I'm 18 and a virgin. I have a question about masturbation for all the wiser and more experience females out there. Earlier today I was masturbating and usually I just clitoral stimulation and can't get off from using my fingers as my fingers are quite short and give me no sort of pleasure whatsoever. You put the marker in you, or used it to play with your clit? If you were able to insert the entire marker and you've never broken your hymen before, then you may have partially or completely "popped your cherry"/broken your hypen that way.

Eh, it can vary person to person how long/much you bleed. If you didn't feel tons of pain, then I doubt you cut yourself. I'd bet my bottom dollar that you just broke your hymen. No biggie!

It is quite common for someone your age to have what we call an ectropion, which is nothing more than a normal anatomic variant where the cervix is very friable and bleeds lightly with light trauma (such as during sexual activity). It's nothing to worry about, not a sign of any abnormal condition. In my mind it is equally likely that the source is either the hymen or the cervix.

If you are still worried or bleeding, see a gynecologist who will take a look and give you the answer on the spot.

This isn't exactly reassuring... but some women bleed for a day or two or more when they break their hymen. If you're bleeding a LOT then you may have cut yourself, but if it's just spotting and you're not in pain then I'd wait a few days and wear a pantyliner.

When my hymen broke I bled off and on for about two days. I'm no doctor, but I think it's also possible you might have scratched/irritated something inside to make it bleed a little. Or, you could have stimulated the cervix and made a little blood come out ahead of your regular period. In either case, I don't think it's really anything to worry about.

However, if you would like to get yourself a nice dildo/vibrator with gentle contours that won't be as likely as a marker to scratch, there are lots of online companies that sell cheap toys and ship in anonymous packaging. For the vibrator problem, you might consider getting a hand-held massager. It only does clit stimulation but works if you still live at home and you don't want your parents knowing what you're doing (like me). Homedics makes a lot and they sell them at Target and Walmart, so no internet ordering.

Though this varies a lot by location. For example... there is no store in my area. There is one store in town that sells magazines and videos and Rough Rider condoms, but it's definitely not women-friendly. While they occasionally have cheapo novelty vibes on display, they're not regularly stocked, so it's not always even worth the trouble of going to look.

The next store is over an hour away, and the next good store is 3 hours from me. ;)

If you are going to put things in your vagina that are not made for that purpose, it would be healthier if you could put a condom over them. Some plastics are porous and then bacteria can grow on the object.

Depending on how nosey your mother is, it could be a problem, but I bet it's easier to hide some condoms than it is to hide a dildo.
