The subject is pretty self explanatory haha..

But it all started happening back in Jan. or Feb...My periods are too frequent and too long, they're about 2 weeks in between each other and last about 2 weeks -_- I talked to my gyno about it and she thinks it's a horomone imbalance...however my mom (because it's not HER problem) hasnt taken me to get all that checked :/ I'm getting really fucking sick of this...i feel like i'm ALWAYS bleeding!!!!

I'm supposed to go down to the lab and get a bunch of thyroid, horomones and some other shit checked out...pretty much they'll take tubes and tubes of blood and test them and get back to me, after that i need to get back to the gyno to figure out a plan...however...my gyno app. was back in March, she asked me to go get everything checked that following week, and then get back to her asap...Well it's almost June now annnnd NOTHING has gotten taken care of...I cant confront my mom about it because when i do all she does is scream at me...

Like i said before, not her problem, not getting taken care of..the end

This is more of a rant than anything because i am now on day 11 of yet another mind numbing period and it doesnt look like it's gunna be slowing down...I just want this problem fixed...End of story...

!@#$%^&*

I had that same imbalance, where I was having 2 periods a month, each lasting 8 days, and then I went from having nothing but cramps, no period for a month and a half (with no possible pregnancy). My doc did some bloodwork, but all she did after that was put me on the pill, and everything has been great since. Is it possible for you to call your doc and explain the situation to her and see if she will give you a prescription?

good luck! and I think you need to start acting like you are dying, and maybe start crying constantly in front of your mother to earn sympathy... I'm so sorry you have to go through this!

Hormone imbalance sounds about right to me - I had the same problem when I was on depo provera (talk about messing with my hormones), and by the time I was off it, I was on my period for 2 months straight.

It gets to be kind of annoying after a while.

Just a thought - do you eat much soy? Or non-organic meat? If so, you might consider cutting those out of your diet and see if you notice a difference after a couple of weeks. Soy has lots of isoflavones (essentially, estrogen), and non-organic meat is treated with hormones to fatten them up and make more meat per animal, and more tender.

Good luck!!

I am living this right now too. I have my period for 12-14 days. By the time I am done bleeding I ovulate, then start bleeding again 2 weeks later. It sucks. They checked me for cysts and fibroids but it's just hormones. They want me back on the pill.. but after the experiences I have had w/ BC pills.. I would rather suffer through the long periods. GOOD LUCK!! Maybe you can find an alternative, and if you do PLEASE let me know!
