BC I'm on is the nuva ring, and we also use ribbed condoms). Thanks! :)

So, I was put on "the pill" back when I was 16 (about 9 years ago) to help clear up my skin. I had a blood test done to check my hormone levels and turns out my testosterone was too high which was causing my skin to produce excess oil which led to persistant acne. Anyways, skin cleared up, not totally, but definitely better. Fast forward a few years...still on the same pill, but my skin flares up, this time, mostly redness and red bumps. Went to derm, who told me it is rosacea. I tried a couple topical treatments but they didn't do much. So..9 years after starting HBC, i decided to call it quits, mostly because I got married 6 months ago and don't know how long it will take my body to adjust to no HBC so I dont' want to have trouble conceiving because of the HBC issue when we do decide to get pregnant.

Anyways, my skin is like seriously freaking out now that I've been off the pill for 2 months. I went to a new dermatologist about 5 weeks ago, but even then my skin was better than it is now even with the HBC is out of my sistem. At the time, i told her i didn't want to be on anything oral (anti-biotic (i'm prone to YIs), or anything else that would mess with my system, and she knew I was getting off the HBC). So, she started me on some topical treatments, different than what I had tried before. well, it got a little better, but now it is worse. I feel like I'm 15 or 16 again! I feel like i wil never have "normal" skin unless i go back on the pill which I don't want to do!

Anyone else have a similar experience, and what did you do? It is very embarassing to be a 25 almost 26 year old still struggling with acne :-(

I saw this linked on another site that I occasionally post on.

http://www.abcnews.go.com/GMA/WomensHealth/story?id=3739973&page=1

"A controversial proposal at a Maine middle school would offer birth control pills or patches for girls."

I think it's good that they're offering this to the students, but still feel a bit unsettled at the idea of 11-14 year olds having sex. The truth is, if it's going to happen, it will happen. We might as well give them the oppertunity to protect themselves.
I hope it's something that they contiune to offer the students as they enter high school; or at least if they don't get it in at the junior high level that they do implement it a the high school level.

I am currently taking the Cerazette 75 mg Progesterone only pill, and I have an infection on my little finger which is being medicated with Flucoxacillin 250 mg Antibitotics.

Do they cancel one another out?

While searching the web for any household items that can be used as lube (as per[livejournal.com profile] goth_kittykat's request here) I found this gem. It made me giggle so I thought I would share.

I've been reminded many times to ask this, and I keep forgetting.

I have had sex for over two years now and I have never had an orgasm during sex without rubbing my clit as well (and that has only happened a few times). But I'm not at all unhappy with this, because for me, sex with my lover is extremely satisfying and I'm honestly good with getting off either before or after sex - and he can give me orgasms like crazy any other time ;)
(And we have tried to during sex, and I'll get up there, but it'll just continue to feel flippin' fantastic LOL... but I won't actually orgasm.)

So I was just wondering what you consider the norm during sex? Is it expected that a woman orgasm through just having sex (without fingers/rubbing etc...)? I only ask because before I came to this community, I heard that only a small percentage of woman come JUST from vaginal sex. That being said, I know I'm totally normal, so I'm not asking for advice ^_^ Just curious on your points of view on the subject!
