lambinwoods.livejournal.comHi ladies-
I've been having a variety of problems with the little lady downstairs and ultimately came to the conclusion that it was a yeast infection, even though it doesn't have all of the usual symptoms. I tried to get an appointment with the gyno but they don't have anything available until god knows when, so I decided to try one of the home remedies. I've tried yogurt in the past and been less than thrilled, plus I have to go to work and can't really be seeping yogurt just now. So I decided to try the garlic.
Here are my questions: first, if the garlic is in, and the itching is down, and there's no irritation, can I sfely conclude that it is indeed a yeast infection? All the info seems to indicate that garlic will irritate a healthy vag, so I'm figuring, no irritation means no healthy vag, right?
Second, can you use Greek yogurt? That's all I ever have on hand, but it's not quite the standard yogurt. No sugar, yes live cultures, and much creamier. Even has cream as an ingredient. Good idea/bad idea?
Finally, does raw skin sound like a yeastie, or not so much so? For a while now I've been finding that I feel a bit sore and raw after having sex with my boyfriend. We use plenty of lube, and although he's a decent size I've been with bigger lads without a problem. This has been a problem for a while, just this time it went a step further to include serious itchies, hence the yeastie diagnosis. We have great sex, but then I feel kind of tapped out for a while, due to the soreness, which sucks. Any thoughts? Monogamous, no condoms (HBC), both STD screened, in case that helps.
I would be terribly grateful for any ideas or suggestions. I'm kind of shy about discussing the lady parts, so this community is such a godsend. As is an anonymous LJ. Thanks in advance!
