Hey there.

I'm a little shy about asking stuff like this, but here goes.

I've had sex twice and been masturbating for years. I am very confused as to why, even after sex with my boyfriend, my hymen is STILL there. I can tell it's been slightly ruptured - every once in a while I'll have slight bleeding and discomfort because I was too rough with myself. I was just wondering if it's normal for it to take more than a few sexual encounters to completely break your hymen.

Also, every once in a while (and this was before I had sex) I'll develop a little red bump around my clitoris. It itches a little bit but goes away after a day or two. I never have any pain or burning. It's only happened a few times but because I get paranoid I worry about it for days.

I don't use a vibrator or any other foreign object when I masturbate and occasionally I'll shave down there, but I've never pricked myself or shaved in the area where I got the bump.

Thanks.

1. I don't know about the hymen thing. It seems weird that it still hasnt broken by now, after years of masturbation, etc. You could have an abnormally thick hymen and possibly require surgery? I'm no expert, so talk to a doc. This is just opinion.

2. Little red bump.... hmmm... well one thing I can say is: if it itches, generally thats a bad thing. Go get tested for STI's if you haven't already.
