Trimming

Hiyo! I have a question for you all.

I like to keep my pubic area trimmed, and my SO likes to keep his trimmed as well. Usually I use a pair of small scissors, patience, and a steady hand, but he's suggested I use his beard trimmer, which is what he uses to keep himself nice and neat. However, I'm a little leery of having vibrating blades near my vulva, though he promises I won't cut myself.

Is using a beard trimmer for the pubic area a good idea? Have any of you gals done it before? How successful was it?

Thanks in advance!

Hi girls,
I'm not on HBC and my partner and I use a condom everytime we have sex. I know I shouldn't be paranoid about pregnancy because we use them properly, but given my cultural and religious background, I still have that voice in the back of my head telling me that the condom may have broke without us noticing.
I'm curious, has anyone gotten pregnant while using a condom (as in, did it break without you knowing)?

I'm 17, five weeks pregnant...and very apprehensive, confused and scared.

I had a feeling I was pregnant when my period was a week late and I was experiencing symptoms. I took a HTP three days ago, and sure enough it was positive.

This was an unplanned pregnancy. My boyfriend and I are both devastated. He's pretty firm on abortion but I'm not quite sure what I'd like to do yet. My boyfriend told me he will still love and support me no matter what I choose, but I can't help feeling guilty. He seems to think that this is ultimately my decision because I'm the one carrying the baby.

If I get an abortion, I know I'll be an emotional wreck and feel like a horrible person. But keeping the baby could possibly create tension between both of our families and destroy out futures. I don't know what the right thing to do is. My mother and grandmother both got pregnant when they were my age. I'm sure they would both eventually be very supportive and understanding. And I know I would find a way to finish high school and attend college.

Words of encouragement, personal experiences, and/or advice would really be appreciated. :]

TSS?

So…here is my conundrum…

I fell asleep on Sunday night, and woke up on Monday morning with a tampon in; I shortly realized I’d had it in for a good 9 or 10 hours and immediately took it out. Fast forward to around 7 in the evening- symptoms began appearing. Diarrhea and a headache, mainly. I began worrying that I hadn’t taken a tampon out, but I didn’t feel anything up there.

Today, the headache is still there, the diarrhea has reverted to it’s opposite, and I’m vaguely nauseous. I don’t appear to have any rashes or fever. However, I did ingest a considerably large meal the evening the symptoms began, so I don’t know…could this be TSS?

Thank you for any and all advice and information. <3

So I'm not incredibly worried about this but I'm asking here in case I should be.
I had my nipples pierced exactly a year ago. I took out the jewelry and let the holes close up about six months ago. They weren't healing and just more of a nuisance than a benefit.
I also started using the nuva ring at about the same time.
Ever since then, I have been having a little bit of nipple discharge. Its just a drop or so if my nipples are squeezed. There's also a slight itching sensation. It seems as if the discharge should've stopped by three months or so (I asked the same question in the BMEzine lj-community about three months back) if it were something related to my nipple piercings, but its still happening. I haven't noticed any lumps, but I also have relatively large breasts (a D cup).
So, should I be worried? is it possibly a side effect to the nuvaring? Anyone else have a similar experience?

For those of you who did not see my previous post; I was searching for vegan non-latex condoms that did not cost $3/condom. I emailed Durex after some lovely people mentioned that the company did in fact have non-latex condoms.

Here was theirreply: )

I just wanted to share this information with others who might be vegan &/or have allergies to latex or casiens.

Happy safer sex! (:

So I had sex last night, today I am having a mild amount of cramping and some discharge stuff, that looks a lot like semen (stringy, clearish white, very stretchy).
Just wondering if this a ovulation goop, or what.
I'm wondering if what I'm feeling is egg implantation, but I don't think you can feel that, I might be wrong though.

What does most ovule discharge look like?

I know it could also be semen from last night, but I thought most of it came out already.
We have been trying for a little while to get prego, so I think I might just be hoping this is ovulation or implantation.

Also the cramping is on my lower left side

I was supposed to start a new pack of HBC Sunday, but forgot the pack at work. Yesterday was Labour Day, so I missed that pill as well. And today I can't get into work because of school. So I'm 3 days behind. I checked the pamphlet for my brand (Yasmin) but I'm REALLY confused about what it means...

If you MISS 3 OR MORE yellow “active” pills in a row (during the first 3 weeks).
If you are a Sunday Starter:
Keep taking 1 pill every day until Sunday. On Sunday, THROW OUT the rest of the pack and start a new pack of pills that same day.
2. You may not have your period this month but this is expected. However, if you miss your period two months in a row, call your doctor or healthcare provider because you might be pregnant.
3. You MAY BECOME PREGNANT if you have sex in the 7 days after you miss pills. You MUST use another birth control method (such as condoms or spermicides) as a back-up for those 7 days.

I'm pretty sure it just says that I should take the pills normally until Sunday then start a new pack... but I figure checking is a good idea.

I'm not having sex or anything... so I'm not so much worried about getting pregnant, but I figure my body will be happier if I stay on them. Help? (Thanks in advance too)

So. Today, in the hectic going-back-to-my-apartment rush, I lost/left my just-started pill pack at my parent's home.

After realizing this, very irritated with myself, I called my pharmacy to transfer my prescription to my new pharmacy.

My pharmacist told me to call my insurance company - she said that they sometimes include "lost prescription coverage" where they will pay for one lost prescription within a set period - often 12 months.

I have BCBS FEP if that is helpful to anyone, but i just thought i should let you guys know this helpful tip.

If you lose or misplace any prescription - call your insurance!

soooooo, here it is.

my boyfriend and i are long distance. with the situation as it is, i have been on birth control for about two months because of his recent visit, but i stopped it when he left because i have no insurance and that stuff is getting pretty expensive.

anyway, my question is this: is it normal for your period to take a little longer arriving after you've just stopped the pill? with the pill, it was exactly 28 days, obviously, but it's been 33 and it makes me worry.

any advice you ladies could give me would help ease my mind.

thanks so much!

Background info: Non virgin, in a FWB relationship with a guy I know, up until today, haven't had sex since the end of January.

Problem: The guy I'm having sex with is rather larger, width wise, than the last guy I was with. I don't know if it was my body was unaccustomed to having sex as it had been quite a while, or if I wasn't prepared to be stretched so much, but... when he went to go push in, I was in an exruciating amount of pain. He pulled out and tried to get me to relax and get a little more into it before he tried again. After the third time trying, he managed to get in with me being in little pain. It was painful having sex the entire time (not unbearable but enough to be uncomfortable) and when

I got home, I went to the bathroom and noticed I was bleeding. Thinking this was just because I stretched a little more than I thought I would, I thought nothing of it. A little while later, I went to the bathroom and it burned when I peed, and when I looked down there with a mirror, I saw that I had tears just outside my vagina. There's three pretty noticable tears and it's causing me quite a bit of discomfort. My question is... what can I do about this? I know sex is out of the question until I heal but is there anything I can do in the mean time to ease the discomfort or help the healing process? How long should I expect for them to heal?

So, I was recently diagnosed with HPV. Which was kind of shocking, but I'm dealing with it and keeping an eye on everything.

However, recently I developed (what I believe to be) warts on the outside of my mouth. This more than anything is upsetting to me because I feel like a hideous mutant. I actually don't have any signs of warts anywhere else, just right on top of the right part of my upper lip.

Anyways, what I want to know is if there is anything I can do about this and if so what? Also, what doctor should I go and see to diagnose this? Dermatologist? My Gyno? Are there any creams or anything to get rid of these things?

I'm very sorry if this has been posted on before, but honestly I've looked everywhere online and I haven't really been able to find anything and I really trust all of you here to get me the best and most relevent information possible. Thank you.

I'm only fifteen, so I'm looking for some advice here. Should I be worried if I don't get a period? I have only gotten it a few times in my whole life, and those few times were extremely irregular. Does this mean I'm sterile? I don't mind if I am, I just thought it would be good to know, or am I just developing late?

Also, I know it's not weird to be nervous about sex, but is it a problem if I am seriously afraid to have it, I am in no rush, but does it mean something is wrong if I am not comfortable with putting anything into my vagina?

Sorry if this sort of thing is not allowed, but help and advice would be great. Thank you.

Spotting

I'm on continous birth control (9 weeks on, 1 week off). I took my week off to have my period. Then I started this pill pack...I've taken 11 pills, and I'm still spotting here and there. Sometimes it's just a little bit of blood/pink mucus after I pee. What the hell is going on?? It's annoying the hell out of me. I'm getting tired of HBC but there's no way in hell I'm chancing getting pregnant and I'm not an IUD type of girl.

I'm not seeing my gynecologist for another couple of weeks. Grr.
