Hey everyone! I just have a quick question about birth control. I looked through the archives and I didn't find anything that could answer my question, so here I am.

Is there a birth control pill out there that will not cause weight gain?

Thanks muchly :)

Quick Question about Ortho Trycyclen -

I've been on it for 10 days now. Is this what's making my boobs so incredibly sore? If so, how long can I expect this to last? Thanks!

Period?

Sorry to post AGAIN. I know it's probably extremely annoying and I apologize. I'm just a little bit worried and need some reassurance.

I posted before about spotting. Well, today I pretty much got a period. I wore a pantyliner to school today, expecting a little bit of spotting, and when I got home there was enough blood to have soaked through. I'm just starting my 3rd week and I'm not due for my period until next Tuesday. I was very regular even when I first started my period, and even more regular when I got on the pill. This is very odd for me.

I had thicker and stringier (if thats a word) than usual discharge about a week ago, but not much different. Is there any way I could have been ovulating? The blood is a very, very dark brown. It's also much thicker and chunkier than the usual 'old blood' I get at the end of my period. Just the look of it kind of worried me because I've never had it before.

Anyone have any ideas? Thank you SO much if you reply. You have no idea how much just one reply would help. And thank you to whoever replied before.

Hiya girls!
Great community this - I keeping popping back to it, la la la.

Ok, so here is the thing: I am doing an art piece on the female genital organs and what I need at the moment is a variety of different views about how women see their vagina, clitoris etc etc. I would be SO grateful if you could provide me with your own view on your own vagina, obviously all comments will be confidential. I just need quotes and stuff to use for my research. Thank you in advance!
So post away, and tell! :-)

I was at my friendly local Planned Parenthood today, and they regret to inform us, yet again, that due to cuts in state funding, they are being forced to raise prices.

ARRGH!

So please, all you hard core, rockin' women... pick up a voter registration card. We need you!

I looked through the archives and surprisingly I didn't find anything on this...

How many minutes can vary between the time you take a birth control pill each day and still remain fully protected? I know 30 mins is definitely way too much, but is 5 minutes or 10 minutes difference okay?

So I switched from NuvaRing to the Pill, Alesse.

I won't start taking the Pill until a couple weeks from now, but I was wondering, don't you have to take it at a certain hour every day?

What hour would you guys suggest? Does taking it with food really help with nausea? Do any of you take it without food and feel fine? Because if I absolutely HAVE to take it with food to prevent nausea, then I need to find a normal eating time of the day.

What hours do you guys find most convenient?

I appreciate any input! :) Thanks ladies!

Hiya!

Before now, I've always only used pads for my period but this month I'd like to try tampons for the very first time and see how I like them. The thing is, I don't know how to insert them. Oh they have the nice little manual that has a picture guide but it didn't help very much. They say sitting on the toilet with your legs spread might be the easiest way or having one foot on the toilet seat or something...but I'm kind of a bigger girl and I'm not sure if it would be terribly easy for me to access my vagina enough to see what I'm doing. *Smacks her forehead, blushing*

Can anyone give me some advice on how they find it the easiest to insert a tampon? I'm sorry if this is asked often enough - I checked the memories but something isn't working for me and nothing'll show up, despite the 657 entries they claim to hold. x.o

Any help would be very much appreciated! :)

Am I the only woman in the world who has a heavier, longer period when on birth control? I just had my first period while on Mircette, and I'm on the fifth day and still bleeding moderately. When not on birth control, my period is exactly four days, with the first being the heaviest and the fourth being only spotting. Does this happen to anyone else? Should this diminish the longer I take the pill?

I'm on Mircette, if it makes a difference. Thanks, girls. :)

This isnt really a question, but I wanted to share.

I'm going on Mircette soon, and today I went to the military clinic to pick up my pills because I can get them for free there. When the pharmacist was making sure that the right thing was being given to me, I noticed my psychology teacher from last year enter the clinic. She smiled and started walking over to talk to me right when the pharmacists says... "Remember to take your BIRTH CONTROL at the same time each day.. if you don't take THE PILL art the same time every day, it can be less effective." (With emphasis and all)

It's more than I needed my teacher to know.

3. if that was a miscarriage, is there a certain amount of time your body takes before it lets you get pregnant again? i really really wanna be pregnant so that's why i'm asking.
