This is my first month with a Paragard, which was going well until a recent problem . . .

I know some sources suggest that IUDs can cause YIs and vaginitis - but none specify whether they are taking about the hormonal IUD or the copper (the one site I've found that specifically suggests the copper IUD causes YIs is free of those pesky things called references).

Actual question: Does anyone here with a copper IUD experience more or reoccurring YIs or any more vaginitis symptoms? I'm getting very anxious that I will have the same experience with the IUD as with the pill (lots of soreness and infections), which pretty much ruined my sex life for years, but I'm trying to be optimistic that this is another one of those body-getting-used-to-IUD things.

hey everyone. i think i have a pretty bad UTI.
so i'm on my way to the doctors soon, or tomorrow.
it depends on when i can get an appointment.
but my question is how do they check you?
do you take your pants off? or just pee in a cup?
it would make me feel more at ease if i knew what
to expect before going in there. thanks guys!!

Hey everyone. This isn't a question pertaining to the actual procedure, as I have had one before. But last time it was SO PAINFUL. I've heard girls say it is just like a pinch, but when my gyno put the solution on, it burned, and then when she took the actual samples, it was terrible. Now after 2 more abnormal paps, I'm due for another. So I guess I have a couple of questions.

What have you girls done to calm yourself? Or cut down on the pain? I took an 800mg Motrin last time and it did nothing. Maybe i just have a sensitive cervix? :P

Also, I went from abnormal paps, to a biopsy where there was nothing abnormal, and I still have abnormal paps. Is there a reason for this? Any input would be helpful. Thanks!

I have a question about waxing off all your pubic hair. I think if I get it done professionally I will be able to handle the pain, but I have some concerns about regrowth and stubble. The only time I've ever gone hairless down there was after a home waxing DISASTER, I ended up with stick bald patches on my mons so I figured I better shave it all off. I'd avoided shaving before this because I didn't think I could handle the stubble, and I was right, it was horrible. I could barely walk for like a week because all the stubble growing on the edges of my outer labia, the joint of my thighs, between my butt cheeks, basically ANYWHERE that rubbed while I was walking, turned my skin red raw and painful. The worst part was the edges of my outer labia rubbing against my clitoris, I was out of action for way too long.

So, on to waxing- it should be the solution to my stubble woes, so they say. But I've waxed my legs many times before, I don't have a problem really, except that I find that the hair actually goes back quite sharp and prickly, even when it's been ripped out by the roots, and also it doesn't last anywhere near as long as they say on the packets, maybe a week or something.

So if my leg hair is anything to go by, waxing my cooter might not be the best idea. I'm worried that if I pay to get it done I'll have barely a week to enjoy it and then the long hard road of pain and misery as it grows back.

Any advice/experience/ideas/sympathies? I guess most people don't have the problem of spikey wax regrowth (or that's what they lead you to believe on the packets anyway), but for anyone who does, how do you deal with it? Is there just no point even trying? I've been told before that 'a shave a day keeps the stubble away' but I really don't have the time or patience to do it every day, especially considering the consequences if I sleep late one day. Plus I actually found it quite painful to do the really sensitive bits of my labia, so shaving is just out altogether. Should I bother waxing?

so i think i started my period today, which i think is good..if i started.
well it was this evening, and i have been having a pregnancy scare the past couple of weeks.

well my blood was like a kind of neutral color..with a little bit of pink..it was like a neutral blush color.

is that normal? cause usually, esp when i start, i have a very red color.

cause im still worried. im not sure if its necisary to take a test?

is there a difference in implantation bleeding and period bleeding? color wise? cause i heard implantation bleeding was around the same time you'd start your period, hence why most women dont think there pregnant cause they think they start there period..

so question is, should i still be worried?

it is also very light.
like..it started around 3hours ago and i have had on a pantyliner and thats it..and its still fine!
