I know this should be answered by a doctor, but I'm embaressed and don't want to talk to my mother haha :]
If it is a yeast infection, I'll start my period really soon, should that make it go away? How does my boyfriend get rid of it without going to a doctor?
If it's not...what is wrong with me? haha :]
Sorry if its major confusing and thought scrabbled.

UTI

Ok, so I'm looking for some insight on something, and I know I should talk to a doctor, but just looking for insight right now.

About 2 months ago, I started feeling slight stomach pains, frequent urination (sometimes not needing to urinate when I felt I really had to), and slight discomfort from urination. Believing it was from intercourse-me and my boyfriend stopped activity for awhile. We waited about a month or more, waited for the pain/discomfort to go away- and tried again about 4 days ago.

Well this time, I don't have the pain in my stomach. However, I am feeling the need to urinate frequently and not always needing to when I feel the urge. There is a slight discomfort after urination too. It feels more on the inside, not on the outside skin.  To my knowledge, STDs are more of a pain on the outside, and tend to burn all the time.

I only seem to get this after sex, it's not a constant thing. And this is the first time it's happened to me =/

Any help would be extremely helpful. thanks =]

So, I'm rather prone to UTIs. I don't get them every week, but I've had my share.

Recently I bought a pack of non-scented baby wipes from the drugstore. I was wondering if using them to wipe my vagina after sex would help in addition to peeing (or be worse, or have no effect).

What is everyone else's experience? And if it is helpful, should I wipe before/after peeing?

Thanks!

I was wondering if someone could explain to me what these feel like.

I ask because I have a Mirena (since April 4, so four months), and I know that cysts are common in women who have it. Since getting it I've been in relatively constant pain, though now it's usually just a dull ache that two-to-thee times a week or after orgasm gets bad enough to make me curl into a fetal position.

But lately (as in the last week or two, maybe more), I seem to get a...strange kind of pain on my right side, where my ovary should be. It feels kind of like...pressure, I guess...kind of like the kind you feel when you have gas, but it's around my ovary and there is no gas.

It's definitely not my apendix, as it's too far down and I have palpatted that just in case and it has proven to be in good shape.

So...yeah. What do cysts feel like?

Hola. It was suggested I post this in here to get some insight from the lovely ladies of this community.
Normally I don't have too much pain with my period. The first day or two I have cramps and a backache. The pain just varies. Sometimes it's really bad and other's not so much.
In any case, the LAST day of my period is the worst. My stomach just hurts tremendously, like it's just being twisted inside. I really can't describe it but the pain is bad. It's been going on for quite a while and most of the time I'm lucky enough to be at home to just lay down and ride out the pain.

Funkiness

Hey everybody. I have a question about... well... a funky vagina.

I just had a baby girl on June 3rd by c-section, but my vagina felt like it went through a lot during my pregnancy... discharge and such. I had lochia for about four weeks after that, then on the sixth week, I started my period (despite breastfeeding... awesome). My period ended a few days ago, but now my vagina feels... well... just funky. It itches and feels kinda unclean. I wash my vulva regularly, but even that feels unbalanced. My boyfriend went down on me the other night but didn't seem to want to stay down there, so it might taste a bit off too, I'm not certain. I checked with my compact and I have no unusual discharge or "cottage cheese," but it still doesn't feel right.

Does anyone have any tips as to what I could do to make my vagina happy again? Any washes or other remedies?

Thank you in advance!

Hey everyone! I'm new here and I'm using an anon account because I'm way too shy about these things. Hm I have several questions so I hope I don't annoy you too much... sorry if I do ^^;

Hm first a bit about me: I'm 20 years old and I'm still a virgin. Now the questions:

Something has been bothering me for quite a while now (for some months): the skin down there feels really itchy most of the times and the skin will start go white and peeling. This isn't inside of me but rather on the skin outside. Though the itching will sometimes go down to my clitoris. It's really uncomfortable and since I have never had any kind of sexual experience I figure it's just dryness. I wash myself with a special product for, erm intimate places and put some moisturizer (I figured this is ok since it's not inside me). That seems to help but the itch won't disappear completely. So, er, any suggestions? Btw I don't shave down there so it can't be because of that.

Now for the second question: I've finally managed to insert a tampon after many months of failed attempts (I'd always try whenever I had my period). Though the thing is uncomfortable because I still feel it. I read in the instructions that we need to push it in deeper if we still feel it but if I try to, it hurts. Also, I'm afraid I won't be able to pull it off if I get it in deeper - I'm scared the thread might break or something.

Another thing: I've been taking the pill Diane-35 since I was 14. It was prescribed to me because I had seriously heavy flows and also because of acne and that stuff. As I have told you, I'm not sexually active. My question is if it's alright for me to stay on the pill for so long? Won't it be bad for my body to stay on something like that for so many years? Also, will it give me any problems if I someday try to get pregnant?

And lastly (hope you guys are still with me): this regards my breasts. My breasts are a bit on the big size and I have this bad habit of sleeping face down, which means my breasts usually get crushed under my weight. This is a bad thing right? And maybe this is why they're so squishy >_>;

Ok this was it. Thank you so much to put up with me ^^

I know that vaginal douches should be avoided like the plague - what about anal douches? I was on a sex toys website & an anal douche had about 7 reviews all giving it 10 stars, and was nonethewiser as to their safety!

This is kind of a silly question, but... How long do vaginal medications usually take to leave the body entirely?

I took a vaginal BV treatment (Clindesse) on Monday night. Since then, the BV has cleared up completely (yay!), but whenever I go to the bathroom, there are little blobs of white stuff hanging around or coming out of my vagina. I'm hoping it's just the last bits of medicine oozing their way out; it's the same consistency as the medicine was when it went in (smooth, not clumpy), doesn't smell like anything, and seems to be tapering off.

Would it really still be hanging around five days after the fact, though? I'm a bit worried, because I know this medicine can cause yeast infections. I'm not itchy or uncomfortable at all; the only weird thing is the white stuff. Is it just the last bits of medicine, or should I try and treat for a yeast infection?

I've looked all over for an answer and haven't found anything. Forgive me if I missed it.

I'm on Apri tabs, which is Desogestrel-ethinyl estradiol. Due to some stupidity on my part, I've missed a week of pills. I was supposed to start my new pack last Sunday and didn't. I can't figure out if I have to wait three more weeks now until the Sunday after my period starts or if I can just start them this Sunday and be a week late.

The pregnancy part of the equation is a moot point as I'm not currently sexually active and just use the pills primarily to control my cramps. This is why I'd rather not wait until my period comes if I don't have to....If the period comes, the horrible pain will come with it.

Does anyone have any experience with this or recommendations for me? Thank you guys so much!

Around my period my breasts get sore. They've done this for years now and it does not cause me concern. However, when I tried searching for home remedies or ways to manage the discomfort a ton of "BE SCARED YOU'RE PROBABLY DYING OR PREGNANT!" sort of information came up.

So my questions are:
1) Breast pain before your period is pretty common, right? I know a ton of women who have this going on. Do you experience this?
2) What can be done for the pain? My breasts swell around a cup size, sometimes more, right before my period and are sore to the touch, bras are uncomfortable. I've tried heat and massage but both seem to make them MORE painful. Is there something I can be doing nutritionally? Herbs? Some other home remedy? Slathering them with exotic fruit? Potions made from bat by-products?

Thanks!

I know this may make me sound kind of stupid, but I was trying to explain to my boyfriend about the placebo part of the birth control pills..and how I've been stacking..and he was just like "Well that can't be good for you..you need to have a period." And I was like "Well it's not a real period..it's a withdrawal bleed..it's just to simulate a period.." and he was like "That doesn't make sense, why would you want to simulate a period? There has to be some other reason they give you the placebos to bleed once a month." And I didn't know! What is the point of them? Why can't there just be all hormones, no placebos, all year long? I mean even those Seasonique or whatever, you still get blood a few times a year, right? Why is that? Why do we have to bleed if it isn't a real period? Someone please explain exactly how this works? Thanks.

Okay...kinda TMI but I'm a little freaked out.

I was in the shower this morning and I noticed that my vagina is different all of a sudden. I've never noticed this before. It appears that a new flap of skin or something is poking out...not even skin, but yeah it is skin (as in...poking out fo the vaginal opening, the hole)...ugghhh I don't know how to describe it but I don't think it's ever been there before. I know my body and I'm pretty sure this is new. What is going on??? I'm not pregnant and I've never had a baby. I also have not had sex in almost 5 months....my husband is deployed.

Help!!
[identity profile] pink-diamonds1.livejournal.com
I've posted a few times about having a pain upon insertion during intercourse. (I've seen several different doctors, none of who could find anything wrong and one said it was probably just in my head and to simply relax during sex---which has never been a problem and now that the pain has been happening I'm having even more trouble relaxing because I anticipate the upcoming pain). This pain has been going on for about 6 months now and I've noticed that I can even replicate the pain by just gentley pressing my finger against a certain area on my labia minora. Upon further inspection it appears as if my labia minora is slightly cut up. I'm assuming from rough sex and continuing to have sex (although incredibly lubed up) regardless of the pain during insertion. I can't go to the doctors anymore for insurance reasons (and my parents getting way to nosey and I don't want to have to explain to them why I keep going to the doctors while they pay for it), so I'd like to try some kind of ointment or cream to put on the cut. What would be the best option to use for a cut inside the labia minora. I've seen mixed suggestion by way of Google such as Neosporin, Destin baby ointment, and vitamin e oil, but I'd love to hear any other thoughts. I can't stand to have this anymore and it's clearly not going to go away on it's own.

Okay, so I may have made a thoughtless move this evening...

I'm taking Loestrin 24fe, and I actually just took my last pill of the pack, a "reminder pill." I start my next pack tomorrow night. Well, at work this evening, I drank one of those 15oz Starbucks Double Shot Energy +Coffee drinks (Haha... long day and I had a late night closing shift). The beverage has espresso, guarana, coffee, and yeah... ginseng. As I was throwing out the empty can I remembered, UH OH, I think I read somewhere that ginseng can cancel out the effectiveness of HBC.

I'm still on my period, but had sex with my boyfriend this morning. I start my second pack tomorrow night, with an active pill.

Should I be concerned? Do I need to use back up protection, or does it not really matter since I've been on "reminder pills" for the past 4 days anyways?

Eeek!

is it true that drinking cranberry juice can help cure your yeast infection?
[identity profile] brain0n-ska.livejournal.com

So, I posted earlier about problems I've had, and everyone told me its most likely a UTI.
So, my question now is, do I HAVE to get this medically fixed? I read that cranberry juice helps stop them because it gets rid of bacteria, and drinking alot of water to help you urinate and flush everything out. Also, I bought some pills that stops the pain while uriating, and stops the feeling of needing to go to the bathroom often. Since I took them the pain has gone away, but does this get rid of the infection?

Also, those tests that they have now to see what disease or whatever you have, would that help me figure out what Ihave? I don't know exactly what the results show you
