Hey Ladies!

I'm not sexually active, but I take birth control (Yaz) to help clear up my skin and reduce cramps/period woes.

I sometimes forget to take it, and since i'm not worried about getting pregnant, i'll just take a regular dose the next day. Sometimes this works out to me taking a pill every other day.

Is this ok to do, hormonally? Or is my body going to be all like WTF!?!

I can't remember what it's meant to do for skin, think it varies, but Mirena is meant to be very good for reducing period woes. Indeed, it almost always reduces bleeding and cramping, and often stops periods altogether. Since it's a form of IUD, it's effective no matter how bad your memory is. (I have a lousy memory too, I've got a copper IUD in.) Because the hormones are delivered locally, the dose is smaller and less likely to upset your system. It's also the most effective method of contraception in existence. [livejournal.com profile] iud_divas is the place to find out more.
