My period is due some time this week and I've been experiencing increased vaginal discharge that's white-ish and dries stiff. Is this normal? It's not clear and ropey like the discharge I experience near ovulation.

Can hot weather affect discharge? That may be a dumb question.

So I spent 8 hours in the emergency room yesterday after 2 days of severe lower abdominal pain and ultimately found out that while it was not caused by appendicitis (thank god! No emergency surgery!), it was in fact caused by an ovarian cyst. They gave me some pain meds and sent me on my way telling me to make a follow up with my ob/gyn within the next 10 days and to just take it easy, etc.

The pain last night and into today has been much, much less severe, at times barely even hurting, which is awesome. My question is, though, is it normal for the pain to be greatly agitated by eating? I feel like even when I eat just a little bit, the pain gets aggravated and hurts a lot again. Are there any types of foods I can eat that would be less likely to make my belly hurt? I'm really hungry from only being able to eat a few bites at a time before being in agony!

Thanks ladies :)

Hi all, I have a question about ortho tri clen lo. For some reason, my period started late this month, I only have 2 placebo pills left and then I will have to begin on Day 1 of the next round of pills. I am on my third month of ortho and I am aware that my period is still regulating at this time. My question is, is it normal to still be on your period when taking the first active pill (Day 1 pill)? I was under the impression that your period should occur during the 6 placebo days, so I'm a bit worried that my schedule is off.

Hi all - I have a question about the pill and the placebo period-pills. I'll put it below cut, but no really gorey details:

2 days ago, at what I THOUGHT was 11DPO, my temp dropped. It was about 2 days early for my period, but that's happened to me before, my LP isn't all that consistent. But...my period still hasn't come. It's now 13DPO (I THINK) and I had spotting and cramping yesterday, but today my temp was back up.

So...I'm kinda freaking out. I'm thinking...could my temps have been off and I actually ovulated 5 or so days later than I thought? Cuz that's when I started having unprotected sex this month, and that would make this perfect timing for an implantation dip and implantation spotting. But could my temps have been inaccurately high for five days in a row?! What else could cause a sudden LP dip and spotting? And is it too soon for me to take a pregnancy test? If I ovulated when I think I did, then it's probably not, but if I'm only about 8 DPO, would I show up on a test, even if implantation had already occurred?

General information about myself:
I'm 20 years old, 5'6", 145ish pounds, not sexually active, not taking HBC, anemic, and taking doxycycline (antibiotic/antimalarial).

This summer I spent two months in Ghana. I had my period, which is usually super regular and easy to deal with, the first week I was there. Since then, though, I've skipped two periods, and I've also been insanely bloated (maybe actually gaining weight?). I called my gynecologist's office and the receptionist mentioned that this happens to a lot of women when they travel for more than a couple of weeks. I know it hasn't been a really long time, so I shouldn't be incredibly worried, but I just wanted to see if this has happened to anybody else. Also, I haven't been particularly stressed out, which I've also heard can make someone skip a period. How long should I wait before I go to the gynecologist or at least my general care doctor? Thanks so much for reading!

Question for you all,

What do you do with your birth control pills when you're camping in the summer? I may be going camping this weekend, but 75% for sure that I'll be camping next month in august. (its either that or stay in a hotel, which i'm in favor of... but it depends on the boyfriend). My worry is that it will be really hot - today the high was 91 degrees F, and I don't want to compromise my pills. So... what would you do? How would you store them?

Hi all.
First let me thank everyone in advance who replys to my post =)

Well I'm having a really bad problem with vaginal tearing. This all started about 2 years ago when I was raped. I was scarred up pretty badly as a result, and have since had trouble with my skin tearing down there.

Does anyone know how to deal with this?? And any suggestions on how to heal them fast?? I have an appointment to have my mirena inserted on Monday and can't afford to cancel because of the pain. The one I have now is just below the opening. It's like a fresh rip in the skin.

Any help would be so awesome!!
