Hi, this is my first post to this community... or any community ever haha.

Basically, two days ago I started taking Loestrin 24 fe and for the past two days, I've been feeling crazy.  The first day, I ended up crying so hard over something small that I ended up hyperventilating for the first time in my entire life.  Today, I felt like crying over, well, pretty much everything.  It's really driving me crazy.  Last night and tonight, I feel so... strange.  I feel so nervous, I just can't sleep and I have such a strange, anxious feeling in the pit of my stomach with no real cause at all.  I don't feel like myself at all.  I don't know how much longer I can handle this, it's really stressing me out and driving me insane.  I'm already feeling stressed out in my relationship with my boyfriend and this is really exacerbating it.  And it's only been two days!  I'm worried that it'll take awhile for me to adjust, or that it may never happen at all.

Should I keep taking the birth control?  I do regularly have sex with my boyfriend, and it would be nice to have the protection of birth control against pregnancy but if it keeps making me feel this way, I'm afraid I'll end up without a boyfriend to have sex with.
Do you guys think it's even the effect of the birth control at all? Can it have such an effect on me so soon after taking it?  I'm assuming it is the birth control, because I've never freaked out like this before, but I guess I could be wrong.

VPers, a little bit off top but still sort of related.

I've got really bad water rentention today, and I'm nowhere near being on my period. What does it mean?

Lately I've been having pain during sex (the rare times me and my boyfriend do have it) even when I'm pretty sure I've been really aroused and ready for it.
I brought this up to my doctor when I had an appointment yesterday, but she said that she thinks I'm probably just not aroused enough (I've had issues with it before) and didn't want to give me a swab. I was worried it was an infection but she said if it was I'd most likely have pain at other times.
Now, today, I'm getting pain. It just started maybe 15 minutes ago, a burning sensation around the entrance to my vagina? I've had it burn like this before just randomly but now of course I'm paranoid I have an infection. My discharge seems normal, it's coming out white and gooey and not clumpy or dry. I've always had alternations between my discharge drying to a white colour or a crusty yellow (sometimes dark) colour though.
I really want to get tested so I can stop stressing but it seems stupid when I saw my doctor just before and she said she doubted it was an infection. It'll be kind of embarrassing going back this soon :(

So, in your opinions- could I have an infection? Or am I overthinking things?

I don't know if this has been posted before, but I just stumbled upon this and think it's FANTASTIC. The whole website it fantastic (information + design = AWESOME), actually, but this specifically reminded me of this community:

Thought I'd share!

IUD Strings

I posted this on IUD Divas a few days ago and decided I would post it here as well to see if I get more responses. It's kind of a stupid post, but something I am curious about.

Hey, there. I am a little curious about something so I decided to come on here and ask you ladies a question. I got my IUD strings trimmed a little at my 8 week check up and now they are different lengths. Not a big deal, and not much different in length, but enough to where it is kind of annoying when checking or noting the length of my strings. However, next time I am seen, I would feel like I was complaining about an uneven haircut or something if I asked to even them out just for my own weirdness sake. Haha. Are your IUD strings the same length or uneven? Now, I know some of you are sick of hearing questions about the IUD strings and could care less about checking them, but this is more out of curiosity if anything. Anyways, thanks in advance. You are all always so helpful. =]

So as you allll know, i've been suffering from recurrent YIs due to a new birth control, which will be changed in two weeks (YAY!). so firstly, has anyone here gotten recurrent YIs when on a certain brand? i've never gotten them before, but on levora it was just BAM, and has been resistant to everything.

this turned into bv, and back into yeast, and i treated both, but the yi is still kind of here. now if its possible, i think it's changed into a uti. im not getting clumpy discharge, and it actually has smelt the normal musky/sweat smell lately (sorry, gross, i know!) and is getting a bit clearer instead of being opaque, but have an occasional discomfort/itch, but its very slim. my problem now is ive been urinating, and then sitting down, and feeling the need to pee again, in which hardly anthing comes out. i don't really know if this is a UTI because theres no significant pain/burning along with it. if i REALLY think about it, i can be like "huh. that feels funny.", but it might just be me overanalyzing.

so, does that ONE symptom SCREAAAAM a UTI? and any additional feedback would be great. thank you!!

EDIT: i'm really worried about all of this, and its caused many nights of crying. i've been sick for a while now because a few months ago, on seasonique, my uterine lining tripled, and i bled for about 3 months (all due to stacking two packs), so they wanted to do a hysteroscopy after a few months on my new one, levora. i have had a yeast infection since the 2nd week of levora, and i have my gyno follow up on april 9th, but ill have my period. i'm so scared as to what this could be, and i don't know whats going on. i dont want to be on diflucan anymore because it didnt do anything for me, and all the vaginal inserts didnt help either. i know the YI is from the birth control, because i only have had one other in my life and i was 13. im so lost as to where to go from here. i just started feeling better and now im so worried again. any help. please. :(.

I went to the doctor a few days ago for a YI and got a prescription for Diflucan. My labia is still pretty irritated is it ok to put neosporin on my labia to heal the irritated skin or would that exacerbate the problem?

I also just got nuvaring and I'm sure this has been asked a million times. Has anyone ever had it come out during sex or anything? and if I'm stacking it do I put the new ring in at the 3rd week or is effective until the 4th week?

Im 37, and thus out of age range for the shot. But Ive never had HPV as far as I know, all my paps have always been normal range and no problems, no warts ever, etc.
So should I try to get the shot? Would it be worth it? And has anyone here over age ever successfully convinced a doc to give them the shot?
