The last time i've had my period was about 9 - 11 months ago, i'm 15 and theyre pretty irregular, also
i havent had sex before. should i be worried?

has anyone else had this happen to them before?

i checked it out today and theyve given me some herbal medicine to regulate it, but opinions?

you don't have to have all of these, but these are fairly common: irregular periods. abnormal hair growth (about the face or around the nipples). acne, but as a teen, you get acne anyway. being a little overweight. when i was a teen, i wasn't overweight at all, but i still had the pcos. i just didn't know. i wasn't ovulating, i had bad cramps, heavy bleeding. sometimes i have really long periods, sometimes 2 in one month, or other times, i won't have one for 3-8 months. my cycle was wacky, and i continue to, now at 27, have a few hitches with my periods, but as of late, they've begun to stabilize. hopefully, they'll stay that way.

again, this may not be something you have, but it's always good to know, as it can affect your insulin resistance as you get older, and can cause fertility issues should you want to have a baby. lots of times, this is something that is in the family. maybe you have an aunt or cousin or two who haven't been able to have kids or whatever. i only noticed that the women on my father's side all had this problem after i was diagnosed. i only got diagnosed after i tried to get pregnant. but looking back, i had all of the classic symptoms very early on.
