Hi everyone. Thanks so much for everyone's help and comfort from my last post about EC. I was able to get it the next day and took it with no side effects or problems. I just had a quick question about my BC now. I took the EC on Thursday (the second pill on Friday) and my placebo week of my pills started on Wednesday. Now I had an early period (spotting?) last week so I doubt I will get my period this week (someone please correct me if I'm wrong). Regardless of this, I was wondering if when it comes time for me to start my new pack (next Wednesday) should I? I don't have to wait a certain amount of time because of the EC, correct? Thanks again! :)

I had sex with my boyfriend on Sunday, and I think he went in further than before. Now I've been getting a few sharp pains deep within me. Do you think he was hitting my cervix, or what? I'm not bleeding or anything, but I would like to know...

Sweat

A few of my friends and I were discussing jokingly about sweat in your nether regions.. And it got me thinking, what exactly can be done? Even about stuff like ass sweat... It can be rather annoying, and I'm curious to know if anyone knows if theres anything that can be done to prevent it?

I have two questions that I didn't find answered in the memories:

I lost my virginity last night. It was absolutely perfect and romantic. We used a condom and I'm not worried about anything but I was just wondering two things:

If a couple doesn't use a condom or the condom breaks, can you actually feel the male ejaculate into the female?

also...

If a woman has sex a few days before her period and she gets pregnant, will she still have that period and skip the rest from then on?

thanks to anyone who can answer!

So it's time for my yearly gyno exam, not to mention that I only have one pack of BC left. I've always went to PP, but now I have insurance which is an HMO, so I have to see one of their doctors or they won't cover it. I could still go to PP, but I'd have to pay for it, which isn't an option. (I also found out that with my insurance, I can only have a prescription for one pack of pills, which I have to get filled every month, each with a copay. Fuckers. But that's besides the point.)

I've been reading recently about people who've had problems getting their doctor to support their decisions, from EC to abortions to IUDs, and it's terrifying me. This is my worst fear. I'm scared that if something did happen (which is a HUGE maybe at the moment, probably involving a fetus named Jesus) I wouldn't be able to get an abortion. I also want a prescription for EC just in case it doesn't end up being sold over the counter for whatever reason.

I've had bad experiences with doctors in the past, from being told that my pain is just in my head to being called a slut for having a UTI. I don't feel comfortable asking my PCP either to do the exam or to give me recommendations because he's someone I picked out of my provider book when I was sick. He seems like a good doctor, but disinterested and quite traditional (the average old white haired man). I don't feel comfortable asking him these things or really opening up to him (Get it? Opening up? Gyno humor.).

So any suggestions? Should I just call each provider listed close to me and ask them if they would support my decisions? Or even better, is there anyone here in the Pittsburgh area that could recommend someone?
How did you find a doctor that you felt supported your beliefs, whatever they may be?

Thanks for letting me ramble guys...I'm totally stressed about this, as I have exactly one month to resolve this, and I figured this could be a place to ask.

1) I had sex sunday and the condom broke, but he didn't ejaculate. However, it was during the second day of my period that we had sex, and I went and got the Plan B pill and took that on Tuesday (so 32 hours had elapsed, and my period ended on monday). However, yesterday I noticed I was bleeding, so I'm sort of panicked. Could this mean I'm pregnant, or is it a side effect of the Plan B pill? I'm not getting any side pains, so I don't think it's a tube pregnancy.

2) Do you have more of a chance of getting pregnant when you have sex on your period?

3) I have Fidelis Child Health Plus, and Planned Parenthood doesn't accept the insurance for any of it's services. I need to get birth control and I'm pretty much broke (I'm a college student) and I ended up paying $65 for the Plan B pill. I think Planned Parenthood is the only show in town (Poughkeepsie, NY) for BC but is there anyway to find out if there's any other places that offer BC?

This is kind of a weird question but I switched my Birth Control and have an extra pack of the kind that I'm no longer using. Does anyone know of a place I could donate this extra pack to or is that even legal? I just hate to throw it out since I know how expensive it can be....

Thanks

Okay, so I have a problem.
This relates to using garlic cloves as a suppository.

Here is the story:

Age 12: Total cholesterol: 150
Age 15: Total cholesterol: 160ish
Age 16: Went on the pill, Alesse. Switched to Ortho Cyclen.
Age 17: Total cholesterol: 250
Age 18, this past April: Switched to Desogen due to a variety of reasons
This past June, total cholesterol: 244

Went off the pill in July to see if cholesterol would go down. Used barrier methods since [just so y'all don't think I'm having unprotected sex]

Age 19, early September [a few weeks ago. Still off HBC]: Total cholesterol: 175

I did not go through any significant lifestyle changes between June and September. I became vegetarian in December of last year, this did not decrease my cholesterol.

So basically I am assuming that birth control gave me high cholesterol, which makes total biological sense if you think about the mechanism by which steroid hormones work. But now I am experiencing a dilemma: I went on the NuvaRing this afternoon, I am hoping that it does not raise my cholesterol like the other forms of HBC did. If it does, what can I do?! I am not interested in getting an IUD because I use a menstrual cup and many IUD users experience discomfort or problems when using the two together [due to the suction I guess]. It's also pretty hard to get a gyno to give a 19 year old with no kids an IUD. I do not want to just use barrier methods as my primary birth control for the rest of my life or even a few years [it is too risky!]. I am considering going on HBC [probably Nuva Ring, yay for low doses!] for a year at a time, then taking a few months break to give my liver and my circulatory system a break because it really isn't a good idea to have high cholesterol for long periods of time. Is that even a good idea? I really have no other ideas. What do you all think I should do if my cholesterol goes back up?

I'm quite afraid right now and could really use some help/suggestions.

I have a red, round, and somewhat raised rash on my left arm. The other day I was taking a nap and I remember scratching my arm and then falling back asleep I didn't pay attention to it then but I doubt it was red.

Today my arm itched a bit more and so I scratched it and then looked at my arm to see if it was a bug bite and that's when I saw the big, red spot on my arm. I still didn't think anything of it until a few minutes ago when my sister said "Maybe it's TSS". I flipped out and now I'm terrified that I might have TSS. The spot feels warmer than the rest of my skin and I checked the symptoms of TSS and I only have one, the rash. Earlier I had a headache and my shoulders hurt but I attributed it to my period because I get them often.
So my question is do you all think I could have TSS? Should I go to the hospital? (I have no insurance and no doctor and no job.) Please help me.

I admittedly do not know much in the way of normalcy as far as ovulation goes. In fact I dont know much on the subject at all hence my reason for asking here :)

I know some people experiance cramping and such during ovulation and I do too but for the last couple cycles I've noticed a trend in the way I cramp...It alternates sides with each cycle. Like two cycles ago I had this annoying little stabbity cramp on the left hand side (where I approximate the ovaries to be) and then this past cycle it was on the right hand side in the exact same area. It's not something that concerned me but made me curious and I just wanted to know if this is fairly common or if I'm some wierd freak of nature or soemthing or if it is indeed something I should have checked ect.
