Not sure what is wrong with me

A few months back I had UTI and I don't know if it ever went away or not I felt better for a while but still had a dull pain in the area where i sit down on my left side. This past week it the pain has become a lot worst and I something feel pain under my left rib area . I dont really have burning when i go to the bathroom but I do notice only at night that I get up to use the bathroom a lot
Any one help please. I'm going to the doctors but I want to go next week cause I'm on my period now the pain is bad though

It could be a kidney infection. I know when I have one there is a dull pain aroudn the area you are talking about, usually it gets worse as time goes by. Since you don't think you ever fully got rid of the UTI, it could have moved to your kidneys. I'd go to the doctor ASAP. Doesn't matter if you are on your period, you should only have to provide a urine sample for a diagnosis.

Sounds like a kidney infection. I've had them when I haven't got my UTI's taken care of. Go to the doctor. Now. Get antibiotics. Seriously. This isn't going to get better, dear.

Im sure untreated infections can cause kindey problems, but I'm not sure what the timeline for something like that is. I just know the sooner you get it treated the better, not to mention the better you will feel.

Ahh, they CAN cause kidney problems! And they're horrible. Mine was quick because it was really bad, but, no matter what the pain is, you should always get it treated.

Yes, they are horrible. I've only had like 3 in my life. The first 2 when I was younger, just started as a mild pain & grew. But I had one last summer & it was a mild pain that night to a pain that had me seriously considering the ER at 4am because I was convinced something awful was going on. I didn't sleep soundly for about 3 days, it was that bad.

Ahh, I know exactly how you feel. I've had kidney stones as well - and at first, that's what I thought I was getting again. I was coming back from Florida - in the car for like, 10 hours - with a UTI and kidney infection - argh. I just like to get them taken care of, ya know? No pain, you'll feel better, your body will get better..!

Yeah, that's what mine did the day before it got me to the point where I couldn't move. I thought I was going through another Kidney Stone episode - and some people have described them as being in worse pain than labor.. so.. I like to get everything taken care of, haha. Hope you get feeling better, and everything works out!
