Hi all!

Maybe someone can ease my mind on this...

I went thru chemotherapy in 2011 which kinda made my periods screwed up (along with the fact I used to take BC and no longer do so my cycle isn't as predictable). Anyway, since July 2012 or so I've gotten my period roughly every three weeks. I'm currently using a diaphragm with spermicide (old school, I know, but my gyno said it's actually highly effective when used correctly and I didn't want to go right back to taking hormones after treatment). Last month I got my period on the 24th of November, and according to my calculations based on previous months, I should've gotten my period this week on about Tuesday the 18th of December.

The reason I am worried is because on Wednesday, November 24th I had sex (still slightly had my period still) and he came inside of me (which I've never done before using the diaphragm, we always pull out to be extra safe). Thinking I was probably fine since I was still kind of on my period I almost did not take Plan B but decided to be extra safe I would. So that very morning about 12 hours later, I took Plan B. I only had sex one more time after that this month a couple of days after that, but I used my diaphragm and he pulled out.

Also, I have had zero symptoms of PMS or preg. I usually have sore boobs, very emotional, bloating. I'm just very confused.

My period is a couple of days late but there are some factors as to why it could be late, but of course I'm still totally freaked out and worried.

- This month I had a big infection on my finger, had to get it surgically cut open, and was then given 5 days worth of antibiotics (keflex)
- This month (last week, on Dec. 13th) I also had a yeast infection from the antibiotics and it was a pretty bad one and took a few days to clear up.
- I've been very stressed out at work, especially in the middle of the month. Also had some other stresses going on as well.
- the Plan B could've delayed my period? Even though usually it says that it makes it come early.
- I took Plan B last month as well (I know, I know, I need to get on hormonal BC. Lesson learned. I just really was hesitant to put anymore hormones/chemicals, etc. in my body after treatment)

Any thoughts on this? Thanks in advance!

Hey everyone just wanted to seek out advice. I am on day 19 of my active pills with two more active pills to go when low and behold I get bad cramps during the night and begin my period. I'm only on my second pack of pills so I know this can be common but I was really hoping to start my period during the placebo week as my boyfriend gets home from a trip tomorrow! Now that I am on my period, what is the course of action to take- do I finish my active pills and move onto my placebos? I'd like to very much shorten the course of my period this time as I planned to have a lot of downtime with my boyfriend up to New Years. I was actually planning on stacking my pills this cycle to avoid a period all together but clearly that didn't happen. Basically how many placebo pills should I take considering I'm already on my period with two active pills to go?

Thanks so much and happy holidays!

Slightly concerned now. I've been on micronor for over a year, since I had my daughter. I track my periods, and they're always regular and nornally last between 4-5days. However this month seems to be different, I haven't stopped bleeding yet. And it's not just normal spotting, it's full on bright red blood that's heavy. I've done nothing different with my pill, haven't missed one or taken one late. I'm baffled! I went to family planning in the week and she just fobbed me off, saying if I had been ill ie flu Luke symptoms, which I have then that can cause it, but it's never affected it before.

I'm really starting to worry now, as it really isn't the norm for me. Just after some advice or if anyone's been through the same at all?

Native Youth Sexual Health Network
A Native friend shared this one with me, and I wanted to pass it along for other's info. The link is to an informational website for Native youths, and includes info for all sorts of sexual health resources
-both call lines, and website resources in Canada and the States
-a really great First Nations sexual health toolkit which provides a great deal of info about sex in a clear, simple way to make it easier for people who are new to sex to understand (trigger warning - part 2 discusses abuse and sexual assault). http://www.nativeyouthsexualhealth.com/toolkit.html
-Also linked are some good resources for 2-Spirited People. http://www.nativeyouthsexualhealth.com/aboriginalagencies.html

I hope someone finds this information useful!

So as it turns out, I know next to nothing about anovulatory cycles, and all of a sudden it would maybe be useful.

Salient facts: I have stage IV endometriosis; my pronouns are "they".

Up until pretty recently, my periods were generally medium-heavy, very painful, and about 29 days long (plus or minus four days either way...) with about 7 days of bleeding. I'd also started getting something I think is probably ovulation pain/Mittelschmerz.

For the last few months, I've (a) had longer cycles, (b) not had severe pain at the beginning of my period, and (c) only bled for about 3 days, and very very lightly, at that. Also relevant: at the beginning of my last period, I had an ovarian cyst burst (as near as we can make out), on an ovary that has one remaining cyst (1.7cm diameter). My other ovary looks normal in ultrasound.

Does that sound like anovulatory cycles? Because if so, I'm wondering whether that's likely to be related to changes in the way my endo is behaving, and what that means for The Future...

I was reading the post asking if people liked to have their partner come inside them, and I was just wondering, what does it feel like to have someone come inside you? I've never had sex yet, but the idea sounds pretty hot to me...but I'm curious exactly what it feels like, and if it feels different depending on if they're wearing a condom or not?

Hi everyone,

I had a quick search but I couldn't find the exact answer I'm looking for.

I'm on HBC (Millenette), yesterday was the first day of my 7 day break. My dentist prescribed me some antibiotics for 7 days which I also started yesterday. After a full days worth of medicine, I had unprotected sex. I looked up the antibiotics and they're said to interfere with HBC.. what are the chances of pregnancy?! Was one day of antibiotics enough to mess up my birth control?
