I am on HBC. I stack my pill packs together, but I started spotting about a week ago. Now I am bleeding like a regular period even though I have been stacking without problems for a long time. My boyfriend and I have unprotected sex but I doubt this is any implantation bleeding or anything like that because it's been going on for a long time and it's just like a regular period.

Can anyone explain why I'd bleed like this? I am really good about taking my pills on time. I feel absolutely miserable right now and I'm worried about what's going on. Does this happen to some people or should I be worried about something else?

Thanks for any help!

Thanks to everyone who answered my post about BV treatments a while ago! My infection is a lot better already. But it's not gone yet, so I decided to take someone's tip of using probiotics vaginally.

I used a probiotic Wednesday night with absolutely no problems. But after inserting a probiotic pill last night, I woke up in pain. I felt around and it seems like the pill is still solid and non-dissolved. I can feel what I assume to be the pill constantly, and it gets really aggravating depending on what position I'm in. I have vulvodynia and vaginismus, so I'm assuming that the pill aggravated one of these conditions, but I can't get the pill out to reduce the pain.

I'm wondering if there's anything I can do to help this pill dissolve, or to remove it?

Hello all!

I've been doing physical therapy for my chronic urinary discomfort/frequent UTIs. I'm three sessions in and we've been trying lots of different types of therapies. During my past visit, she noticed that my vulva was a bit red and irritated looking and she thought that maybe my urinary discomfort might be relieved (or at least supported) if I treat the surrounding skin. She suggested Aquaphor ) as a skin barrier to let it heal. She said it's highly recommended by dermatologists and gynecologists alike, but the ingredients concern me a bit. Glycerin is the second to last ingredient (of only 7), and putting glycerin on my vulva makes me nervous, as I have lots of sensitivities. Am I wrong? If it's just externally in my clitoral/urethral area, is it less of a yeast hazard?

Thanks for your input.

I have some milk, I am not pregnant, am on the placebo week of the pill. The only odd thing about this period is that I have been stacking for a few months.

So strange, its only in one breast but both ache.

I will resort to refrigerated cabbage leaves if I wake up feeling this uncomfortable.

Do any other females experience this problem before/during sex? I find I get way too lubed up even if my boyfriend touches me down there, and then it lessens the sensation for both of us during PIV. We do stop a few times to wipe us both with towels, but then shortly after thrusting begins again, I'm really wet. I'm just curious as to how anyone else handles this particular condition. Thanks.

Do you guys prefer a male or female gynecologist? I have a male gynecologist and I like him a lot. Just want to hear your general opinion :)

Hey friends. My husband and I have been married for almost exactly a year. We both practiced abstinence before marriage and thus are each other's first sexual partners. We're both pretty open about sex and various ways to have it. However, it's pretty difficult for us to achieve PIV sex. We can always only manage one of two positions: "doggy style" or me with my legs off the edge of the bed and him standing between them. You would think that a year of being open to a lot of things would have allowed us to figure out more positions, but we cannot achieve penetration any other way. We're fairly sexually active and usually have sex 3-4 times a week. The only thing I can think of is that he's pretty thin while I'm heavy. But I have no idea what's up. Any advice?

hi y'all!

i started hbc (orsythia) right after thanksgiving and this is my first week of placebos, which happen to be iron supplements. i know for a fact that iron can have effects on the color of your poop, and after my first placebo last night, today everything came out normal, but green! otherwise, i had no other ill effects or changes that i noticed. if my googling is correct (and it may not be), this is caused when your body takes in too much iron and has to get rid of the excess. i wouldn't think that taking the placebos would have any adverse effects since it's only a week of them, but i can't find any info online specifically relating to this happening because of iron supplements in birth control. do they really contain that much iron? i haven't even started bleeding yet, and i'm not anemic, so is there any benefit to taking them other than just making sure i stay on track?
