So after a couple years of hearing nothing but praised heaped on menstrual cups, am I the only one who's ultimately pretty darn unsatisfied with her cup? I've been using my DivaCup for over a year now, and I'm really not particularly happy with it. I find it uncomfortable; one, it causes me cramps, two, it doesn't even sit low in my vagina, it sits outside of it, so I can feel it unless I'm sitting or lying down. And I find it incredibly unreliable. I can put it in the exact same way, feel it pop, twist it, and a few hours later look at my underwear or bed and all the blood that should be in the cup is there. I still use my cup because I feel better about wasting less product and also saving money, but I can't wear it to work because I'm a carpenter who does a lot of heavy lifting, and straining just pushes it further out of my vagina, not to mention I never know when I'm going to have a giant red stain in my pants. I pretty much only wear it at home when it doesn't matter that much about having reliable protection and when I'm not going to be moving around a whole lot.
I'm not looking for advice; I've received scads of it, tried it all, to no avail. It just seems strange that out of so many women I'm exposed to who've tried the cup, I'm the only one who's not satisfied. So am I the only one?
