Irregular periods

Okay basically I'm fifteen, sixteen next month. I started my period at age 11 and up to recently my periods have always been completely regular, coming on the 28th of every month, even since I first started. Now in the past three months my periods have come at the 21st, 15th and now the 7th. It's like I'm doing everything backwards and I'm not use to this, you're periods are meant to be irregular when you first start, not five years after. Is there any reason it's doing this?

i used to get my bikini line waxed but after 3 years, i said to myself, damnit i am NOT a masochist and this hurts too much.

also, alot of times when the hair would grown back after a bikini wax i would have terrible itchy painful rashes-so i said screw this.

Urinating during orgasm -- and it's not female ejaculate

I searched the archives but did not see this specific question.

For most of my life (I'm 39) I did not have an orgasm or even get especially close, but now I've had some success with a vibrator. But when I get close and/or start feeling the spasms, I leak urine. I'm sure it's not "female ejaculate" because it's yellow and smells like urine. This makes it hard for me to continue, even if there's a towel underneath me.

what are your views on virginity? is keeping it/losing it really that big of a deal? any other ideas you have on it?

personally, i think it is special, and I would not want to give mind to just anyone. That said, I don't think I will save myself till marriage. But until i know for sure, no sex!

sexually explicit lyrics causing teens to have sex sooner?

I found an article today on yahoo about a study done that says teens who listen to sexually explicit lyrics are more likely to have sex sooner. Here's an excerpt:

"Songs depicting men as "sex-driven studs," women as sex objects and with explicit references to sex acts are more likely to trigger early sexual behavior than those where sexual references are more veiled and relationships appear more committed, the study found.

Teens who said they listened to lots of music with degrading sexual messages were almost twice as likely to start having intercourse or other sexual activities within the following two years as were teens who listened to little or no sexually degrading music."



Personally I don't think the music industry should have the full responsibilty of teen sexuality placed upon them.


"It's a little dangerous to just pinpoint one thing. You have to look at everything that's going on in a young person's life," she said. "When somebody has a healthy sense of themselves, they don't take these lyrics too seriously."



Though they did mention that, what about sexually explicit films? I think moreso than music they have an effect on today's youth. Lots of times kids may not even realize the lyrics they're listening to because of the actual music, but in all the visual aspects of the media it's shoved right in their faces. And yes, I include music videos in that sense. But it's like when they tried to blame Marilyn Manson for all of the school shootings; where are the parents? If they were more involved and open with their kids about sex, They'd be better armed to deal with the sex that's floating all over the place.

it has come to my attention that bearing down with your pelvic floor muscles when you don't need to is not a good idea.
two questions:
1) what's the different between bearing down and doing Kegels?
2) is it also bad to bear down with your butt/pooping muscles when you aren't pooping?

cloth pads and the like

Hey everyone. I looked around the tagged entries and such but didn't really see exactly what I was looking for (and they're a tiny bit outdated on the topic; I know vaginapagina gets new members all the time, so I thought there might be new members with new opinions). Anyway. Cloth pads. I have a DivaCup that I've used for one cycle so far, and I really liked it, but I do need pantiliners for backup on heavy days and for general paranoia. I liked the websites (read: prices) of TLC Pads and Hag Rags, but I tend to wear thongs, and I'm not sure if they'd work with them. I know that there are Lunapanties that are thongs, but I didn't see Luna Pads. Also, while I think using a Diva Cup is feasible in a dorm room/on a college campus, are cloth pads too high-maintenance? I hate the idea of using disposables, but if it's going to be a huge hassle to use cloth ones (I won't have a sink in my room, just in the hall), I can face the idea of using 5 or 6 disposable thong pantiliner and a bigger pad or two a month . I'd love to hear everyone's opinions and experiences :) Thanks in advance!

hi...this is my first post, I just added this community for the sole purpose of this question so I'm sorry if I'm not doing anything right...

Anyway I didn't see anything in the tags for this...I have my period right now, it's my second day so it's pretty heavy. I work in a resturant and we were very busy tonite. When I had a free second, I ran to the bathroom and quickly put in a new tampon. I don't know how, but somehow I forgot to take my other one out. So I walked around for 3 hours with TWO Super-absorbant tampax pearls in my vagina. I was pretty stunned when, about 10 minutes ago, I pulled a tampon out only to see another string?!

My question is...well, am I ok? I'm worried, does that up my chances for TSS? I don't feel ill, but now I'm nervous...

Multiple Orgasms

I was wondering...what is the difference between a regular orgasm, and multiple orgasms?

I had my first orgasm when I was 15. I've had lots since then, blah blah blah. Basically, I'm just wondering:

When I have an orgasm, more often than not, I feel that explosion feeling, and then again, and again, and again. The "explosions" get lesser and lesser. Sometimes I just have like...one explosion. Those ones feel sort of lame and unsatisfying.

So what I'm asking is, are the orgasms I'm having multiple orgasms, or is that something else entirely?

Quick question

this is a purely hypothetical question. i know its advised not to have sex while treating a YI and that the treatment can weaken condoms, but how long does that apply for?

Supposing I have yeast infection, and i treat it with a one day treatment on thursday, would i be ok to have sex on friday night?

treating a UTI and yeast infection at the same time

has anybody else treated a UTI and a yeast infection (lucky girllllll) at the same time? I am already taking antibiotics for the UTI and I want to do the Monistat one treatment.

I guess I just want to make sure that it can be done, is all.
