Increased discharge before period?

My period is due some time this week and I've been experiencing increased vaginal discharge that's white-ish and dries stiff. Is this normal? It's not clear and ropey like the discharge I experience near ovulation.

Can hot weather affect discharge? That may be a dumb question.

I get increased vaginal discharge when it's hot. I figure the heat and being sweaty means my self cleaning vagina is just going to be cleaning itself more!

I get increased discharge of the kind you mention before my period. I think that provided it's not offensive smelling and there are no other symptoms, it's nothing to worry about.

Yes, sticky and pasty thick discharge is what normally follows ovulation discharge but before your period.

Hot weather, I suppose could affect the way your discharge dries... How much water you're drinking, though, can definitely affect it, which might be a result of how hot it is.
