I've been doing some baking today and of course had to sample several of my fresh chocolate chip cookies, but I could tell I used too much vanilla in them right away.

and the fun part a few hours later my vagina actually smelled like vanilla, i've heard of this happening with garlic, but it just struck me as cool. does this happen often to you ladies? it's not harmful is it? I kind of like the idea of my vagina smelling (and perhaps tasting?) like fresh cookies... ;) for the time being anyway..

it's like natural vagina perfume, lol. (not saying that there's anything wrong with going au naturale)

So after a couple years of hearing nothing but praised heaped on menstrual cups, am I the only one who's ultimately pretty darn unsatisfied with her cup? I've been using my DivaCup for over a year now, and I'm really not particularly happy with it. I find it uncomfortable; one, it causes me cramps, two, it doesn't even sit low in my vagina, it sits outside of it, so I can feel it unless I'm sitting or lying down. And I find it incredibly unreliable. I can put it in the exact same way, feel it pop, twist it, and a few hours later look at my underwear or bed and all the blood that should be in the cup is there. I still use my cup because I feel better about wasting less product and also saving money, but I can't wear it to work because I'm a carpenter who does a lot of heavy lifting, and straining just pushes it further out of my vagina, not to mention I never know when I'm going to have a giant red stain in my pants. I pretty much only wear it at home when it doesn't matter that much about having reliable protection and when I'm not going to be moving around a whole lot.

I'm not looking for advice; I've received scads of it, tried it all, to no avail. It just seems strange that out of so many women I'm exposed to who've tried the cup, I'm the only one who's not satisfied. So am I the only one?

Can you physically insert an Acidophilus pill inside your vagina to treat yeast infections? Wouldn't it fall out? If the pill was just taken orally would it still help treat it?

By the way, out of curiousity, has anyone else gotten an YI from a guy ejaculating inside you [without a condom]? Yes we were both std-free and I was on the pill and all that, in case you're wondering.

I just got back from some extended travel and during that time I decided to not have my period. Just keep taking the active pills the whole time. I had talked to my gyn about this and have done it before..usually I go 6 weeks and menstrate the 7th week. This time it was more like 10.

A couple times I missed one and started to spot a little bit, but as soon as I took it the spotting stopped. I assumed that when I got home and quit taking the actives, I would have a pretty heavy period.

Well, here it is Thursday, and I haven't had a pill since Saturday. I don't really think I am pregnent, or if I am, I have been since April.

Partner and I used to use condoms while I was on the pill but after a long chat with my gyn, we decided to forgo. I take the pill regularly, except the travel thing mixed me up a little. If I ever miss one while I am with my partner, we use backup. I was not sexually active while I was travelling.

So where is it? Does anyone else do the extended active cycle thing?

Period...where are you?

i posted this question about yeast infections yesterday. since then, i had my boyfriend talk to a doctor. he said that men can not get yeast infections. now i'm confused, because the man is a very well respected doctor, and i can't imagine he'd be wrong about this. at any rate, i'm going to see if my boyfriend will use an OTC topical on himself, and i'm going to treat my own infection - again. and abstain for a while.

my next question: is it a problem that i'm using the same (prescription) cream suppository every time i get a new infection, which is once every few weeks? am i building some sort of immunity to it, or is it too harsh to use so often? i've been seeing different gynos from the same practice, depending on who can see me the fastest, so i don't know if they've kept very close check of how much medication they're giving me.

thanks for any advice, and again, i'm sorry for all the yeast questions :-/

Something odd has been going on with my body.

Every now and then, I'll get itchy, just in the inner lips of my vulva. It's not around my clitoris and not inside my vagina, just in the inner lips. It's bearable, but uncomfortable. It usually only lasts about a day or two, but during it and for a couple days afterwards my discharge is thicker than normal and smells a little sour and a little metallic.

As far as I can remember this has only happened during the summer, so I'm guessing it's probably related to sweating a lot and having the sweat get trapped there. If that sounds reasonable, or anyone else has had something similar happen, or anyone can think of something else that might be causing it... I'd appreciate whatever you have to say!

I've had a history of UTI's... 4 in the past 6 months, so I'm currently seeing a urologist and have an appointment next week. On Monday I had what felt like the beginings of a UTI, so I drank lots of water, and by the next day I felt fine. But last night, I wet my pants (which is SO EMBARRASING for a 22 year old, but yeah). I don't have any pain while urinating, just some pre-period type-cramps (it's not time for my period yet), but that's it. I've had incontinence for a UTI before, but never as the only symptom. I've had it get up to my kidneys before, and I DON'T want that, but I'm not sure if I should go to the doctor today if I've just got an appointment with the urologist (who is in a different city) in a few days anyways.

Irregular Periods Defined? )

Well, I dont know if you ladies remember my post a few days ago about vulval itching around the opening and clit, that we determined to be an external yeast infection. I used vagisil (which, btw, burned a bit, and I hated it - didnt stop the itching) until we got paid (today) and I could get something to treat with. I opted for yogurt because I would get a huge tub for cheap. I learned a few things. #1) plain yogurt tastes really gross. ( I tasted it before I used it LOL) 2)it feels really good to put cold yogurt on an itchy twat. 3)it really does stop the itching Ok,. my questions are, I am on my period now, will that effect the effectiveness of the yogurt? how long do I have to do this? (its a mild YI) AND, how many times can I apply it per day? (like, every time I go to the bathroom, only when it starts to itch..?) Remember, im only using this on the outside, bc the infection isnt inside (yet, *cross fingers*) umm oh yeah! Also (last one ) do you think that if I ate yogurt (from another container of course) as well as used some on my vulva that it would help any? or work faster?? thanks for the input ladies (er- and gents)! I love you all! Your great!

oh yeah, one last comment )

Hi I'm new here and basically came for one question...

First off I'm not sure this is the right place for this question so if not please send me to where I should go. Thanks.

Some back ground: I'm 20 and have been having sex for about two years. I've been with two clean guys and have been checked for all std's. I've been with the second guy my husband for more than a year and a half so nothing recent or new has changed in that department. Also I do have an appointment for this but because Planned Parenthood is so booked its not for another week and a half so I figured any help/suggestions/thoughts might make me feel better until then.

Anyways. About three months ago I was having issues while having sex with my husband. I never before had any issues with being sore or him being to big or any of that kinda stuff. But about three months ago I noticed that nearing the end of our sexual encounters I would feel a pain when he got deep. Not like he was hitting stuff but more of the feeling like I had been scratched and it was being irriated. Sorta a painful irraiting feeling when he went to a certain depth. I then went to the doctor then and told her what was going on. They basically told me it sounded like I wasn't getting enough of Vitiam B12? I'm not certain on the number but I know it was B something. I thought it was weird and figured I'd see how bad it got. It kinda just went away.

Until recently. About two weeks ago my husband was fingering me and it hurt so badly that I had to make him stop and I wouldn't let him touch me for about a week. The last week intercourse has become the same. It just feels like when he gets to a certain depth its like he's rubbing up against a bunch of tiny scratchs. (I'm not sure how uncomon/comon scratchs are but my husband has in the past giving me one) I'm pretty sure this isn't a scratch though cause it feels like tons of them in just one spot. Anyways I'm sure that I dont have any STD's and I'm basically just wondering if any one else has ever heard anything about the vitiam B12 thing and if possibly any one has ever experienced this and if it went away or there had to be treatment.

Any info would be very helpful. Thank you for your time.

There's so much stuff in my vagina right now! I just got my DivaCup, so I'm giving it a test run...and my NuvaRing is in there somewhere. Even with those massive Instead cups I never felt like I was lugging things around inside my crotch...I'm not complaining, it's just a funny idea to me :)

I'm beginning to become very annoyed with my bra. What is it with bras? Anyone who is over an A cup needs to wear a bra, it's easier. Is there no such thing as a comfortable bra, one that is not PADDED, my boobs are big enough, I DO NOT need skin coloured plastic shapes to roll over my breasts to make them look "ONE CUP SIZE BIGGER".
For once I would like to buy a bra that make me look 38C and not 42DD.
I do not need a bra that is covered in sequins or one that is intended to squeeze my boobs together so tight that they endanger my breathing!
Also I am not shopping in Marks and Spencer for GRANNY BRAS that are designed to be more like a corset and less like support for your boobs.
Is there no such thing as a SEXY COMFORTABLE bra that wont cost me my life savings??

I'm burning my Bra...who is with me??

Also do not get my started on those thongs. Ladies you all know the ones, the underwear that are described as thongs when they are quite obviously G-STRINGS. Again with the fake diamonds all along your butt crack. Who wears those? You can be sexy ladies without wearing something that is so tight that you wake up with a yeast infection. Your vagina is not happy being smothered under black polyester fabric.
And scented tampons?? Whose idea was that? Your vagina does not smell like strawberries because you do not have a small red fruit between your legs...it's your CUNT. It's looks, smells and tastes the way it is meant to!! x

Hi..help?

Hi, I'm new..but that isn't the reason for the post.

I'm not even sure if this is on-topic..I read the community guidelines on the website....and I scanned the memories and what's below is a body issue. If it is off-topic, I'll gladly remove it.

I am doing a project that inolves the use of lots of condoms/lube. I was considering just going to the store and buying a jumbo pack of trojans, but wanted to ask here first to see if anyone knew where I could get bulk condoms for a more reasonable price. Also, single use packets of lube would be helpful too.

I don't mind purchasing them online, as long as the source is trusty and the condoms/lube are of a good quality.
Any suggestions?

alright, issues.
so i've been reading the archives and i've found something that may answer my question, but i think i need more information.
Okay, basically I have issues. lmao.
So I'm not on my period, and I'm at least 2 weeks away from it. This has been going on for a week Friday. I've got bad smells, and I've got a bugger-like discharge. I was at work today, and i went to the bathroom, and my panties were covered in it. It's not my period, I'm sure. So I bought a douche (sp), and i was cleaning myself, but something seemed weird. So I stuck my finger inside of me, and when I pulled it out there were what appeared to be brown sort of like dandruff-y stuff. Grrr ... I'm supposed to have sex this weekend (oral or intercourse). What is this and how do i fix it?
Please help now!!!
