Maybe you guys can answer a question I've had for a while. When people talk about multiple orgasms, are they talking about orgasms that happen one after another when no break in between, or simply having more than one orgasm in an, uh, session. Because, if it's the later, are there women who can only have one orgasm per...sexual experience? I'm not trying to be flip, it's just alien to my experience. Pretty much any time I masturbate, I go for multiples, and it's been that way since I started having them. For me, orgasms are like potato chips, if you're going to have one, you might as well have ten, you know?

OTOH, up until now, all my sexual experience has been with my own two hands. Maybe things are different if there's another person involved?

OKAY! So i've been having the fluttery/twitchy feeling in my lower abdomen, possibly my uterus. I KNOW I'm not Pregnant becuase 1. I'm on the pill, 2. I've been getting a 5-7 day period on schedule, 3. Had a recen GYN appoment and the subject of my possibly being pregnant didnt come up while he was down there. Plus I've been having this feeling for about a year now (I just turned 20 yesterday whoo!)

So my question is, is this a normal feeling? I'm getting old and I'm aware that the body still changes. Is it just gas shifting around or something or should I consult my doctor? Becuase sometimes the feeling is strong enough to feel like a 'Thump' where I think my uterus is. Again, I shouldn't be pregnant becuase I've had this feeling for a about a year.

....soooo...anyone got any ideas? :/

i'm... angry now, and sorely disappointed with my gynocologist.
i had my appointment a 8 days ago, on tuesday. i went because of irregular menstrual periods (a lackthereof, and then periods that were lasting for more than a week. and i mean lasting for like two months...) (refer to this post)

well.
i guess i'm angry because the doctor didn't really say anything to me. he said "you have dysfunctional uterine bleeding." (telling me that before test results came in and without even giving me a blood test, and DUB is supposed to be a diagnosis of "exclusion" of other problems) he told me that "if you want to get pregnant, you might have to go through some hoops. here, start the pill and quit smoking cigarettes." and that was it. he said i'd also get another period after the progesterone shot that they gave me there on the same day, and it was to "clean out the extra lining" since there was a bit built up.

now, the progesterone shot bruised me pretty badly, i've had migraines for a week, i started my, technically THIRD, period about two-three days ago, even though i never really stopped the one that started in DECEMBER.

i'm sick of bleeding. i'm sick of being on my period. i just want it to stop. if i've already been bleeding for months, why induce another period? and not to mention, now i'm bleeding VERY heavily - moreso than a normal flow. this happened last year though during that two month period i had no help, there was just a time it was bleeding overly heavily. i don't know what to do. my gyno is extremely busy, scheduling an appointment with him isn't easy. but i can't even imagine what losing all this blood is doing to my body. not to mention the pms is so bad right now i want to cry, even though just five minutes ago i was angry enough to punch my gyno in the face.

is there anything i can do naturally to soothe/prevent any of this? keep the disturbingly painful cramps to a minimum, the migraine to a dull roar, the PMS so i can at least seem vaguely sane until this period of doom ends?

i just need support.
bleeding for nearly three months now... i'm losing my sanity.

Hey VPers!
I've suffered with severe Endo since I was about 15 or so (I'm 24 now).  I've never been able to find a gyno who would take me seriously or help me in any real way.  I don't have insurance, but I saw a few doctors who essentially told me it was in my head.  It took a trip to the hospital to be diagnosed properly.  Anyway, flash forward to November when I find out i'm pregnant and make the decision to terminate.  I go through all that and now I am not suffering from any of the same monthly symptoms that have plagued me for years.  Is there any correlation between the two or am I making this up?  Some of the research I looked at mentioned abortions possibly causing endo, but I can't find anything that would back up my situation.  Has anyone else experienced this or heard of it happening?

Thanks for the help!

I really need advice...

My situation:
*no health insurance (for me or family)
*income: about $350/month
*i have a bump "down there" and ive noticed some possible std (or worse?) symptoms.

im kinda freaked out. i hope i dont have anything, and if i do, i hope its not deadly.
i slept w/ 2 guys last summer and it might be from that.
i need to get tested but cant afford it.
even if i apply for insurance now, it could take weeks to get tested.
im scared.
i tried looking for free/low income std testing places, but couldnt find any.
i called 211 and they gave me planned parenthood which said it would cost me $260.
i could save up and get tested in a month or two,
but its pretty urgent.

any advice? thank you.

Wet tampon

This might seem like a strange question, but I'm curious:

Are there any negative side-effects to leaving in a wet tampon for any length of time? I'm talking about water wetness, as in from swimming or bathing, not bloody wetness.

Occassionally, I'll put in a tampon an hour or so before I jump in the shower. Generally, I don't like to take tampons out that soon after inserting them, as they tend to be pretty dry and pulling them out so soon is uncomfortable, so I just shower with one in. (The feel of cotton squicks me out, but that's another issue altogether, lol.) So, when I get out of the shower, the string is of course wet, and sometimes the tampon itself is a little soggy (not like it's squishing water all down my leg, just damp). Still, I hate to waste them, so I generally just leave it alone until it's time to change it. I've never really had a problem with it, but I got to wondering today if I should be more careful for any reason. Not really sure why, just curious I guess.

Any info/experiences y'all wanna share? Thanks!

Hi, everyone,

So I started my period a couple days ago, and I had a bit of upset stomachness and cramps, but it was OK. I woke up in the middle of the night from it, which has never happened before, but I took some ibu profen and charcoal and went back to sleep and was OK the next day. It's been a couple days later, and today I had some terribly bland food for lunch, but had to stop because I didn't feel hungry, even though my stomach was empty. I continued to feel crappy the rest of the day, and I thought it was because I'd hardly eaten — when I don't eat properly (either don't eat or eat the wrong things) on my period I start to feel terrible, cramps and upset stomach and all that — so I made some food for myself (potato) but I really didn't feel like eating it. I tried to force myself to eat, but then I was overcome with horrible nausea and spat it out and ended up throwing up twice in a row.

What could be the cause of this? I haven't eaten anything weird or potentially poisonous in the last 24 hours (hard-boiled egg, plain rice, bread), and I don't have any symptoms of the flu or something similar, so I don't understand. This makes the fourth time I've thrown up in my life — the first two being when I was little and the last being on a rocky boat — so this is totally not normal. The menstruation is probably not related (Wikipedia lists it as a potential cause of nausea though), since this has never happened before... but does anyone have any ideas on why I feel so shitty right now?

Also, I can't be pregnant — obviously, because I'm on my period, and also because I've never done anything potentially pregnancy-inducing.

I've had a pretty bad zit on my bum for a few days, and today I was trying to pop it (I know, bad idea.)  Anyway, it certainly popped - I had that squoosh/give feeling, but nothing came out of the skin.  I assume it popped in, releasing inside of the skin on my bum.  It *hurts* now.  Any foreseeable trouble?  Or remedies?
