So, since starting on HBC (ortho tri-cyclen lo) three months ago, I've noticed odd objects in my menstrual flow on the first and second day of my cycle. At first I was afraid it might be tampon fibers, so I managed to investigate a few of the objects.

They wouldn't dissolve or break apart like normal discharge would, or change shape. It seems stretchy, but still difficult to pull apart. I ran it under the faucet and that force didn't break it apart.

So my question is - is this normal? Is it the secretion of cervical mucous from the HBC? Do other women experience this, or should I be asking the doc?

Okay, so. For the past month or so, I've had a pimple-sized lump on my outer labia. It didn't hurt any more than the mild tenderness that generally comes with... a pimple.

Today, as I was wiping, it started bleeding. Quite a bit more than your average facial zit would bleed if you popped it.

Not sexually active. Don't shave.

Could it be a pimple? Do labial pimples tend to bleed more? Or...? I'm not really sure what to do.

ETA: Awkward update. It's stopped bleeding and it feels as though the lump has... deflated. There's just a bloody plump of flesh there, but no hard lump. I'm assuming this is good and points to me not dying. But I'm really wondering wtf is wrong with my vaginal area.

My pharmecy switched my Seasonale to Jolessa. Supposedly they are the same but it seems different to me by reading the little pamphlet thingy. So, are they the same, or are they different? Same thing different packaging?? Thanks!!

Checked the memories, but i didnt see this question.

Hey, I'm not sure exactly what's going on, but I'm sure it's happening/has happened to someone else in the community. For about the past month when I shower and right afterwards I have little white bits all around my clit and labia. It looks quite a bit like dried skin, but it only shows up when I'm wet from a shower, it could possibly be smegma but it doesn't look the same as discharge I see during the day. Once I'm dry again, I can't see or feel it. I haven't changed diets or soaps, there's no different smell or itching, and I'm taking just as good care of the area as always. Any idea what's going on? And even better, how to get rid of it? Thanks.

Edit: I've never used any soap, just water.

Hey ladies!
I have a quick question for you all.

About two weeks ago, i drunkenly gave a dude a blowjob. I told him not to off in my mouth, but hey, shit happens, and he ended up offing in my mouth and i was very pissed. I got the skinny on his history: He said he's been tested, but not recently, and he has not been showing any symptoms or anything. Now, i know that you can have an STD or STI and not show any symptons at all, so this doesn't reassure me in the least. I'm going to get tested tomorow.

Flash forward to today: I recently had sex with an ex-boyfriend of mine. I'm on the BC (Yasmin) so we don't bother to use condoms, and i know he's STD/STI free. What i'm worrying about though, is that i'll have transferred something to him unknowingly. If this is the case, how do i break it to him? I have no idea how to go about this and still have my dignity(and his) intact afterward.

My last question: I think i might have had BV last year(think October, November) but i never got checked for it. The last time i had sex with my ex(yesterday), it was SO painful. So horribly painful that i don't even want to keep sex up after about ten-fifteen minutes. This was also happening back in October, November of last year. I guess you could say the problem never really went away. Could this be a bad attack of BV or a STD/STI or a nasty combination of both?

Okay, I'm sure there have been about a billion posts like this, but I want to explain MY problem. There is alllwwways discharge in my panties...everyday....ALL the time. It smells terrible also. I know everyone says "Discharge is completely normal...unless it has a strong odor" Ok, greatttt. But I'm way too nervous to go to a Gyno, and I'm 17 and I know I need to get over that, but I'm not ready. So basically, what COULD be wrong down there? And is there any risk in not going to the doctor about this embaressing problem YET? By the way, this has been an ongoing probmen for years, and like I said, I'm only 17.

Thanks so much!

Ok,
So either then saying "Hey I am a virgin" before having sex, is there another straight out give away if a person has never had sex before, not even once. I'm not talking about sexual performance, I'm talking about my vagina. If my hymen is still fully intact will that give away that I have never had sex before, because I know some hymens just stretch out but don't break.  Let me rephrase to make this clearer, does a guy know from the penetration alone (all other things aside) whether or not a woman has been penetrated before. Weird question I know, but i am very curious.

Please no lectures, I'm really just looking for an answer to the vagina part. Thanks in advance, a version of this question was x-posted in sextips also.

So, I'm a 36D. My back hurts all the time, I have to buy shirts that are two sizes too big for the rest of me and I look like I'm about to fall over at all times.

Surgery....is a little much for me. I don't really like the thought of cutting open my boobies. However, I really like working out. Anyone know of any excercises or anything short of a scalpel that might make my boobs come back inwards?

chlamydia

So, i just got a call from the guy i'm sleeping and yep, he's just being tested positive for chlamydia...great. I know this is easy to treat thru antibiotics (happily)
but for the past few weeks i've experiencing itching on my inner and outer labia, occasional burning while urinating, and the last time i had intercourse it was unpleasant-burning and painful. I don't have any abnormal discharge, growths, smells, or signs of crabs etc. It's just itchy ! So, my question pretty much is; can this itching and discomfort I have been suffering have been caused by chlamydia??I've read up on it a little and I've been getting mixed opinions. anyone here know anything about it?
thanks:)

Howdy, fellow Vulva-Loving Superstars!

Because of some recent comments in VP, we felt that this would be a good time to clarify some parts of our policy. Specifically, we want to discuss the idea of empowerment.

What's Empowerment?
As it says in this section of VP's FAQ/Rules, one facet of empowerment is:

[b]eing respectful of members' decisions. Each member needs to be comfortable with her own decisions. Especially where decisions of a sensitive nature are concerned, it's important to accept that choices have been made and to offer comments that support those choices rather than undermine them.

On a practical, everyday level, this often simply means accepting that different people make very different decisions. While it's always appropriate to respectfully provide information about the risks inherent in a VPer's decision, it's not okay to disregard that decision.

Even if you respectfully question someone's choice, it's important to acknowledge that the right to make that choice belongs solely to the person making it, and only they are fully capable of knowing all the risks/factors involved.
