Virginity, Hymen and Tampons

However, my parents (my mom specifically) does not know this and obviously I don't want them to know.
I am 19 years old and I'm a junior in college, but my parents are very strict and they are very religious and conservative. We are not originally resident here in the United States. We used to live in the Philippines, which is a highly conservative and catholic country in Asia.
We have been here in the U.S. for more than 2 years but still my mom brought her crappy ways of thinking.
The thing is , I really want to start using tampons and I actually already have bought a pack today. My mom always thinks that having a hymen is very important to a girl since it is a sign of her virginity (which certainly stupid because I know hymen can be broken with a bunch of activities etc.). However, she always just assume that girls who uses tampons are not virgins anymore. She might suspect that I'm not a virgin anymore because I am using tampons. What should I do? How should I tell my mom that tampons does not take anybody's virginity etc. Help! My mom is a pretty closed minded person and even though I'm armed with data, most of the time she won't listen to me and just brush me off. What should I do?
