birth control + camping?

Question for you all,

What do you do with your birth control pills when you're camping in the summer? I may be going camping this weekend, but 75% for sure that I'll be camping next month in august. (its either that or stay in a hotel, which i'm in favor of... but it depends on the boyfriend). My worry is that it will be really hot - today the high was 91 degrees F, and I don't want to compromise my pills. So... what would you do? How would you store them?

Well if you're camping, you'll have a cooler for drinks/food, right? You can wrap your pills up in some paper towels and put that in a plastic baggy and put it on top of whatever is in the cooler to keep the pills cool without getting too cold.

Pop 'em in the cooler. Or just keep them somewhere shady and not super-enclosed (i.e. not in your car, not in the tent).

If you MUST put them in the car, I've found that the very back of the trunk (under some stuff) works really well. I'm not sure if it's just that our car is white or what, but the trunk was definitely the coolest place (besides the cooler ;) we could find on our last camping trip.

I third the cooler. I was just fine leaving mine in my purse in the trunk of the car, but that may not be a go for everybody. If you don't bring the cooler with you on a day trip (too big or whatever) you can use one of those insulated coffee mugs, only with some ice and the pills in a baggie. Same thing, just smaller. :)
