So are there any actual health benefits to wearing panties? I haven't worn any in probably more than a week, simply because they gekt icky SO fast and I'm too lazy to do that much laundry. When I think about it, the only use I can think of for underwear is holding pads in place, and insurance against gusts of wind while wearing a skirt.

So am I missing something? Is there any good reason to wear underwear month-round?

This is what my mum always said to me.
Woman tend to drip a little after they go to the bathroom, so personally, I would rather wear underwear, so I could change my knickers, rather than spend a day with pee patches on my trousers or skirt.
Also, if you shave or anything down there, trousers are gonna be uncomfortable to rub against, and if you don't shave, well, if you wear jeans then you got the risk of getting your pubes caught in a zipper! Ouch!

Also, if you get discharge, it would be alot better to change your underwear, when sometimes it can leave stains, and imagine that in your favourite trousers? Or a skirt! It would be down your leg! (sorry, tmi)

If it's a laundry thing, just get those cheap multi packs of underwear and then you won't need to wash them as often because you'll have lots!

I was staring at it, too... trying to decide whether it's wax, corn syrup, or what...

Women don't drip after going to the bathroom if they wipe... I don't wear underwear, and I've never had "pee patches" or discharge on clothing. Or pubes caught in a zipper! hahaha.

"Women don't drip after going to the bathroom if they wipe..." Have you given birth to any children, vaginally? Women can drip after they urinate even after wiping. The older you get the more of a problems this can become. Even with kegel exercise.

I don't know how to say this, but I find your icon really triggering for self-injury and sexual assault. Would you consider not using it here?

I agree. I wanted clarification of just exactly what it is since it goes so fast before saying so, but all I know is it's blood and it really freaked me out..

Blood freaked you out? In a community about vaginas? Ironic.

Coming from vaginas? No. Spilling out from god-knows-where, with some sort of membrane on the floor, with the body saturated in blood? Yes.

i think it's more the "gore" than the "blood", honestly.

There is quite a difference between menstruation, which is healthy and natural, and blood from injuries, especially in such copious amounts.

I agree. I think its really...difficult to look at. And I'm not a survivor of sexual assault, and have never struggled with self-injury. I can't imagine how it would make those who have been through more tramatic events than I would feel.

Right...I agree too, especially as an ex-cutter, who still struggles with it.

I guess I'm the only one that liked the icon.
Lol

And as a clarification I've been through 2 sexual assaults and used to be heavily into self-injury...it.. just doesn't bother me, though.

Eh, everyone's different.

How strange. I've never dripped after wiping myself. (Now, my spouse -- the urethra is so much longer that sometimes he does drip.) I would, indeed, be inclined to get a regular dripping-after-wiping checked out by a urologist (or other doctor), in case there was some problem with the muscles of the bladder being unable to hold the urine in.

I also don't think jeans seams are more or less uncomfortable whether shaved or not. *grin* That's a personal experience, though; I do prefer undies with tight pants.
