Should I wait until after I'm done with my period to start taking my tea tree oil suppository (pessary)?

Also, should I take it at night so it stays in longer, or just anytime during the day?

I think I need a little more information to be able to best help you.

First, are you using the tea tree oil pessary to treat a yeast infection? If so, some women find that menstruation "flushes out" the infection without other treatment and restores the vagina's healthy pH balance. Of course, if you're in discomfort and don't want to wait that long, you can begin treating now.

Additionally, how is this pessary composed? I've heard of being able to purchase pre-made tea tree oil pessaries at some health food and drug stores, but I've never seen one, so I couldn't help you there. This site (http://www.msu.edu/user/eisthen/yeast/yourself.html) suggests making a pessary by applying tea tree oil (along with lube or olive oil) to a tampon. If it's something like that, I think it would be fine to use during the day, as there's not much chance of it running out; however, if it's something that could potentially cause a lot of discharge, you might be better off waiting until night.

Hmmm... It's kind of tricky. Since they're capsules filled with liquid, it sounds like they have the potential to be oozy if you tried them during the day. Personally, I'd play it safe and wait until nighttime, at least for the first one. Once you've tried them, you can figure out how to adjust from there.

Good luck!
